How much return are we expecting next bull run?

Hello all,

I will listen to the advice here and convert some of my altcoins into Bitcoin - will try and get the percentage of my portfolio in Bitcoin up to 60% which will leave 40% for altcoins.

When I first started investing in crypto Bitcoin was at £44,000 so pretty much the top and I felt as a newbie it was just too expensive so I went for altcoins.

I first started investing in Bitcoin in the June crash last year which is why I have a pretty good average price but should have focused more on it as I continued to by altcoins throughout the rest of 2022 also.

Are you a short-term investor or you have invested for the long term? If you are thinking short-term, 40% in altcoins might be a good decision if you sell them soon and take profit from it, but if you are going for long-term, 40% is still a lot to be invested in altcoins no matter how much diversification you get for that 40%. Altcoins, apart from a few, should never be bought and kept for a very long term.

Can we know what altcoins you are holding so that we can have a general idea of your taste in altcoins it would also be good to know if for how long you are planning to hold on to each one of them.

Since you are holding for long term, I would really advice that you increase your bitcoin holding if possible and be mindful of the altcoins you are holding. The big question is that will the altcoins still worth it by next year?
Some altcoins obviously will not survive the bear till the bull run comes.
But if things work good and bitcoin happens to exceed its ATH of 69k, with the current price we have now you should how much you are expecting. But altcoins have the tendency of giving a better yield.

For the next coming year of 2024 there's an event will happen is the halving and there's a chance that we might experience again with the bitcoin price movement of the new ATH, for me its better to accumulate a lot of coins as long as you can because for the Bullrun of course that's the time all of your holdings become worth it. If you will take a look with the previous price ATH its always break the ATH so for the upcoming pump still no one knows, but the chance is still there.

Looking at the rainbow 🌈 graph you posted, you can see that bitcoin is yet to complete the mountain - valley formation. This is a great insight that the 2024/25 bull  run will be massive.

I think it is unknown, even if bitcoin is rising we still don't know if it will continue to bullish or it will fall, earnings is depending on our limits not on the market condition because even if the market continue to get better but if we don't have a patience to hold we still didn't get 10x or more profit.

I won't say it's impossible, but that would mean 1 BTC would be worth $280 000, and the last big bull run only pushed the price up about x3.5 from the previous ATH ($20 000 - 2017). I personally don't expect the price to go that high, but that's just my opinion and it doesn't have to be correct at all.

I am of the same opinion. As the bitcoin market matures and the price rises, it is normal for the percentage returns to be lower. If this cycle has been x3.5, it would be normal going forward to expect at most that. Although we can't know for sure because high inflation or high adoption could make the return higher, but I certainly don't expect returns of x20 or more as in the early cycles.

I think next cycle we are going to have x3 at most. The $100,000 barrier will be hard to break, and I think the $200,000 barrier won't be broken until the next one.

You just have to keep holding because you'll smile at last, Bitcoin has never left anyone who trusted in him go unhappy, the market might be down now and encouraging you to sell but if you can resist that and hold just for one bull cycle to finished, you'll be the one smiling at last. Ignore all the fud ongoing and if you can't ignore online then go offline.

My expectations for 2024/25 is a minimum of 5-8x on the all time low of Bitcoin for the bear market. Your return of investment depends on when you got into Bitcoin lows, at $17k means a $136k when the null market comes. I feel we'll easily cross the $100k price in the cycle and price will go further.

we expect a very large increase that can occur 24/25. however, no one can say for sure whether this time the price of bitcoin will really go up or not.
However, I also have the same plan. I, will probably keep trying to hold onto my assets until the halving happens, or at least until the end of 2025. why only 2x? Don't you know if you can hold until the bull your asset will increase more than 2x? if you can hold your assets until the bulls come chances are that your assets will increase at least 5x from your current asset value.
bitcoins only 30% ? no problem, hopefully the rest you invest in the right altcoins. I recommend investing in the most popular altcoins such as ETH and BNB because they have lower risks and you will get maximum results when the bulls arrive.

since you are new , then you are only expecting too much , consider that things may come opposite to what you are asking mate.

Basically the whole jokes about "diamond hands" is real, because if you do not sell easily then you will eventually make a profit. Most people do not realize this but if you keep doing that and make a return then you should be fine, I do not think that it would be hard to make a profit in the crypto world if you know what you are doing.

I believe that if you end up holding as long as you have to then you should be making some profit, there isn't any secret thing in here neither, all you have to do is just end up with some bitcoin when you purchase and when you do that then you will end up with a good return when the time comes and if you wait long enough.

I don't know, I don't know how long bitcoin will be under $30k like it is now, but as long as it's possible to buy above $30k then that's also a good thing to consider. The simple strategy is to be consistent while hoping it will pay off in the long term.
