Decentralized Bitcoin that anyone can own from anywhere. Due to its decentralized nature, there is no central institution or authority that controls it. then everyone, including women, has the same opportunity to get involved in the Bitcoin network and benefit from their bitcoin investment.

Even though statistics show that the majority of Bitcoin holders are men, that doesn't mean that women aren't heavily involved. There are many women who use Bitcoin in the same way as men, but do not publish their activities publicly. This may be for reasons of their privacy or safety or out of fear.

I think with this technology it continues to evolve and more and more people, including women, are starting to get involved in cryptocurrencies. More and more opportunities are available for women to take advantage of this technology and become part of the Bitcoin community. although currently the percentage of women involved in Bitcoin is still relatively low compared to men, the trend is showing an increase. This is because more and more women are interested in learning about cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technology that is the foundation of Bitcoin.

that's the advantage of this currency, you can always prefer to be discreet with your activities. and most women prefer to be quiet with their crypto involvement. we may see that men are heavily involved but we have no idea to what extent women are involved in this. but definitely, they are growing in numbers.
in this market, gender is not an issue as you can be in this market without any discrimination whatsoever. you can always prefer not to disclose your crypto activities so you can maintain your privacy. this is why, we can never get the stats who are involve in this market.

unfortunately the women's share is in the minority in the crypto world, and it can also be seen in this forum,(...)
Why "unfortunately"? I can't understand why some of you seem to be bothered by men and women making different choices.
You don't need anyone's permission to be part of the Bitcoin community or to participate in this forum. In fact, no one really knows (or cares) if you're a man or a woman. These options are equally open to both genders.
If women, in general, decide that's not really something they'd be interested in and they prefer to focus on other things instead - that's perfectly fine by me. I don't have a problem with it.
I look to a future perspective, if bitcoin ever becomes a recognized currency all over the world and there will be a certified mass adoption, it will be a pity that women find themselves in the minority! this is my thought, obviously I don't criticize any woman if she doesn't believe in bitcoin, each of us is free to make our own choices

I wouldn't worry about that. If mass adoption happens, then women will certainly be on board. Women are a bit more cautious by nature and less trusting of new things, but once something gets popular and gains the approval of the mass population, they would become way less skeptical. We have already seen a massive influx of women into crypto when crypto broke into mainstream i.e. during the last bull-run.
Plus, at a level of mass adoption, we would likely have much more user-friendly bitcoin wallets, which would also help.

Adoption of Bitcoin is open to both sexes; Satoshi Nakamoto did not specifically mention using Bitcoin only by men in any of his writings.

Are you sure about that?

jk

I very much hope that it will be like this in the near future, but at the present date it is still a pity that women snub crypto, my thought which may or may not be shared.

If you really claim women who make efforts to improve the crypto and blockchain space are seldomly talked about how come their names and contributions are made available online and how come you have access to them.

There is no how a specific contribution made by any gender will not be discussed, the reason why you assume females are less celebrated in the blockchain space is because females in the space are few so no matter how the male echo their contribution it will not have much significance compared to when the have a massive number in the block.

I don’t think bringing up gender inequality in the crypto space helps bitcoin or the cause, it’s an unproductive political argument imo. There are no stats to back anything you’re saying so it’s all based on assumptions right now. I think if you truly want to make a difference, you can start teaching young women in your area about bitcoin and how to utilize the opportunities in the crypto industry.

Agreed, the gender is not gonna make anything in the market. But Women into cryptocurrency makes it a better place, because women won't easily get into technology based industry. Things have changed compared to the past and women's participation makes the market more trusted. This is nothing offensive, I personally believe that women research much before getting into something. So, women finding bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to be good is real growth.

As suggested it is good to educate women in our locality to make the real difference. It used to be little difficult, but once they get interested they explore more and make themselves highly knowledgeable in that sector.

~snip~
Registration information like genders can not be verified on a non-KYC forum like Bitcointalk.

This information is not required for registration and it is in customized options in user profile page only.

Will KYC now required be re-enforced in future?

Also people can have multiple accounts, so it's hard to make assumptions on the amount of men/women in the forum.

In any case, it's irrelevant, all that matters is the content being written really.

I don't see any discrimination here because we all know that bitcoin doesn't choose who should be here or who should hold bitcoin.

Also, if there is an increase in the dominance of women in the crypto space, I don't see any problem, it's even good. Maybe it's just that there are more communities here in the bitcoin industry with men compared to women.

You don't say!

As Bitcoin is open source and anyone is free to join (and no one really asks you for your gender), talking about unequal participation by gender is pretty pointless, as there's no central entity that could do anything about that (if we recognised that as a problem, which is not).

The problem could start when bitcoin-related companies/projects could be pressured by their local regulators to implement some idiotic gender/race quotas, which could result in a drop in the quality of the services they provide, potentially reducing security etc.

Other than that, measuring participation by gender could provide valuable information and be a decent indicator of Bitcoin (or crypto as a whole) achieving mainstream adoption. I'd say if roughly 50% of crypto holders/traders are women, we're likely already there.

For a long time, we have only talked about great guys who have made significant contributions to the cryptocurrency industry and those who made history using cryptocurrencies like "BITCOIN."
Women are more sensitive when talking about money, so they don't really care about new product investments such as Bitcoin. When we look at the stock market, not many women invest or talk about stock prices, foreign currency, or something of the kind. Because of that, we can't see women being one of top the richest person in the world. and, I think Women are better suited to manage family finances than the world.

Yeah, women may be slightly sensitive talking about money matters but I also believe they can be more resourceful on where and what to invest so that they can generate some money. But it’s mostly men who initiate first in risk taking investments like bitcoin, women may only follow after men. But it doesn’t mean that women do not succeed in bitcoin, they also made significant earnings in bitcoin. It’s just that men still excel when it comes to new innovations, and bitcoin is one of it.

Male or female can be a part of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, any gender can learn Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies because there's no limitation, it's just a matter of their seriousness. Not all men are interested with Bitcoin, similar like not all female will not interested with Bitcoin.

I don't think female need to dominate Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and at the same time there's no need male to dominate Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, it's pointless.

I don't think there's a need to separate groups of humans, Bitcoin is for everyone. Doesn't matter what group or groups represent you, because all that matters is that you as an individual want to use Bitcoin. That's it.

At the end of the day Bitcoin is money, and every person on earth can use money.

there are many women in this forum but they are more introverted,
surely they get knowledge about crypto from this forum
women actually join crypto because the way to get free crypto is very easy and they don't have to leave their children and families. money can be safely controlled family
How do you know that they are introverts? Have you talked with them personally? But maybe you can only say that because women are known to be feminine but I have observed that some women are too talkative on or off cam. There are also guys who are introverts but I think most of their numbers are extroverts as men are known to be masculine. The easiest way to get a crypto must be from the faucets but they are almost worthless.

You will need to hold a decade or two to be able for them to have a decent value. There are still better ways to earn a crypto which can be done by the women. Indeed this was better than working outside or on overseas because they can still bond with their families this way.

Well, I also believe all of these are just assumptions since a lot would chose to be anonymous in crypto rather than to expose their real names and genders being involved in crypto. But what’s more important is we already know that crypto offers equal opportunities to all genders, regardless of one’s  age. So if women want to create domination in the future, I guess the crypto community should start reaching them at their early age.

More number of women into bitcoin usage or more number of men into bitcoin usage doesn't gonna make any changes in the market. It all shows how aware is women and men in cryptocurrency. Just out of the women/men dominance none were able to have control over the market. It is more welcoming thing that more women are getting into cryptocurrency usage, because Women are much obsessed with fashion and beauty than technology. Here it shows the involvement of women in technology based advancement.

There's no restriction, limitation, border line, requirements, criteria for those people who do really like to get involved with crypto.Doesnt matter if you are a girl or boy, what matter most here is that you do know on what you are doing and you do know on what you are dealing with. As long you do able to make yourself that sustain then this is what counts.Domination is something that irrelevant.
Its true that there's no way that we could be able to determine which numbers is much more because everything and everyone on this online space could hide out their real gender and
names and there's no way on knowing that.

In any case you guys might be wondering why there are only few female in this industry is because, mostly women are unlikely to gamble. In their nature they aren't risk takers or gamblers. We are even worried that due to volatility, anything can happen within a blink of an eye. So how much more in the minds of women? They'll most likely choose a safer path to success, and it takes someone not ordinary to compete in this industry. We have to admit that in terms of multitasking skills, women are number one on that industry, but in terms of finance, Women cannot exert their dominance on that area, they are good companion to have, but in decision making, it is us guys task to handle the matters.

Nowadays more females now are involve in the circulation of Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. The income they could generate in investing in crypto currencies is high but also the risk is too high as well. We have a free world anyone can adopt the crypto currencies whatever your gender is. As time goes by our technology continues to develop even the younger ones could also be interested in the crypto world. With so much awareness majority could adopt on the latest technology.

I think that many women understand crypto even more than some men, it's just that society, unfortunately, does not take them seriously.
In any case, I hope that more and more women will appear in the crypto industry in the future. We should all work together to ensure our bright future!

Oh, boy, we've entered the gender debate arena. Look, I get where you're coming from, but broad-brushing an entire gender isn't fair, right? Just because women might lean towards risk-aversion doesn't mean they can't rock the blockchain world. Trust me, navigating the turbulent seas of volatility requires a unique individual, and I know tons of ladies up to the task.

But hey, since we're on the topic of gender clichés, let's discuss multitasking chops. Women are wizards at balancing numerous tasks simultaneously. Isn't that an essential skill in the blockchain biz? With constant action, effective multitasking is vital. So, perhaps women should take the reins in this department.

And about finance? Never underestimate a woman's financial intuition. They say women have a sixth sense in money matters, and who am I to dispute that? So, let's not write off the ladies too fast. They just might leave us all in awe!

I see that it's unfair but I think it's not the problem of the masses because not many does an extensive research and it's not like they want to, they just want the benefits most of the time, they don't care about the specifics. I think that this issue should be resolved by those in the team, on how they handle representation in the workplace.
