OP keeps logging into the forum every day to post normally but as we can see he completely forgot about this thread, which made me wonder why OP's friend didn't come personally to create a thread in the scam section of this forum and post all relevant information like the casino and everything that happened and evidence. and with that we would see if the casino has a thread in this forum, if it would have reason to leave negative feedback and support the flag or not.

If they don't accept your KYC after you win nor give you bonus in their promotion, I think those are some of the signs that the gambling site could not be trusted in my opiniont.

A KYC before withdrawing cannot really be considered in my view as a problem or an abusive condition, since it is pretty much a standard legal requirement. Now, to be fair, the site is playing the user in the sense that it is easy to send funds and then difficult to take back. Legally, the site is holding funds of unknown origin, so my guess is that they are at that moment doing something illegal.

May I ask how would you be able to solve it if the gambling site really do scam people. There are some possibilities why the gambling site didn't receive a bonus probably because he didn't meet the requirement of that first deposit bonus because some bonus have a minimum amount before they will be rewarded with the deposit bonus, but if he won big amount and submit kyc and decline it. I think you can consider that already as a scam particularly if they don't give good reason why they will reject your kyc.

The first rule to follow would be to only gamble in really big and well known casinos, with a huge user base and little complaints from them about withdrawing issues.

If your friend didn't follow this rule, and the casino fails to reimburse him by no legitimate reason, then he should sue them. I think you should take this to next level and based on your country and the legality of the casino operation you can always file a suit against them. $8000 is not a small amount and sometimes they might just release it with a single notice considering they would want to keep legal away from them if you are true.
