Hi there

I have been playing some time now on justbit.io. Won some money, and my account stands approx 8 mbtc. I asked to withdraw 5 mbtc and today they asked me for KYC procedure (ID and other stuff). By their site states explicitly that they do not ask for KYC if crypto was used to deposit. Update: They confiscated today all my winnings without any other notice, nor waiting for me to send them the documents.

A gambling site can state that you do not need to provide KYC before you can withdraw, but know that it would also be stated that they can ask for KYC at anytime. Those gamblings sites are centralized, because they do not require KYC for withdraw do not mean they can not request for KYC at anytime.

It requires KYC.

There's no mentioned if the casino will not ask KYC if you're use cryptocurrency to play, see the terms below:

Know your customer (kyc)

After registration process the User shall provide JustBit with valid identification information under these Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. The User shall undergo KYC procedure after completing the registration of User’s Account and:

   Before first withdrawal of funds irrespective of the amount;
    In case of a deposit for the sum equal to or exceeding 2000 euros or its equivalent in virtual currency;
In case of depositing in amount of 7 500 euros (or its equivalent in virtual currency) or more (by several installments) by the same User during a month.

Virtual currency is cryptocurrency and it has been mentioned they will ask to submit KYC in your first withdrawal, so it's your fault for not check the terms carefully. I don't know where and how you can make a conclusion gamble using cryptocurrency is free from KYC.

Any official information about they never ask for KYC from their user? I just have visited the site and try to read their terms and KYC policy. what I have found there.

See point 14, where they clearly said they reserve the right to ask for valid identification of a user under the KYC procedure for some cases. For asking KYC you can not say they are scams. Maybe they have found something suspicious.

That`s interesting because only ~2 weeks ago I had a "debate" with the justbit affiliate management and they asked me to edit our review, which states that "KYC is unusual but may be requested if deemed necessary". We decided not to remove it, because just like almost every crypto casino, they still have that term in their TOS, and here we are, me stumbling across this thread.

I have just emailed them and share the thread link with them. Smiley

Nb. KYC crypto casinos --> never-ending dilemma

Op, is this your first withdrawal? Because according to gamblingbro.com it stats that you don't have to complete kyc for your first withdrawal.
Although that review written by gamblingbro was made a long time ago so it seems like they have made some changes in the way they do things, I'm not able to give an explicit answer to your question because I haven't used the casino before (not planning to anyway).

P.s typing when the first post came, so according to his post they stated in their policy that KYC is required, now may I ask Op did you bother to go through their Terms on withdrawal,  deposit,  staggering requirement and restricted countries? If not then I might shift the blame to you a little.

If they have any representative here in bitcointalk then you should try reaching out to them so that they can clear the air on this issue.

They Have also FIAT deposits and withdrawals. Why you state "NO KYC FOR CRYPTO PLAYERS" in the middle of the front page of their site if you will request for KYC anyway?!

SIR, in the middle of their page they have just "NO KYC for Crypto Players" statement. I really don't see the point to check the terms anymore if this is stated in the front page. If it was for KYC I would play on Betfair, Pinnacle and WIlliamHIll not in some shitty sportsbook like this

They stated it that KYC is required for withdraw. Check it again.

But if the user is suspicious, they can ask for KYC again. I have seen many sites that like doing that, asking for KYC again or asking for another documents to make sure that the user is not trying to manipulate with fake identity.

Are you joking me?! Check the front page of their site. It states explicitly "No KYC for crypto players"
It's called as gimmick or misleading marketing strategy, don't really believe what you see in the front page because the true information is shown in their terms of service. There are many casinos using this no KYC strategy in their title or front page, but after some users check in their terms, they found if the casino is asking to submit KYC whenever they want. After some discussion, the casino don't get any negative trust which mean many users think it's not a problem.

They just do not want to pay, is that simple

I wouldn't conclude that too early, the casino wouldn't know a typical crypto player whether they are anti-KYC or not.
With reference to fully crypto oriented centralized casinos, I think as long as they have restrictions and comply with regulations will implement KYC eventually.

But why stating "no KYC for crypto"? And why you gyys tend to justify sportsbooks when they are being unfair?! It's a known fact that most of the sites love to scam you. I do not get these kind of things, really...

I have reached their customer support and got replies like this.

So, they are still saying there is no need to pass KYC if you play with crypto. Again saying if they need they can ask for it. So as I can understand normally they don't ask kyc for the crypto users unless the user has any suspicious activity. The same as other crypto casinos.

if you want a more detailed answers try posting this on casino.guru or askgambelrs, they do try and help gamblers that have an issue with a gambling site. I am not sure if doing this would resolve the issue but there is no harm in trying.

I asked them on email if they have found any suspicious activity from me other than winning approx 100 euro. I asked if my IP or device was used on other accounts. They just do not want to pay, is that simple
have they responded to you? would you mind posting screenshots of the emails you've sent and received here?

By their site states explicitly that they do not ask for KYC if crypto was used to deposit. This sounds me like scam. They will not pay me

Here you made another mistake of trusting their statements before making deposit to their site, what you should have done first is to pass through the kyc procedure despite they state no kyc because i know too well that whenever they noticed a huge amount in your account to withdraw they won't allow you to do that because they may suspect unusual activity on the account which may warrants them requesting kyc. At this point you have to be very vigilant while submitting kyc because to any slightest mistake it could be declined. However you may moved this topic to reputation.

If you look at it, this casino site is centralized, not decentralized. In fact, this has been explained by other friends in this thread. Please visit the link provided by friends. It leads to the rules and requirements at the casino. At any time, the casino has the right to ask for your KYC. basically you are not asked for KYC because you use crypto to gamble, this is just a communication error so it could be you who don't really know which casino is KYC free or not or you don't really read the rules and casino requirements as a whole.

If you really want to withdraw your money and they ask for it, you should just give it, after all, it's only KYC and actually it won't hurt you as long as you play honestly there, in my opinion there's no problem, the casino might just carry out procedures or your account is under suspicion, so my advice just do KYC unless they give you a hard time, feel free to share your progress again in this thread  Wink

Maybe the problem is that the OP doesn't want to pass his full information on this casino. And that's why he/she was attracted on it to play on that platform because of the "promise" of no KYC in the beginning and it's screaming on their page.

But after some winnings and OP wanted to withdraw, suddenly the casinos ask for a KYC.

So obviously there is a issue between the OP and the platform as there could be some misleading statements from the gambling site itself.

What's unfair with that? It is literally in their terms and condition Roll Eyes you can't do anything actually but to abide with their requirements after all you have checked that little box in the sign up form that you accept their terms and condition right? then why are you complaining it's either leave the website and change to another sports betting website and move on or  submit your KYC and continue playing in their website.
