Maybe every casino should be more precise in their statements, especially those that can be interpreted in different ways. The OP is definitely right when he says that he was guided by what he read, but unfortunately things are never that simple, because the real truth is always hidden in the TOS and is written in small letters.

I don't think there is a single online casino that is completely KYC-free unless it is something illegal, which is of course a completely different story.

-snip-
They just do not want to pay, is that simple

I wouldn't conclude that too early, the casino wouldn't know a typical crypto player whether they are anti-KYC or not.
With reference to fully crypto oriented centralized casinos, I think as long as they have restrictions and comply with regulations will implement KYC eventually.

But why stating "no KYC for crypto"? And why you gyys tend to justify sportsbooks when they are being unfair?! It's a known fact that most of the sites love to scam you. I do not get these kind of things, really...

At the moment, responses are being fair to both you and the casino based on the reserved right to request

valid identification of a user under the KYC procedure for some cases.
in the ToS. If it was not stated explicitly there on the ToS then manipulation could be going on the minds of people.

Centralized casinos have a way of trying to beat customers to their game. Unfortunately, I think legally such clause of reserved right may over ride

There is. Some of them are web 3 gambling sites, some of them are provably fair games usually the gambling site that asks for KYC are the gambling sites that has a third party games provider like third party casino games, sports betting, live casinos and others but sometimes reputable casinos do not ask for KYC and it is occasional that they ask for KYC for example unsual activity like deposit big amount and with draw it using other currency.

Hi there

I have been playing some time now on justbit.io. Won some money, and my account stands approx 8 mbtc. I asked to withdraw 5 mbtc and today they asked me for KYC procedure (ID and other stuff). By their site states explicitly that they do not ask for KYC if crypto was used to deposit. This sounds me like scam. They will not pay me

Have you read the full TOS? If not, then maybe you should review it. Sometimes, sites' marketing strategies are deceiving just to attract gamblers, but it's already listed on their TOS. So, it's wise to review all that stuff so you know when to complain.

8 mbtc could be a lot of money, if you can comply with the KYC, then maybe just comply to withdraw the funds. Now, if they still don't release your funds after you complied, then we can conclude that the site is scam.

SIR, in the middle of their page they have just "NO KYC for Crypto Players" statement. I really don't see the point to check the terms anymore if this is stated in the front page. If it was for KYC I would play on Betfair, Pinnacle and WIlliamHIll not in some shitty sportsbook like this

I also did talk with the casino's live chat and they confirmed that you don't need to pass KYC verification before you can withdraw unless somehing comes up and they request that you submit the required documents needed to verify your identity. To me everything looks shady, why the heck did they put "NO KYC" when they know that they will someday or at some point in time require useres to submit their documents the whole "NO KYC REQUIRED" thing just looks like a bait to me, and for that i would say that their marketing strategy is not okay since they are trying to manipulate their customers into doing what they never planned to do.

I have reached their customer support and got replies like this.

So, they are still saying there is no need to pass KYC if you play with crypto. Again saying if they need they can ask for it. So as I can understand normally they don't ask kyc for the crypto users unless the user has any suspicious activity. The same as other crypto casinos.

"suspicious activity" means nothing. For them "suspicious" is everyone that is winning. I dared them to prove me if my device have been used with them before and they have not replied

without a doubt that the behavior of this casino is not ethical, they have no word, from the moment they write that in their casino they do not need to ask for KYC for crypto deposits and in their TOS they talk about KYC for everyone so we are facing a casino Liar, they said they wouldn't ask for KYC for crypto deposits just to attract people who love privacy, they lied. although that doesn't make them a complete scam because they still have their TOS that you agreed to when you agreed to use their casino. researching more about this casino I could see here:

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/justbit.io

there are many accusations of scam, looking at the number and style of comments i believe it could be comments from many people which would show that this casino may be providing shady services, my advice is that you do the KYC and then withdraw all your money and never again use the casino or else you should post your case here:

https://casino.guru/justbit-casino-review#tab=js-tab-reviews

I believe that when posting on casino.guru they will look and resolve your case because from what I see they care about having a good reputation on casino.guro

Based on what shows on their homepage it clearly says No Kyc for Crypto players written in bold and on display but on their TOS it says that they can ask for KYC anytime, they should have taken down that image it's very misleading but as a gambler, I'll definitely read the TOS to see if there are contradictions and they are the kind of casino worth playing based on my standard.
I also believe no casino can exist without a KYC I always question that if one newly launched casino will promote its casino as no KYC, it cannot exist in a centralized casino industry.

Back to the same case where gamblers complained because the casino declared non-KYC, but when there was a big win and the money was withdrawn, the casino asked the conditions for withdrawing the money.
It's better to ask their support first if there is a large withdrawal or not KYC because there are several casinos that have cases like this, friend.
In the future, you should always find out important information in withdrawal transactions in advance so that problems like the one you are experiencing don't happen in the future.
I'm not saying the casino that you say is bad or a fraud, but it's better to fulfill these requirements and withdraw all your money then look for another casino that is more popular and trusted, friend.

They have a pretty high score there. I would also like the OP to post there and see how justbit representative responds.

I don't like casinos that keep saying they don't require KYC for crypto users even though they know that's not really the case but I still feel like we're short on information here. OP already admitted he has been playing there for a while so they probably have enough data to investigate the account starting with a KYC. I hope we also get to see their side.

They will not pay me
Any centralized and regulated service platform may ask for KYC at any time even though there isn't mandatory KYC policy but with the site you mentioned they clearly stated that before withdrawal of funds the user needs to pass KYC so its you negligence towards their terms which costs you 8mbtc but you can withdraw the funds once you complete the KYC and whatever they ask so this isn't a sign of scam but make sure you didn't fall for fake website.

Are you joking me?! Check the front page of their site. It states explicitly "No KYC for crypto players"
That is true, the site said no KYC.

Gambling sites use this to scam somehow, this one is obvious. If you can do KYC, do not let your money stay on the gambling site. And if I were you, I will never use the gambling site again after I withdraw my money.

But very important, always read gambling site terms and conditions.

This is for all gamblers if you don't want to have future issues with your session and your withdrawal read the casino TOS and always get an update if there are changes in their TOS, don't just believe what other people are saying or what's showing on chat or homepage, the TOS is your guide on all your action in a casino that you're playing, this is another case of not reading the TOS, and believing that there are casinos with no KYC.
Justbit should take down on the images that state that they have no KYC for Crypto players because its misleading and they have a victim here.

[.....]
else you should post your case here:

https://casino.guru/justbit-casino-review#tab=js-tab-reviews

I believe that when posting on casino.guru they will look and resolve your case because from what I see they care about having a good reputation on casino.guro

I made a complaint on casino.guru. I also asked justbit to give me proof of any wrongdoing because they stated that they can ask for documents if they suspect anything. I didn't ask for any bonus, or had other accounts in the past on justbit. You guys have to understand that I do not play regularly and deposited just for that "No KYC" promise...

Some casinos are posting a no KYC on their advertisement just to attract more players which is actually unfair to those who seek KYC free casinos. I think the only thing that we can do so we won't feel upset is just to expect that casinos could probably ask for KYC on their own prerogative. Most casinos that announce or advertise that they won't ask for KYC usually requires it upon withdrawal which is very disappointing so we better be ready for KYCs all the time.

I browse the casino and it doesn’t explicitly display that they don’t ask KYC to all their customer. This casino has a license to operate from Curacao which means they are obligated to impose a KYC to satisfy AML policy to meet the license requirements. It’s absurd to not check carefully the casino details before you play on the casino.

Probably you are recruited by someone and tells you that this casino doesn’t require KYC just to mislead you on depositing money here. Also you should not play on any casino with license if you are not willing to do KYC because all of them will ask you to do it at some point.

Sounds like when you were going through the terms and conditions of the casino before you started gambling there, you only searched for terms and conditions regarding some key details like KYC verification and did not take time to read through the whole thing. You did good even trying to read the KYC in the first place, but you will do better just as everyone else here if you read the whole thing. That I know can be stressful, but it is advisable because only then will you get the whole scope of the terms and conditions and know if you will still play there or not.

You are wrong OP, going through this casino ToS shows that the KYC requirement is a necessity, it's just that it's not 100% pinned pointed, I get what you are saying but there is nothing you can do about this. There is actually some points about KYC but I guess you don't understand or you don't finish reading the ToS very well.

I am a strong opponent of identity verification when it comes to gambling with cryptocurrencies.
Because KYC with cryptocurrency payments is just a mockery of common sense and the very idea of anonymity of cryptocurrency payments.  Bitcoin itself was invented by Satoshi to preserve the anonymity of payments.
This is the main meaning and advantages of cryptocurrencies!!!

Here is another example, when, in general, the casino will simply not pay a large amount of money to the player if he does not tell exactly who he is and where he lives.  And he will give his personal personal data.  In these dirty tricks that casinos constantly do, apparently there is a lot of sense for them.  After all, the money will not be partially returned to those who do not want or even simply cannot go through KYC for their own reasons.  Sometimes it's not even safe for the player or can cause serious trouble.

I'm sorry, but I must admit that now "sudden KYC" is always to be expected even from any casino.
Alas!  All of them are afraid to break the laws, which are becoming tougher in relation to the population.
And on the control of finances in the first place.

It's sad that most casino is now asking for KYC. Non-KYC casino is a luxury on our current standards this is why new casino has these no-KYC offerings to have an edge to other established casino. Our only choices is to pick new casino that has no-KYC that has a potential to ask kyc on the future or a good casino that is establish but ask for KYC or a decentralized casino where fees are everywhere. Actually casinos don't really care on the anonymity that satoshi want, They just want to earn profit as a business and we can't really much do anything about it since it's their platform. Let's just hope that in the future there will be a decentralized casino that will offer an equivalent service just like a centralized casino that don't have too many fees to use.

<snip>
SIR, in the middle of their page they have just "NO KYC for Crypto Players" statement. I really don't see the point to check the terms anymore if this is stated in the front page. If it was for KYC I would play on Betfair, Pinnacle and WIlliamHIll not in some shitty sportsbook like this
Do not easily get taken away by that phrase. It has been used by different casinos, but most of them still ask some of their users to process KYC. It could be there were suspicious found related to your account or they are those that are suspicious. Or with a neutral reason, probably this is a misunderstanding.
