It could be just me, but I would not personally keep a journal on my gambling winnings and losses, I think I would only do something like that for sport betting, but gambling sessions can be so dynamic, fast and less dependent on one's intuition that I would rather to forget how much I have lost while playing dices and plinko.

Besides, keeping a record on it could encourage me to chase losses and further lose money, as many other have said, it is just to see gambling as entertainment and only gamble some pocket money we can afford to lose.

Yes self control  is a must in the world of gambling as we all know that every time we bet there's a greediness will come to our self that  dictate us to bet more and more even though we are encountered many losses which pretty bad once we loss and bet more then loss again. I think this problem is not too serious, which mean that self-control is very important, but a good attitude of control start with an adult mindset that can appreciate every money she has and can think long term before gambling.

I think you're oversimplifying the distinctions between the two in your thinking. The only thing I can think of that trading and gambling have in common is the element of risk.

All what you say is true but at the same time talking about having some addiction issues is still very difficult for most people, so even if they have the support network which could help them to overcome those problems while they are just appearing, many of those people prefer to wait and try to solve things on their own.

And only once they have exhausted all the methods they can think of then they will look for help, but by the time they do it their addiction is so bad that even such a support network will have a massive challenge trying to help them.

So easy for people who are not that same shoe, but if you are already in that situation and you are experiencing good numbers of winning streak, you are not going to count that and re-assess yourself, as greed will dominate and will lead you to keep pushing for more, it's more on how you react with certain limitations, if you see that you are losing more compared with the amount of winning that you are getting, much better to pause for a while and try to re-analyze everything, or better as well to have some break and take time to reflect the situation.

It's the best way to over exceed and regret when you suffer into deep addiction where you can no longer control yourself when playing with your money.

Yes, that is very true, there are people who have a gift for these things, you always have to give many factors, luck inevitably influences to be able to make a bet, but the fact is that things can work with a mixture of talent and luck, and a person who has talent, possibly knows how to read luck, and when not to bet, that is something that they develop quickly, while I am very flexible to do something like that, because I leave everything to luck, When I play in a casino I don't get complicated, I just play what I think I know and I apply my estarageguides and if I win well, otherwise no way, you have to continue.

Even in skill-based games, luck will always play a significant role. Without luck, no matter how skilled you are, you will inevitably lose. So seeking advise from others won't help; sure, it might help, but if you're unlucky, you're unlucky, and no amount of experience can change that.

Indeed professionalism in gambling is not based on how successful you are but, how smart you are to know when to quit and leave the casino board or platform.

Most gamblers who gamble irresponsibly is due to the desperation of winning at all cost, forgetting that thier predictions cannot be 100% correct all the time, just as the OP also said Anxiety and Depression can also be seen as a cause of irresponsible gambling.

The fact that a gambler would sell a high valued property worth $7k for $2k for the purpose of gambling shows that he or she is an irresponsible gambler, gambling at some point ought to be fun not only when you are on winning strike because it shouldn't become a career one would invest his life in.
