Oh man, I sure as shit wish that the fall of 99% of these bitcoin or crypto "influencers" would happen and happen much sooner than later.  I am by no means a bitcoin expert. I am very far from it and have been the firs to admit that since I found bitcoin back in 2013/14...but I swear I hear these so called "experts" with shits tons of followers, I mean hundreds of thousands of followers, say some of the most ridiculous shit left and right and over and over...and yet people still follow and listen.

People are inherently stupid, and I don't see that changing anytime soon..so no, I don't think we've seen the end of these "influencers".  ( Thank god Andreas is back!)

I agree with you....but it looks like there still gonna be people that will belive them. Like other people already said in this post, it's way easier to rely on other people to make investment decisions for them.
But I hope you are right and these people will lose trust of even the stupidest people on twitter soon.

Saying they are experts just because they are based on the number of followers they have is like admitting that they only have something standard to give to their followers Cheesy
Regardless of anything I think when talking about influencers are experts it doesn't make sense. not that i feel i am smarter in this but regardless they (Influencers) only do anything to enrich themselves and nothing else than that.

But even so when we talk about influencers I think their downfall is still not going to be doable regardless of anything there are still a lot of naive people or newbies who always follow people like this.

That's the thing...we can't simply rid of these influencers because developers will still hire them and make of their popularity to gain attention.
People will still believe especially those who are thinking about ways to become rich instantly, greedy people will tend to follow them and fall into their traps. They will never realize until such time comes that they lose $$$. Too sad but can't hide the reality because even if we spread awareness, they'll just ignore it.

Unfortunately, you are probably right. But still, if their influencers will lose their popularity, no one will pay them to promote their projects + there gonna be fewer people who will see this promotion and buy some new shitcoin.

Overal, I think this might happen at some point because people are getting more and more educated about bitcoin. Even I, when I only started buying crypto, was watching videos of people who said that doge will go to the 3$ in to days lol. But the more I learned, the more I saw that it's all just BS.

As people gain knowledge, influencers lose their traction, but to say they will completely disappear from the market, I don't think so. As long as newbies enter the market every day and investors remain greedy and want to get rich quickly with shitcoins, the influencers will never stop. And saying shitcoins will disappear from the market is unlikely, even as bitcoin becomes more popular. So far, many people have understood bitcoin very well but still choose to invest in shitcoin because they are willing to take risks to earn higher rewards.

You're right, crypto influencers live only at the expense of stupid/lazy people and bots. I think they have already started to lose their influence, as more and more people start using their brains.

But the world is still full of stupid people, so the influencers will stay with us for a long time.

I feel like this too. If you'll check Twitter now, you'll see that there are fewer people who engage with their content. Hopefully, guys will lose their scammy job soon.

True, most engagements below their posts are from bots. Just bots shilling memecoins and other shit and 20% or so are the real people talking.

It's going to a cycle though, as beginners who follow crypto influencers and then learn that they have nothing to offer but spewing things that they might not even understand in the first place. And so those become experience traders and influencers and move on to become good at crypto themselves because they did their own research.

But then again, a new set of newbies comes in the market specially that we are just a year before the halving. And then this influencer ramp up their shilling on whatever platform they got and this noobs listen, so it's just rinse and repeat for them.

It is way too easy to become a "crypto influencer". What they do to become famous is very easy and has been documented many times already. First, the rent out a lamborghini, then they rent out many expensives things, clothes, a large house, and so on... All that is left is to make a video with beautiful women and tell everyone how they made an amazing amount of money in a very short amount of time with nothing but crypto. And they are more than happy to let you in on the secret, for a fee.

It does trick the desperate and the greedy people but anyone with half a brain can see through their scam.

That is why I avoid following EVERY and ANY influencer. Its all fake and scripted.

Yeeees, it's all for the show and it's crazy. There are a lot of stories about how some of these crypto influencers went bankrupt because of the crypto winter.

But still, it can't go like this forever. Considering that people are more crypto-educated now and most of their engagement is bots, they will probably get less money from the advertisement of some new shitcoin.
Overall, I see good signs of people getting smarter. Nowadays most people tend to ignore BS and we have a lot of new users on Bitcoin talk. So I think it shows that people WANT to get educated.

I made a post about crypto influencers not that long ago talking about how people still trust them despite all the cringe and stupid stuff they post.
In the the last post, after reading your comments, I came to conclusion that most of the people who follow crypto influencers are:
1) Normies (or lazy people who don't want to do research and want to follow trend)
2) Bots
3) Bitcoin uneducated people

I would say most of these influencers have fake followers that just bump the numbers up, others could be the curious ones that want to hear whats going on in the world of crypto...but then again I thought these so called crypto influencers died a long time ago when ICOs become  obsolete..??

I think in the next few years, influencers can lose their "influence" over uneducated people because they're gonna be fewer and fewer of these people on the internet.
In the world of marketing they say good or bad publicity is better than no publicity at all, so I guess influencers still have a role to play in crypto education department afaik.

And overall, bitcoin education will decrease people's need for influencers simply because they will already have all the knowledge needed and all these Twitter posts about "PUMP IS COMING" will sound pretty stupid.
So what do you think?
Will we finally see the fall of influencers or there still will be enough stupid people to follow their advice?
Agreed, for now they have their shine to prey on the lazy/illiterate but with more education  and the alike there will be nothing  to feed on and they will have to move on..

Many influencers have suffered huge losses in undergoing investment and for me this is reasonable because it is involved in investment that uses money, but following the influencer pattern in undergoing trading is a big mistake. Separate analysis is needed in undergoing investment and we must have awareness in learning basic things that are indispensable, so that it does not fully depend on the suggestions or strategies given by influencers.

Investment responsibility becomes an obligation for ourselves, bitcoin education and trading methods must be learned correctly, so that when something happens outside of expectations you will not experience panic. Many people make mistakes at the beginning and do not try to improve so in the end saying Bitcoin Scam and others, even though the pattern carried out by him is wrong.

I think that is true but the amount of newbies that is getting it will get slower, plus at least we get rid of old influencers and new ones take time to get the same influence so it gets better on that front as well. Between less newbies (because majority of the world already knows about it, not because we do not have too many people) and then old influencers going away (because they are proven to be shady and scammers who only promote for money) we end up with a lot less.

I agree that there is the cycle you talk about, but that cycle will get smaller and smaller over time. Maybe that won't happen in a single day, but it will happen over course of a long period of time and that will end up with a good result for people in 10-20 years.

I agree. We already see that even newbies are using different channels of information to learn about bitcoin. And it's also great to see influencers that delete their twitter accounts after all the BS they were saying turned out to be fake. Pomp is a great example. I don't know what's up with him now, but when FTX fell down he deleted everything crypto-related from his twitter profile.
