From personal experience, I've only witnessed 1 decentralized casino in my life, it was announced on this forum though I don't remember the name, it must still be there.

The reason for this is that it is expensive to play since every activity needs to be written and confirmed on the blockchain.  We all know every transaction on Blockchain specially the transfer of funds needs a transaction fee.  Imagine rolling 3k times and having to pay to the blockchain that many times.  It is kinda troublesome and expensive.  A player may not lose on the game but obviously, most of the player's profit will go to the transaction fee.

But, if I compare it to like the altcoin decentralization exchange maybe the difference is not far away. we can check the hash if the site is really Decentralized, if not, there is not time to linger there.

I think most gamblers are don't care with Web 3.0 or decentralization/privacy, that's why they don't mind to submit their KYC on the casino.

There are many cons of decentralized casinos:

What's important is if they focus on decentralization, they don't have to ask users for KYC because it will look like a centralized casino so it will be the same as any other casino. Maybe that's what casino owners should pay attention to who say that their casino is web3.0 based so they should avoid that.

I'm not a fan of these Web3 I've been into an investment site where I have to connect my wallet, just lucky that I got alerted that there is a bug on the platform, these Web.3 casinos are not well audited if you're not good at looking at code and the project is new there is high risk of losing your deposit and funds on your wallet.
For average players, they prefer centralized casinos because the concept is easy compared to Web3 where there is a risk of bugs and backdoors.

Yes it is true that web 3.0 casinos should really use a chain hosting system which makes everything more decentralized without being centralized with anything and only relying on hosting on a predetermined chain.

There are pros and cons for every casino whether it's decentralized or centralized, but what you described aren't really cons to be honest. Let me explain, even decentralized casinos can have promotions, rake backs, etc. But they will need to program them well so that they are allocated based on smart contracts.

About wallet connecting scams, I think that depends on one's self if how much they've researched about a platform that they are about to use, if they use it without any research, and lose their money, it's definitely their own fault.

Lastly, even if a casino is closed by the authorities, a gambler should have no problems since they don't have an account and they have their funds in their wallet.
