I am not a gambling addict but some friends are making me look like one because I gamble less and they gamble more, it all started when we got into an argument that investing in Bitcoin is not the same as gambling, my friends who are gamblers, not full-time but more of a gambler than I am, are claiming that there is no difference between investing and gambling, they said if all you doing is investing money on Bitcoin you are no different to those who are gambling in a casino.

Well you can definitely compare gambling in sports to trading ANYTHING. But weirdly in your text you are mixing investing and trading with charts. Maybe you consider low frequency trading as investing?
But anyway, both trading with technical analysis and betting in sports are based on probability. You factor in the facts on about teams and conditions, like with cryptos you factor in the fundamentals and market conditions. Yes but i think there are still some minor who can gamble even though they are not yet 18, they can only be caught if all of the gambling site will implement KYC, but then investment and gambling are almost the same but in trading you can still create DCA but i gambling you cannot do it. OP just need to limit himself and have some more discipline so that they can limit loses and can prevent addiction.

Maybe it's because they don't really understand the difference between gambling and bitcoin. They don't know that in gambling, losing is certain, whereas if someone loses in bitcoin while he is investing, he still has a chance to recover his losses and can even get a big profit. But that is as long as he doesn't sell his bitcoins when the price of bitcoin drops sharply like now.

Yep, this is a hugely important thing to highlight and is often completely neglected.
Every dollar you win has to come out of somebody else's pocket, and a lot of institutional investors/traders with 10+ years of experience and the best tools at their disposal are actively trying to take yours.

If there's one thing I try not to do is getting addicted to anything at all - good or bad...as that becomes a problem when it's not done frequently as  it used to. I agree with you that when a gambler doesn't have the right idea about investing in Bitcoin he puts the investment in the same category as gambling. That is, gambling and investing may seem the same to those gamblers. But in reality two different things. A gambler has to invest in a platform where he/she is exposed to huge profit or loss due to Bitcoin volatility. But if it is held then it can give big returns. But gambling does not expect anything like this. The main tool of gambling is luck. If the luck is good then you can win but there is no chance of getting any fixed money on the investment.
