Knowing your boundaries will save you from unnecessary troubles and headaches because you will know when to stop and when to continue gambling. I think difference of buying and selling at trading is completely better than gambling. There will always be one price which is called market price. You can directly calculate your profits and costs. In gambling its very hard to calculate house edge. You can only review your own data to see when to stop. So in summary I definitely support you as well. Discipline is a very good thing in every facet of life, but in addition, you should have a good plan when you are disciplined in gambling.
