Nah tsmc 3nm boring. I liked samsungs job what they did with rtx 3000 series.amazing cards like gtx1000 series.i wish nvidia gives this job to samsung again.dont care nanometers we care hashrate.
I want an nvidia graphics card with HBM3 memory Now a lot of coins for mining depend on the core of the video card and the memory does not greatly affect the hash rate, although Samsung has released an announcement about its new DDR7 memory. "boosted speed per pin of up to 32Gbps."https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5441685.msg62572939#msg62572939I want a coin that will do an ETH style gpu mining boom, then we talk about tech and hashrates again hehe

I was hopping and believed AMD in 2020-2021 they will do best mining cards but they did worst job in rx6000 series.efintity cache whats so ever.now all cards with big cache but tine bandwidth.128bit what a joke.lets increase more cache and reduce bandwidth to 32-64bit. HBM memory sounds great.i love them too.vegas are incredible cards even today monster cards that lives among us.

After the Ethereum changed the algorithm, the mining of video cards ended. Currently there are no coins for mining for any graphics card manufacturer with a good payback period. The best payback rates are around 3 years, but this is inaccurate.

Yeap i seen gddr7 news too from samsung. I hope this time memory chips will be metal on top for cooling. Otherwise it will be disaster.

Will we see this performance boost in benchmarks or in real games? If marketers reduce the memory bus of video cards, as happens with the 4 series of video cards, then only the most expensive video card will have maximum performance. And the graphics card manufacturer will need to address cooling issues.

ugh gddr7 with 32gts speed bandwith 1.5tb which is faster than radeon 7 hbm2, should be king for crypto mining which is released 1.5 year from now it might to late come to party 2025 which consider to risk for roi before another bubble-pop.

Only on the condition that Ethereum can be mined again on video cards Not all mining algorithms depend on the frequency of the video card memory. But the saddest thing is that for other coins on the ethash algorithm, there have been asics for a long time. Therefore, we are waiting for 5090 from Nvidia and are surprised at its cost, because AMD does not have equivalent models.

When is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 release date? The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 release date is expected to fall in 2025, but there’s no official word on a launch window yet. This would create a three-year gap between generations, making it the longest in the company’s history. https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/geforce-rtx-5000-release-date-price-specs-benchmarks

Does anyone know at what point Moore's law will come into effect and they won't be able to make the nM count smaller? So far smallest I have heard of is 2nM. Is that it for a while after they make 2nM?
I heard that it is impossible to make chips smaller than 5 nanometers for a long time. The hashrate and payback of the video card are important to us, as well as the consumption of electricity and temperatures, and technologies will constantly change for the better. There are limitations as the electrons can not pass through a space to small without bleeding power. Much like the amount of miles per gallon of gas for a car. We will never see a gasoline engine do 1000 miles a gallon. As for the smallest chip possible likely 2nm or 1nm is the end of shrinkage of chip size. https://journals.aps.org/pr/abstract/10.1103/PhysRev.14.20#:~:text=Using the best available values, same in the different elements. "the radius of the electron is estimated as about 2 × 10−10 cm." so the number is the same as 2nm which makes 2nm seem impossible. I figure people are clever and may be able to stretch a round electron into a flatter oval shape. Which would likely mean 2nm to 1nm could maybe work.

I heard that it is impossible to make chips smaller than 5 nanometers for a long time. It looks like it's now 0.34 nm. I don't know how it could get any smaller than one atom. https://spectrum.ieee.org/smallest-transistor-one-carbon-atom

NVIDIA is evaluating Samsung's new GDDR7 memory for use in the upcoming GeForce RTX 50 Series NVIDIA is already verifying GDDR7 for its next-gen products and with Samsung GDDR7 the GeForce RTX 5090 could feature 1.5TB/s of memory bandwidth! About a month ago, Samsung announced that it had completed development on the world's first GDDR7 ( Graphics Double Data Rate 7) DRAM for GPUs and that it would be putting the technology in the hands of key customers sometime this year for use in next-generation products.https://www.tweaktown.com/news/93079/nvidia-is-evaluating-samsungs-new-gddr7-memory-for-use-in-the-upcoming-geforce-rtx-50-series/index.html

Yeah sell at 100% over MSRP again, and non of the miner who will buy it in the bullrun will get back his money. You must stack now your cards and not in bullrun.

There has already been a lot of such news, but it all depends on the mining algorithm. You can find coins where the hashrate of the 4090 video card is almost 100% ahead of the hashrate of the 3090 video card, although on other coins the difference is 10-30%. Therefore, if they make a coin using a new algorithm, which will be perfectly optimized for the 5090 video card, then you can see a hashrate of more than 100% compared to the 4090 video card. example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5447543.msg62038432#msg62038432

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 to Feature GB20X GPUs According to a leaker known as “panzerlied,” NVIDIA’s next-generation GPU lineup will not include a successor to its AD104 GPU. Instead, there will be a new GPU designated as X05, a shift that aligns with the company’s market positioning strategy for the next generation of GPU series. However, specific details regarding the implications of this name change for consumers have not been provided. Another respected NVIDIA hardware leaker, kopite7kimi, confirmed the absence of the X04 part in the upcoming GPU lineup and shared a list of the upcoming NVIDIA GPUs. The list suggests that the next GPU lineup will also be part of the Blackwell GPU family and includes models such as GB202, GB203, GB205, GB206, and GB207.

GeForce RTX 5090 rumors take shape Assuming that other claims are also based on the RTX 4090 as a reference point, a 15% increase in frequency would translate to a 2.9 GHz boost clock, with actual workloads likely achieving clocks of 3.0 GHz or higher. Additionally, a 78% increase in cache suggests that the GB202 GPU would feature 128MB of L2 cache.
We are more than a year away from the potential launch of the next-gen GeForce series, however just for fun, if we were to extrapolate these specifications to a potential RTX 5090 GPU, it might look something like this:https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-5090-rumors-2-9-ghz-boost-clock-1-5-tb-s-bandwidth-and-128mb-of-l2-cache

Flagship GeForce RTX 5090 GPU 'GB202' to feature 192 SMs and 512-bit memory bus The upcoming GeForce RTX 5090 will use NVIDIA's upcoming 'Blackwell' GB202 GPU, and with new detailed emerging it's going to be a beast. Today, we've got some new info on NVIDIA's new 'Blackwell' GB202 GPU that will power the upcoming GeForce RTX 50 Series - and serve as the basis for the GeForce RTX 5090 much like the AD102 GPU served as the basis of the GeForce RTX 4090.
