But it was his parents who educated him from childhood so that he could live well so that they would not do things that might harm him. Though, one needs to be aware that during the first years of our existence we are pretty much dependent on the choices our parents take for us and the way they guide us. During that period of time there is little to nothing we can do about improving our future if our parents are disfuncional and do not even give us the tools and education to fulfill a better destiny, even as we become adults.

That was not the case of this young man, though, and that only makes all this situation more tragic, because he seemed to be in the right path to graduade and eventually become a good member of society, which leads me to think he lacked emotional intelligence to realize that ending ones life over gambling losses was not and won't ever be worth it.

He could have got his money back eventually through honest work.
It was a permanent decision because a temporary problem.
