Of the 5 representatives of Spanish teams, only Sevilla failed to advance to the next stage in the Champions League. And the remaining 4 teams from Laliga managed to top each group in yesterday's group stage.

This makes Laliga the most productive league in producing quality clubs this season that are able to continue to go further in the Champions League. I think this is a very extraordinary achievement from Spanish clubs. But a more difficult journey awaits them. Because the most difficult match will be in the round of 16.

In my personal opinion, the Spanish league ranks just behind the English Premier League. This year, with the dip in form for Manchester United and the lack of experience on the big stage for Newcastle after many years, the Premier League is left with only two representatives, giving the opportunity for Spanish teams to dominate. Apart from the usual names in the UCL like Real, Barca, and Atletico, I was pleasantly surprised by Real Sociedad, topping Group D with an unbeaten record. The probability of a Spanish team winning the UCL this year is quite high.

And actually, if Newcastle can be in another group other than Group F, I think this team will really be able to qualify for the next stage. Because in Group F, even PSG couldn't beat Newcastle. Unfortunately Newcastle is unlucky because they are in Group F which is the hell group in the UCL this season.

And about Real Sociedad I was equally surprised. Because they were even able to hold Inter Milan to a draw in two meetings in the group stage. So I'm starting to think that the round of 16 could actually be tougher than we expected.

Yes, Real Sociedad this season is quite surprising, not only in the UCL but in the domestic league they also have quite impressive performance, this is the improvement in performance this season from the Real Sociedad team which makes them as strong as they are now.
In the round of 16, Real Sociedad will face PSG and Real Sociedad has the possibility of getting rid of PSG, I think.

And for Manchester United I think they deserved not to qualify, this team has had a very bad performance this season.

Representatives from the Spanish League are still quite dominant in the Champions League this season and they managed to send three teams into the round of 16, Real Sociedad will face PSG, Atletico Madrid will face Inter Milan and Real Madrid will face Leipzig. The composition of the matches in the round of 16 gives a little insight into Real Madrid and Manchester City and I think both of them will have a much greater chance of qualifying for the next round. But the most interesting match is between Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid because this match will be much more tense because both of them have the ambition to beat each other to qualify for the next round.

This match looks the most interesting so far because it is difficult to decide the winner, but this match could be very boring when Atlético chooses to play defensively and we see only a few goals, or even a boring 0-0. The first matches will show where there will be competition and possible intrigue, so it is still very early to talk about where the most interesting match may be. Perhaps Sociedad will also be able to provide decent resistance to PSG, since the Parisians are now not as strong as they were in previous years.

Porto does come from a competition that is not very good in terms of popularity in domestic competitions but in terms of experience and ability Porto is also not much different from Arsenal at this time so this could be something that could be a little difficult for Arsenal.

It will be a very tough day for the Gunners because at almost the same time they also have to collect full points to maintain their top position in the domestic league and it feels like it will not be easy for them to get through. Maybe from now on Mikel Arteta still has enough time to develop his players so they can maintain their current performance. Real Madrid this season seem to be putting more effort in the UCL and I see them as potential winners because their performance so far in the champions league is such that they have been able to put up very brilliant performance all through the group stage which seemed much easier than the UCL round of sixteen and in the draws they will be facing Leipzig.

Bellingham's injury bis no doubts definitely going to have some effect on real Madrid performance but then I think it will be very obvious in their la Liga performance than their UCL performance because in the UCL they seem to put in more focus regardless they are still at the top in la Liga tho. Manchester city current draw down is such that Madrid can possibly take advantage of to further make their chances of winning the UCL although Manchester city will wan to defend the title as the most recent champions

Let's wait for the first leg to begin first. We can speculate if arsenal will be winning the game caused by it looked like superior in UCL but i remind you that arsenal was passing the group stage caused by it was getting easy group. Im feeling confidence with it caused by arsenal will not be trying to make it happen. Statistically, arsenal becomes favorite in this match caused by the club was performing so well but we can't really sure if arsenal will able to show the same performance like the previous match.

That's also my main reason to call that if arsenal was not having guarantee if the club will be playing so well in the upcoming match. I would not feel so optimistic about it. Arsenal can also lose anytime.
Porto may give us another surprise, like when it was competing with barcelona in the group stage. Porto was strong enough even barcelona was struggling against it. AFAIK barcelona has become a very good rival for barcelona.
Barcelona has had a strong record of winning against Arsenal in the past. I think that porto can become very big obstacles for arsenal soon. I would rather than pick btts for the first leg.

Vini and Rodrygo performed well in Bellingham's absence. This is why Real Madrid managed to win even without Bellingham in the squad. Many things happened to Real Madrid and it has nothing to do with focus. They were less active and doesn't have much men on ground. Benzema wear off after winning his Ballon D'or and was having multiple injuries, Vinicious was busy playing victim of racism, I know it hurts with the rate of racism is Spain but he should learn to prioritize the club instead of having to fight every day and fight other teams for not discipline their own, you can only warn a grown up person but you can't beat them for their actions and if it was ban, how many are they going to ban? He should have learn to use his goal to pain their faces instead.

They were also having so much out of form, today they are doing fine and the next day, they are playing what I don't understand. There was a time they were absolutely playing rubbish most especially with teams below 10th place in the table and Barcelona took their chances and pass them with points and become number one spot. All efforts for Real Madrid to get  above Barcelona was hard and  they gave up without Champions League and Laliga but I hope the emergence of Bellingham bring them good luck this time.

Considering that Arsenal should be able to get past them easily. Maybe Porto can defend them stronger home and they might get a draw as well. But at Emirates I would just expect Arsenal to destroy them by a gap of a few goals.  

I dont think it will be an easy game. Although Porto may not be as well-known or flashy as some other teams, their toughness and experience should not be forgotten. After a break, Arsenal recently returned to the Champions League, which makes things more uncertain. High-stakes games like this benefit a lot from having experienced players, which Porto could use to their advantage even though they are the favorites.

Obviously, Arsenal is better, especially at the Emirates, but Porto could still pull off an upset. Not to mention that they've been good enough in the UCL to compete with teams like Barcelona, even scoring the same number of points. This game requires Arsenal to be very alert; if they get too confident, they could find themselves in a tough spot.
