Erik Ten Hag's team are bottom of Group A with 3 points, but they are only one point behind second-placed Copenhagen with two matches remaining. Man Utd will visit Galatasaray in the penultimate match before hosting Bayern Munich at Old Trafford. Coach Ten Hag and his team need to win both remaining games. Even if they win both of these matches, coach Erik ten Hag and his team are still not sure of continuing. The only thing I can see there that could mess this up would be Galatasaray or Copenhagen winning their game against each other.

Barcelona are in a transition period, they lost great players down the years and they ran into financial crisis, so the club is still struggling to get back to their best. Xavi was appointed to get the job done, and his performances have been so-so, he won the league last season, but Barca were eliminated from the CL group stage. This season they are not really struggling in the CL, they have won three games out of four in the group stage, and they are top of group H. Barcelona would definitely qualify for the RO16, but they cannot win the CL yet and i'm pretty sure it is not part of their goal, but they do have a chance to win the LaLiga back to back.

I always thought that they will not experience difficulties in this qualification, but Galatasaray and Copenhagen have more points so far.

You should really know the reasons why Manchester United lost 3 times in 4 group stage matches so far if you watched the matches. Manchester United's performance was disrupted by several problems, especially player injuries and poor defense.

Manchester United have clearly established themselves as the third worst team in defense in 4 games so far apart from Antwerp [14], Celtic [12], and Young Boys [11]. So clearly you have to realize what Manchester United's weaknesses are this season, while their striker performance is also not good. Ten Hag is responsible for the team's poor performance, but he is still confident of improving as long as management still entrusts him as coach.

Going away to win Galatasaray will be very difficult especially when they couldn’t win them at Old Trafford but if they eventually win there will be a little hope for them to qualify if Bayern wins Copenhagen but Manchester United don’t seem like a team that can win because they have series of injured players and are not quite settled with their playing style.

It is pretty tight 2nd spot and all three teams will put in their best to secure the spot and progress to the next round. United caused all this for themselve because they started poorly losing and dropping silly points.

Manchester United obviously still has a chance. But they will have to pray that the other two teams which are not playing well, also, keep losing. At the same time, Manchester United will have to win matches consistently. Which is actually the bigger question because I don't think Manchester United is going to win matches consistently at this moment. They have been very inconsistent you know, almost all the competitions. So if they do not improve their performance, I don't think people should be surprised if Manchester United actually cannot qualify for the next stage of the Champions League competition.

When it comes to Barcelona's condition in the competition so far I can say that they are doing well. But I must admit that it was too much to lose to Shakhtar away there. Of course Ukraine teams can play different when it comes to home matches. But I remember how they lost to Porto home at the same time (1-3).

I don’t think Barcelona will fail to make it out of the group even when their performance is not too good at the moment. There are somethings that a club necessitates more than others, La Liga is still a long time league to go from now and in Champions league they can be eliminated from the competition at any stage. I know Xavi will try to improve the team in all aspects but will give consideration on the team qualifying from the group stage than he will give now to the La Liga which I think they’re not also in a bad position now.

Barcelona has been qualiofying for the last 16. Barcelona was lucky enough to be placed in the easiest group this season. The chance for barcelona to go to the lasg 16 is 100%. You will see barcelona play in next stage but barcelona potentially to face a strong club in the future.
Xavi was always having problem with the striker of barcelona since lewandowski is the only striker in the club. When this guy gets injured and barcelona finished in UCL. The upcoming stage will be a challenge for barcelona.

You can imagine when barcelona is going to face a strong club. This is going to be another hype for the club. I would like to see barcelona to have match against bayern. It's possible to happen.

Yes, you've just written the criteria by which a team can be judged. Bad defence and bad offence. Add to that poor management of the coach. And these are the main reasons why Manchester United are failing. Although they have some good players. But fate has it that they are now even worse than Copenhagen.

When it comes to Barcelona topic I think it would still be improvement even if they get eliminated right after reaching the 1/8-finals stage. Because I mean they have been unable to even get past the group stage for the last 2 seasons. The fans and the board must be waiting for the team to do better than that finally in this season. Barcelona are very close to guaranteeing their slot for 1/8-finals now already. They had better finish as the leader to go beyond the expectations as much as possible.

For me I just think his player are not all that familiar with the atmosphere of the champions league although there are some elite members in his squad but lots of them are just newbie or amateur in playing there and for me experience really matter alot. Barcelona like you said are doing exceedingly well in the Spanish la Liga but the formula doesn't seem to be adding up but Xavi is more than capable to do some to this squad because after this stage it's even going to get harder because of the remaining teams are going to be really hard to play .

That's right, they are the worst so far in group A with 1 win and 3 losses. Real Madrid had some failures as well. They tied their home game against Rayo Vallecano, they also tied their game against a weak Sevilla team that couldn't win a game in ages and they lost the game against Atletico Madrid, which is not a big deal but still. I still see the opportunity for Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern Munich and AC Milan as strong candidates as teams that will qualify for the semifinals and I want to see Real Madrid who will face Bayern Munich in the final. Hopefully these four teams will not meet each other in the knock-out so that the semifinals and finals will be more competitive and exciting. Not sure Barcelona can win La Liga in a row because anyway, at this moment Barcelona is also in third place under Girona and Real Madrid. I am not sure if Dortmund will qualify for the knockout round. Despite being at the top of the group, this team's performance has been erratic. Borrussia Dortmund would remain a dump club for me, they can't even win a game to decide them league winners, so I can't give that same trust to them in the Champions League.
They've done massively so far, but even if they should qualify outta that group, they're going nowhere honestly. Last time I watched a good game from Borrussia Dortmund was the night Robert Lewandoski scored four goals against Real Madrid ( With Jurgen Klopp as head coach of Borrussia Dortmund )

Well, if we talk about the candidate's favorite team in this competition. there are only two for me, City is the main one. If you learned what's happening in Barcelona, they have a problem in their front line players. Their attackers played underperformance, they are not quite productive in scoring. In the last season, Lewandowski can be an effective machine goal for Barcelona. But this season, his goal productivity is decreasing a lot because he often gets injured. The injury problem ruins his performance, meanwhile other Barcelona strikers can't replace Lewandowski's role as a machine goal.

I think their performance in UCL is quite satisfied. They are leading group H, they won 3 matches and only 1 lose. I'm sure Barcelona is quite safe to qualify for the next round. I even think that their performance in La Liga is worse than in UCL.

Xavi must know how to solve it. He is a nice coach and he was an experienced player that often won the UCL competition. And if we look at Barcelona current position, no doubt that Barcelona will be in the next round.

Yes they say when you reach your peak and achieve some level of greatness, your thirst and hunger for win will reduce drastically and we can see that in Manchester City style of play, though we could also see the cause as injury on their pivot KDB and red card on Rodri, however the team still got the urge and zeal for success this season and I won't be suprised if they win the league again.

 With the team returning from injuries I think, they’ll become that unbeaten team everyone’s scared to play, these 4 teams are pretty cool but I think Bayern might not get into the semis except they work on being clinical and being tactical in style of play, but I see Real Madrid going quite far in this year’s UCL and probably taking the trophy back to Spain.

Since they suffered a shock defeat to Shakhtar in the last match, they reduced their chances of leaving the group. Of course, they will get out of the group when they win both matches, but it is still doubtful how well these matches will be played. I really admire the work Real Sociedad have done in Group D so far by the way. They have collected 10 points and they are the leading team as well in a group with teams like Inter and Benfica. I wasn't expecting Benfica to be this terrible of course before the group stage started. They just can't perform the same as they do in their domestic league. 

This has created an opportunity for Salzburg to move them out of their way to make it to the Europa League as well but let's see. There are still two more games for Benfica which can be seen as an opportunity to make it to the Europa League instead at least. But I can't trust them even as much as I do for Salzburg.

Real sociedad is one among Spanish teams that are doing well in their group in the champions league, Real Sociedad hasn't lost a match in their group so far and they're in same points with Inter Milan but Real sociedad is leading the group by goal difference. The both clubs have qualified for the round of 16 as the other teams in their group wouldn't make it even if they win the rest of the match in the group.

Real Sociedad performance has been impressive as for them to top their group when there are more experienced club like Benfica and Inter Milan that has more appearance in the champions league than Real sociedad, I think their impressive form in the Champions league to far deserves an accolade.
