PSG was just lucky, nothing more. A loss at home to a mid-tier team would've been devastating. Judging from this performance today from PSG, I'm not sure they'd go very far in the tournament.

The goal had to just go in be it a penalty goal or an own goal PSG just needed to score a goal because they dominated the game and created couple of chances plus it will be a slap on the face of PSG that they lost home and away to a mid-tier team that just got a champions league appearance after so many years and most of the players got their first champions league appearance for the first time this season. We all aware that Newcastle is a team that is good at playing stronger opponents so i never expected less from them, just this season they have won Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG and Arsenal all this season though they lost to Manchester City in the premier league but eliminated them in the EFL cup.

The match ended, and Manchester City won the match. Leipzig scored two goals in the first half of the match. I was thinking the match would be kind of difficult to win for Manchester City, but to my greatest surprise, Manchester City was able to score three goals in the second half of the match, which gave them victory in the match. Manchester City won all five matches that they have played, that's really a good one for them, but I will say that Manchester City is not really in a difficult group, most of the clubs that are in the group are not really strong clubs. That's why it's kind of easy for Manchester City.

I had believe that Manchester City will win the match but I won’t lie i got scared when Leipzig went 2 goals up till the end of the first half, I thought they have lost the match and i had given up on my bet because they are the only team i was waiting for. When i saw them score early in the second half i just knew there is still hope to get a second goal but my prayer was to score a second goal before 80 minutes which they did.

They were lucky to be in an easy group so there was really no much challenge for them but let’s see how good they are in the next round of the competition.

I think Dortmund and PSG will qualify for the next round. Dortmund have already qualified for the knockout rounds. And their next match is against PSG. This match is not very important for Dortmund.

Dortmund already completed a first task to join the round of 16 but they have a second task. If possible, they will want to secure their first position because it will help them to avoid strongest opponents in a next round. To achieve it, they must have at least a draw with PSG in the last match. Dortmund still have their own target for that match and PSG will have to play with their best to beat Dortmund.

PSG also played well against Dortmund in the 1st leg and won 2-0. Even if PSG can draw against Dortmund, they will be able to finish second in the table. It is difficult to predict which team will win the Milan vs Newcastle match. Newcastle are in good form, while the Milan team is quite experienced. However, all three teams still have a chance to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Football is not math and Dortmund can give a hand to eliminate PSG from Champions League. PSG really want to beat Dortmund because if they only have a draw, they can be out of Champions League if a match between AC Milan and Newcastle United have a winner. I rooted for Newcastle yesterday to beat PSG. They were on the way to securing the 3 points which would have put qualification to the knockout stage into their own hands until when PSG had a penalty. The draw means it will be PSG who progress if they better Newcastle’s result in the final Group game.
I think for Newcastle to qualify, they will have to rely on Dortmund vs PSG result. If PSG draw or lose then Newcastle will qualify because I’m sure they will beat AC Milan at St. James park.

They should have buried the game against PSG yesterday. They played the whole second half defending the goal they scored in the first half. Even with the 8 minutes additional time, they still didn’t plan to launch an attack and they were punished for that. Dortmund has qualified and they’re playing against a PSG side that will do everything to make the next round. I am hoping they don’t relent against PSG knowing that a lose or draw won’t affect them as they have qualified already.

Knowing the kind of team Dortmund is, they might get trashed very easily by PSG. Dortmund s a very inconsistent team, they can't win when you expect them to win especially if it's a tough match with high intensity.
They had the opportunity to win their last match of the season last season and win the league in front of their fans but they couldn't win and allowed the league slip to Bayern Munich. It's how Dortmund is. It would be fun to see PSG in the Europa league but Dortmund won't let that happen I'm afraid. PSG may not have played convincingly all season long, but watch how they'll snatch all 3 points from Dortmund.

Newcastle can also win AC Milan. Ac Milan is also not consistent this season. If Newcastle plays well they'll be able to win and hope that PSG loses so they can have an opportunity in the round 16. It's going to be an interesting match week.

Real Madrid vs Napoli today in Group C. Overall, this match seems to have reason to fight for the win. Real Madrid will be looking to secure top spot in the group, while Napoli will be looking to secure their place in the next round. They need just one point to overtake Real Madrid at the top of the Champions League. Napoli's place in the next round of the Champions League is far from secure, although Braga are four points behind third place. Real Madrid already have the advantage of beating Napoli in their first meeting and have been in good scoring form recently. Both teams have chances to score, I think Real can beat Napoli 2-1.

I think, Bayern Munich stand on a solid ground to maintain the top to lead in this group A, because they are capable to achieve victory from FC Copenhagen in this match to make their fans believe that they have what it takes to be among the teams that will qualify for this champions league competition. Manchester united results are very poor in this group A, which it will make them not to be among the teams that will qualify from this group A, because their position is very low. Galatasaray will use this Manchester united result in this group A, to fight them, and they will embrace victory at the end of the match.

As much as I admire Newcastle as a team yesterday in the second half it was God who saved them as those many opportunities for PSG especially with Barcola who had only him about 5-6 goal chances,real goal chances missed and the goalkeeper of Newcastle denied them sure goals yesterday,PSG completely dominated the game and it was only super extreme bad luck that made them not win the game yesterday night.

They still have a chance though in the last game and they need to rely also on the other game based on which result they would get.

There is a big chance for Newcastle United or Ac Milan to qualify for the last 16 of the Uefa Champions League because Paris Saint-German will find it difficult to beat Borussia Dortmund at home, the highest result PSG can get from Borussia Dortmund is a draw match. Newcastle United stands a better chance of reaching the last Uefa Champions League because they had a better head-to-head against PSG, Newcastle United needs to win against AC Milan, while Borussia Dortmund and PSG should end in a draw match.

Am not confident of Newcastle United to qualify for the round 16 but rather prepare for Europa, and again they have to be careful if not they may not qualify to Europa because the are in the same point with AC Milan the only difference is goals.

The group F of the UEFA Champions League competition is absolutely living up to the media hypes it got before the kickoff of this season's campaign because after five matches has been played, just one team which is Borussia Dortmund has progressed to the knockout stages while there's still possible chances that any of the other three teams can join Dortmund. Newcastle last night was denied a crucial win by Kylian Mbappe's stoppage time penalty which was one of the biggest talking points of yesterday's match but regardless of the result, the Magpies can still reach the round of 16 if they beat AC Milan at home in their last game of the group stage while Borussia Dortmund gets at least a draw against Paris Saint Germaine.

After AC Milan defeated PSG before the FIFA international break, I was thinking they were gonna get a result against Borussia Dortmund yesterday since they would be playing at home but to my surprise, the German club defeated the San Siro club to claim all three points from the game to become the first team in the group to reach the knockout stages.

The last minute goal was very good for PSG. It increased their chances of qualifying for the next round, if they had lost they would probably have been eliminated.

Napoli can experience some increase in adrenaline in their group after the games this week. Because it is really difficult for them to get points from Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu. I'm saying this even though Real Madrid have nearly guaranteed their lead mathematically. I don't expect Ancelotti to care less about this game in the end.

If Real Madrid win and Braga also do the same against Union Berlin then the point difference between Napoli and Braga will be only 1. Napoli's last game of the group is against Braga at the same time.

Napoli only faced quite difficult resistance in the group against Real Madrid, but otherwise they coped well even though they drew with Union Berlin. The remaining two matches are against Real Madrid and Braga so Napoli only need three more points to qualify for the next round as runners-up because chasing Real Madrid's points they will definitely not be able to do it again. But I would like to see Napoli give Real Madrid a fight so that the match will be much more tense.

Braga will face Union Berlin and I think the chances for Union Berlin to win the match will be much greater because they definitely want to lock in a ticket to the Europa League. So I'm still quite optimistic that Napoli will qualify for the next round and Union Berlin will play in the Europa League if that scenario goes well.

I can't be that positive about Union Berlin honestly. They had a really horrible run with Urs Fischer firstly. It has been a short time since they finally replaced their manager. But they couldn't win their first game with their new manager against Augsburg home either. I don't know how motivated they could be against a team that are in better condition tonight.

As I said in my previous post Braga also have a lot of motivation about qualifying for last 16. They already beat Union Berlin once by 3-2 away too as you know.

I don't know if you watched but Braga played really well against Real Madrid and Napoli in home games despite losing both of them. Because of this I'm favouring Braga's side to win.

It happened exactly as I thought and said yesterday. PSG failed to come back after conceding the first goal. Newcastle United played in such a way that they pulled the bus in front of the defense. They applied the old Mourinho tactics. And they were successful in this until the last minutes. However, they left 2 points on the field with the goal in extra time. PSG missed too many goal chances. Barcola in particular spent the opportunities he had generously. No matter what Mbappe did, it didn't work. With the last-minute penalty goal, PSG escaped the cliff at the last moment. They had to win this match, but with Dortmund winning the match, they maintained their 2nd place. Everything will be determined for them in the last week's matches in the group. It means they might not lose or draw any games in the entire group! And get this  they only have one more game to play. So, if they keep playing this awesome, they could finish the group stage without losing or tying any game. How amazing is that? Go, Manchester City

Visiting the Parc des Princes does not necessarily mean that Newcastle will lose. PSG benefits from playing at home. This match is also very important for Newcastle even though PSG are desperate to secure a place to qualify. If PSG have the ambition to avenge their first round defeat against Newcastle at St.James' Park, I'm afraid they won't be able to do it. For me, PSG just needs to play relaxed and take advantage of the existing situation.

The competition in Group F is very tight. Before the round 5 matches are finished, it is not certain who will qualify because all four teams still have hopes of qualifying.
PSG has the advantage of playing at the Parc des Princes, but Newcastle faces this match also at an advantage. Their advantage is that not many main players are injured. Luis Enrique must not think that PSG will win easily.

Newcastle will be playing PSG tonight away from home. Although in their first leg, they seemed to be the stronger team and it's likely that the second leg today will have the same remark, they're not feeling overshadowed by the home advantage PSG may have. The striker Isak is likely to be back in the team and I can vouch that the team is much more confident in themselves than they've ever been and they still stand a chance.

Of course, Bayern Munich is not going to miss the chance to make sure that they win this match. This is definitely going to be an easy match for Bayern Munich to win. The way Byron Munich has been playing in recent times, I really do not think that there is any chance for Copenhagen to beat Bayern Munich.  I will actually be surprised if this ends up being a draw, to be honest.
