A very interesting game going on in the group F in the champions League, from the current result now, Newcastle United's hope lies in their own hands so they have the right to decide if they are going to progress to next round or not.  Big things they say come in small boxes and the game between Newcastle and AC Milan just underscored that saying. Now I'm not saying AC Milan are a small club but you will agree with me that in the game, they were the lesser side, playing as if this was their first time of playing in the champions league, making careless mistakes and dulling the game whereas Newcastle united were like the bulldogs, barking and poaching and calling the shots.  The Newcastle fans were all but singing the praises of their team as they felt they've made it past the group stage but second half came and we saw them making mistakes. Many will say they became agitated over the fact that PSG had gone level with Dortmund but for me I'd say they just let nerves get the best of them. Well, what do you expect from a team who haven't being in any champions league action since the 2002/03 season? I'm still wondering how they let themselves get so distracted that a team who were a goal down came from beneath to win. At least what other coaches couldn't do by taking them to champions league, Eddie Howe did it and even though they weren't successful, at least it counts for something.

But still PSG can finish the group in 2nd place despite having the same points with Milan in the live standings. PSG must be really grateful for that equalizer now. Newcastle gave it their best but i guess it was not enough to be able to progress to the next round and it proves that they inexperienced in the league. They did their best and it will be difficult to notice they are first timers. I was more surprised to see them perform in the hottest group in the competition and until the final minutes it was difficult to predict the team that will progress to the next round along side Borrussia Dortmund.

I thought at first that PSG was going to top the group but they failed to perform to expectation, they were even lucky to have qualified to the knockout stage and the equalizer just saved the day for them. I am trying to picture how PSG would feature in the Europa league if they had lost the match.

Newcastle has had a lot of injuries this season, yet they got a victory against Chelsea and are still fighting for the next round of the champions league. I think the Newcastle is a good side, they don’t have the biggest of names but they are having the results. Hopefully they can increase their squad depth in the January. Money has come into Newcastle and the club has since changed for the better. I like how Eddie Howe is signing players. They are spending money wisely, only buying players they need in certain key areas, they are not in a rush to sign big names. Chelsea spent millions on young lads but nothing has improved in the club. I will like to see Newcastle win Milan tonight.

I wonder how you analyzed this in a very shallow way. That is not a good way to analyze a match of this nature. In your analysis you failed to report the current situation of Newcastle which is why they lost consecutively in the English premier leagues, first flto Everton and later to Totenham with high goal margin. You should have considered that those consecutive losses in the English premier League will orchestrate their poor performance on the English premier League.

It's a shame that two English teams are exited from the group stage. I remember when top 4 used to be all England clubs.

All matches in the UCL group stage this season have ended. And indeed, the most interesting thing of all is the competition in Group F where the result is really decided in this last match. I didn't expect AC Milan to win the game against Newcastle because, in today's match, I felt they didn't perform as well as Newcastle. When I commented on one post at their first half, I even said that Newcastle might be the likely team to win, or possibly they could draw, but I wasn't expecting AC Milan to emerge victorious. The reason for my skepticism was that Newcastle seemed to be in control of the pitch, dictating the flow of the game. What surprised me was that despite Newcastle having about six opportunities to score, they only managed to utilize one and scored a single goal.On the other hand, AC Milan, with only two shot attempts, managed to make use of both opportunities, scoring two goals and ultimately winning the game. It goes to show that sometimes, even with fewer chances, effective use can lead to success.

There is nothing left to regret in Barca since they have already qualify in group H whether they won or not. But on the other hand it is a shame because they have lost 3 - 2 911to the worst team in their group during the UCL group stage finale because of their poor performance in the game.

Group F will is always interesting. However, we already know which teams that qualify for the next round. AC Milan could beat Newcastle, meanwhile the match Dortmund vs PSG ends up with a draw. So, Dortmund and PSG qualify for the knock-out phase.

AC Milan were unlucky in today's match because they were able to win their last match but they lost in goal productivity so Psg qualified for the round of 16. However, AC Milan success in achieving victory in today's match made them join the European League. The competition is quite fierce in Group F where from the start it is difficult to predict who will qualify, but we have seen today that Dortmund and PSG are the strongest in Group F and they deserve to get all this after working hard in every match.

I love the outcome of the game tonight and PSG did what I expected of them because it wouldn't have make sense had Paris St. German crash out of the champion this early. PSG did what they needed to do best, if not the game is not going to be in their favor if they didn’t play with caution. It was wise of them to maintain the score line to a same level score, if they had went for direct win, it would have not come this easy even though this was not an easy match for them to come through also. We have seen the determination in Borussia Dortmund in this season’s champions league, what is now required is consistency and top form to match the competition ahead for them. One can’t tell how far they can go, but the matches ahead won’t be that soft as the ones already played now. We will be looking forward to the next round draws that will decide the fate of the next teams to be eliminated from the competition.

Unbelievable! How did Newcastle let Milan make a comeback like that? I know Milan are much more experienced team of course but still I wouldn't expect Newcastle hand that over easily. Their end shouldn't have been to end the group at the last position.    Milan could have left PSG behind if they were better in head-to-head games against them.

PSG had better consider themselves very lucky. Because if Newcastle won PSG were out. Or if Dortmund were able to keep their score advantage the result was going to be the same again. We don't have last 16 draw yet maybe but I'm still not much expectant from PSG.

Imo, The Europa league might be a blessing in disguise for Milan — they still have European football to look forward unlike Newcastle that was completely eliminated from European football and with Newcastle's recent results in the UCL, we can't say for sure that they'd be able to earn an Europa league spot at the very least when the season comes to an end. For the Scudetto, there's Juventus and Milan. So yes, it's a win-win situation for Milan.

This group is really tough, I can see the two lucky clubs who advanced from the group stage. Dortmund tried to make sure PSG was eliminated from the Champions League after they scored in the 51 minutes of play. I thought that was it, but Warren Zaire-emery made a fantastic comeback in the last 56 minutes to equalized and draw the game, I think PSG will miss him when he gets injury. PSG finishes in second place to advance to the round of 16. Dortmund was also lucky to defeat Newcastle both at home and away, they shouldn't have qualified at this point. Another England club, Newcastle, has been eliminated from the UCL after Manchester united failing to qualified from the group stage.

The injuries to Newcastle's players are having an impact on them. I didn't think Milan will even qualify to the Europa League at all, they've been playing the worst in the group stage, which is why football is unpredictable.
