It has been a disappointing Champions League season for Newcastle United. If I remember correctly, they collected 4 points in their first two games and in one of them they scored 4 goals against PSG. I thought they would qualify for the next round and I'm sure most Newcastle United fans thought so too. However, at the end of the day they finished last in the group. We can say that they are inexperienced in the Champions League compared to their rivals. I'm sure they will be more careful when they come back here in a few seasons. Maybe they can also come here with a better squad.

Newcastle defeat to Milan which meant they failed to survive in European competition left a number of jobs that had to be addressed within the team. Newcastle may still be able to compete in the top four of the EPL, but they will have difficulty in the UCL with a modest squad. This failure must be immediately evaluated to improve the quality of the team, bringing in top players is the solution so that Newcastle is able to provide competition on the European stage. Newcastle which has no experience in the UCL, needs to bring in experienced players with a winning mentality so they can compete with other strong teams.

Newcastle experienced quite a decline in several matches not only in the Champions League but also in local competitions, they looked very weak because in two matches in the English Premier League, they conceded 7 goals while only being able to score 1 goal, this already shows that there is a problem in their game so it is quite reasonable when they lost to AC Milan, even though Milan knew their chances were very slim to qualify for the group phase because winning alone was not enough because a goal deficit would make them lose to PSG who only needed a draw to qualify but a win at least gave AC Milan a chance to competing in the European league, AC Milan's experience managed to get them third place in Group F but Newcastle doesn't seem ready to compete in the European tournament because they seem to be struggling this season which also affects their ranking in the EPL.
And as a team that is quite surprised at being able to play in the Champions League, Newcastle's out is not surprising because this was predicted from the start of the season, although the first two matches succeeded in reducing doubt about them, the remaining matches proved that they were not strong enough to compete here, at least for this season.

Another great news is that Sevilla is out, and I do not mean europa out, I mean out out, like fourth place out. Why is that great? I am not one to hate Sevilla, they are a cute team and they keep winning europa so they are a successful team as well, but at the same time I am sick and tired of them winning it, I like to see other teams try. Surely we all are aware that Liverpool is miles better, but for some reason, Sevilla manages to beat whoever they face, doesn't matter how big or small, not every year of course but they are always a danger. With them out, that means other teams could try to beat each other fair and square and it wouldn't be a boring season of Sevilla just getting another one.

I think it was expected that Sevilla would finish last in the group. Since they won the European league last year, they took part in the UCL this year. However, I predicted that they would not be successful. A team with a high average age. Even though the players are experienced, teams with a higher average age can no longer compete in the fast game. They can focus on their La Liga performance from now on.

There are too many problems that happened in sevilla. The club takes much longer to adapt with the current situation. Somethings that have been contributing a lot to the bad performance of sevilla this season is

2. There were many important players left
3. Bad managements.

These things have been strongly affecting the performance of sevilla at this moment. Sevilla played so badly and it's not surprising me to see that sevilla has encounter the problem. I hope that sevilla will able to play even better than before.
Sevilla's debt has been ruining the performance from the club. I remember when sevilla put all of players for sale to be used to pay the debt.

This is also giving very big impact to the performance from sevilla caused by it was losing a lot of important players right now. No doub that if sevila is struggle in winning anything.
Sevilla was not as good as last season caused by that factors. It takes some times for sevilla to sort all of those problems out from the club.

It was one of these counterattacks that produced the second goal by Samuel Chukwueze. We expected much from the English side in King James Park but it's unfortunate that they lost the game and are now out of European competitions. I wouldn't also blame the club too much because some important players are injured, stars like Harvey Barnes, Jacob Murphy and Elliot Anderson were all out of the game.

I saw the game Newcastle played and lost in the EPL and I was like, ok they have a good reason for losing that game but this game against Ac Milan was so annoying to see the home side getting that goal that should have been the only lifeline they had but they couldn't defend to the last. To me I prefer the Newcastle of last season to this one we're seeing now, these set of players are not really up to the task and I don't see them coming back to compete in the UCL next season, this is the end of Newcastle playing the champions league.

In fact, Pep did not play his starting eleven in this match. We can see that Pep rotated several of his players even though Jack Grealish was still played as a starter. with the scenario, Grealish will be more reliable and at the same time become a mentor to the young players who Pep has made the main starter. Oscar Bobb is played as a center forward, he is a young City player. Likewise with Micah Hamilton, a young player who is 20 years old. So, only established players remain in the defense line. but not with Rico Lewis, Pep often rotates this young player according to his wishes. which means, Pep doesn't care about the match and I agree with you. Pep prefers to reserve several of his core players to save energy.
Uniquely, this match became even more exciting because many goals were scored. and as you say, there are more interesting matches that the Champions League has to offer in the matches after this. especially, for the group E phase match which will present an exciting battle. there are no other words, other than we wait and watch.

It's not very much interested or worried about this match. But even after that, Manchester City was able to win this match without too many problems. Well, actually they did have some problems, to be honest. But in the 80th minute, the score was 3- 1 in favor of Manchester City. And even after in the 81st minute, Manchester City actually ended up conceding, I did not think Manchester City was actually going to lose this match. They had good control over things. Did it look like this match might end in a draw at certain points? Yes of course. But as I said they still were not very much worried about this.

Newcastle would have qualified for the knockout rounds had they not been in the group. PSG, Dortmund and Milan are all three very strong teams in Group F. Congratulations to PSG and Dortmund! Both teams are attempting to advance to the Champions League Round 16 and I think their group is the hardest in the group this season due to the strength and performance of every team. However, the game rules dictate that some teams must lose and some will win. While Newcastle and AC Milan are heading home, Dortmund and PSG have qualified. To be fair, both teams tried, but ultimately a team has to be eliminated.

Arsenal finally gets to qualify for the first time after a very long time in the UCL, it's their first time to qualify for the round of sixteen in the champions league after over four years of not been able to get pass the group stage in all their UCL appearances in the past four years, they will be facing tougher teams and I hope they will be able to make it pass the round of sixteen.

Manchester city aswell were able to qualify but their performance tonight made it clear that the teams performance will really be affected in the absence of certain key players because they were unable to put up a strong resistance against their opponent which led to the conceiving over two goals, their opponent almost got an equalizer but they were lucky to later get a goal which kept them ahead, by next UCL appearance, hopefully all their key players will be present and they will perform even better.

Arsenal's performance allowed them to advance to the champion league round sixteen; otherwise, they would have remained in the group stage. The Arsenal team is working extremely hard to ensure that they advance to the next round of the champion league because they are aware that they can beat some teams with their performance, and I still think Arsenal can advance from the round sixteen. regarding Manchester City I'm confident they'll make it because their group stage wasn't as difficult as the ones for the other teams. Honestly with the result in the first half, I thought Newcastle were heading into the Champions League last 16 when they were leading AC Milan 1-0 and as Paris Saint-Germain struggled to beat Borussia Dortmund. But they couldn’t protect the lead. I don’t think it was a disappointing outing. It’s the first time after many years and couple with the long lists of injuries in the team. The group wasn’t an easy one for them. Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Ac Milan are big guns in the UCL and I didn’t expect Newcastle to easily go through.

Yes, you’re correct, Newcastle would have qualified from Group A of Copenhagen, Galatasaray and Bayern Munich. They had some good performances that should’ve seen them scale through.

Fair or unfair is what must be accepted by all teams playing in the Champions League and UEFA has rules regarding the draw so it is quite natural that Newcastle are in a fairly tough group because they are not included as the favorite team.
Newcastle can try again next season but of course, they must first improve their performance so they can get a place in the top four of the English Premier League.

Newcastle united performance from the beginning of this tournament was very poor that made them to remain in the last position in group F which is a big disgrace to big team like Newcastle united in the champion league competition. It was a shocking match seen Newcastle united to first AC Milan to scored goal in the first half but AC Milan turned the match for their favour in the second half by equalized the goal and added another goal that made them to defeated Newcastle united 1-2 for the favour of AC Milan. In this group, getting even into the Europa League can be considered a success. It was probably the most difficult and competitive group in the qualifying tournament. Pioli really outplayed Eddie Howe not only in this match, but in the group as a whole. When Milan had 1 point everyone thought that Newcastle would probably qualify for the Europa League and maybe even out of the group, but then Milan won their most important games and qualified for the Europa League. For Milan maybe it will be even better, because they will be able to really fight for the title, although a little earlier Pioli already started to criticize and say that Milan got the championship by accident.

Screw Newcastle United, they are going nowhere, they had them chances and couldn't make good use of the opportunities they had. After the draw and win to Parisians, thy should have done same against Borrussia Dortmund. They would want to blame their lose on injuries but I don't think that's good excuse. They was in a good form proir to the game against Borrussia Dortmund at home but the germans found ways to escape from that game with three good points. They lost back to back games against Dortmund and that was their hope of going on top of PSG and AC Milan. They got fvcked hard with injuries no doubt but that's too much the manager still had players who can execute his plans. They'll be back home competing for the domestic league games just like Manchester United.

Looking at the previous meetings between Borrussia Dortmund and PSG, you'll see that they find it difficult to triumph at away games when facing Dortmund. Luis Enrique should buckle up, the going gets tougher from here..

This is also about luck. Several teams that were actually quite strong did not make it through and on the other hand, several teams that were considered mediocre teams actually managed to qualify for the next round. I think this is a risk for all teams in the group stage. I also agree with you that Newcastle is actually better than several other clubs who have qualified for the round of 16 but however Newcastle is not lucky because they are in the most difficult group of all. I only regret that they also failed to qualify for the UEFA League even though honestly they could have played very well there. But Milan is indeed more worthy because they were able to beat Newcastle in their last match.
