No one can have a definite advantage or outcome from gambling, if a gambler wins, he doesn't really benefit because if you count from defeat, all the wins are not comparable.

Yet you would need to explain how actually great players do make it consistently to top positions in the tournament rankings. And we are talking thousands of people involved in poker gaming and just a few that really make their (very good living) out of these. So yes, gambling is a way of income for many but you would need to choose a game that is not merely based on chance.

I don't really see gambling as a main source of income since it isn't a stable one. But I just want to share that I also experienced it. I experienced a moment where I don't really have much other source of income that time since I don't have a work yet. Then I started sportsbetting (not my first time), I only bet small amount of money then I experienced winning quite a big amount (compared to the money I bet) twice. My second win was just few days after the first win. Then I also have small wins that time. It was all on sportsbetting so I was feeling the moment. The point of controlling yourself is different from each person's perspectives.
