Greetings my fellow Naija people.
I don't know why some people are still falling into the traps of those people that will call you for phone or meet you one on one and introduce fake decentralized investment, that if you invest #100,000 you will get #200,000 within a week. Someone came to share with me that there is a BTC investment one of his neighbor introduced to him, that when he invest on it through him , my friend will get double profit from it but the minimum anyone can start with is #500,000 above, that the numbers of people they want in that BTC investment is almost complete, that he came to seek advice from me if such decentralized investment is real. But I told my friend to run alway from them, that those guys are scammers and they don't have any knowledge about BTC investment. Did I give him a good advice ? What is your advice to such person.
Yes the advice you gave to your friend is a good one.
I Learnt the hard way that there is nothing like trust in the social media space, sometimes people you know like your favs or friends online might be the reason you get scammed and deceived about investing and getting double or triple of what you invested back.
The hardship in the country has also made people fall victim of scams like this even till this present time but we can’t keep blaming people and the country for our own failures and mistakes.
If you check the links of those websites or platforms they tell you that it pays or can double your investment, they are usually not realistic and they crash in a very short period of time with your because they are all Ponzi schemes.
The people that refer you to the website say things Like
Register with 10k instead of 20k so you can be eligible to be one of the first persons to cash out ,there is limited slots available or they tell you to join their group so they can be dropping crypto updates that just launched which
also pays according to them which is are all warning signs that it’s all fake.
These are basic attempts for those websites to get enough money from you instead of the other way round.
My advice to someone like your friend is to make findings well enough about a supposed crypto platform or website before thinking of investing any money at all into it ,To also avoid clicking unrealistic links and pay attention to warnings signs in the those write ups or websites.
