That's an interesting consideration you are bringing up here, but what would Musk gain from it if that was the case? I mean it could really be more behind this whole thing than meets the eye at first, but it would have to be of advantage for both. I can't think of anything crystal clear that would benefit Musk except for the sheer mass of people all around the world who would want to watch it, but they are not having such an event to expand their follower count. It would have to be something else with long-term effects.

A unique take but one that will cost them a lot if they followed through with this. Not only are people anticipating a full on knuckles-to-face fight between the two of them, you also have to consider the fact that Metaverse isn't the most accepted Web3.0 concept as of the moment. So people will see this as these people bullshitting on everyone and making them wait for nothing. All of those preparations for nothing? I read somewhere that Elon want to air the fight in his X companies and any revenue generated from the fight will make sure it is distributed to the less privilege. Is this some kind of test Elon is trying to do or just another random tweets to go viral of his company. I feel like Elon is just putting a false narrative to gain attention and Mark is also doing the same by playing with the public emotions, they don't have any much in mind else by one the day for the fight would have been announced for the public and perhaps by now we will be talking about who will win round 1 and round 2.

LOL.. what makes you think that Elon is OK with giving free promotion to Mark Zuckerberg's Metaverse? Meta share prices are still recovering after a serious meltdown in 2022 and there is no reason for Elon to give a boost to Zucker who is struggling at this point. The fight may happen in one of the online platforms, but I don't think that Metaverse will be selected. Well that's a smart way to settle and promote the metaverse. If they fight in the metaverse, they will be both benificiaries since both of them are owners of tech companies and they are the big guys who support metaverse. One thing that is very telling about his insecurity was that he said he is bringing weights to the work, because he doesn't have time to train. He does have time to tweet and read tweets all the time but some reason doesn't have time to train. And may i add that lifting weights isn't training for MMA fight. It's just lifting weights.

I think you are onto something with your metaverse considerations. The only thing that speaks against it is that Musk was quite serious about what is to happen with any money earned through the platforms X and Meta. There has been a response I think from the minister of culture in Italy or so and they said that Musk promised to pay money to hospitals for children and similar causes.

Now all of this could still be a virtual reality fight and he wouldn't be lying if he says it will take place "in Rome in an epic place" or something along those lines. But I think it would be disappointing for the people if they were some virtual reality figures fighting against each other.

All these speculations I guess are to gain media attention and promote the businesses. A debate between these billionaires will be an ideal event to settle their scores because they are not athletes. Proposing a combat between two footballers or professional runners might be more reasonable than a fight between two soft business executives. This fight might just be an advertisement strategy.
