Sorry to put it out but this isn’t the right way to go about investment. You can ask people to just send DM and you trust the suggestion of a total stranger which may turn out to be a scammer. I am sure that anyone that would be sending you PM would mostly be someone that would want to promote there shitcoins.

If seriously you’re actually in for investing and then you would need to go through everything yourself and the only cryptocurrency that fits your criteria for retirement investment is bitcoin. But even that needs some knowledge on Its security and the rest. If you are truly interested in investing in them which I doubt from your post then read through the pin charts on the forum or other articles. If you need help ask it by creating a thread and stop asking for people to PM you to avoid something that I am sure would lead to you been scammed

Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation.

This is an obvious character of a scammer. Scammers are easy to call an amount of money. A serious investor shouldn't be mentioning an amount of money to entice an adviser.

I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.

You are not 64. A 64 yrs old person should have the time to study. Atleast to know a bit of what they will invest into. That is how anyone above 50 behaves

You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help

Someone looking for advice contacts his adviser and not the other way round. Let me give you a benefit of doubt that you want to invest, choose bitcoin, buy and hold in a non custodial wallet. By the q1 of 2024 check your investment.

Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation.
Fiat currencies are losing their purchasing powers but it has been lasting since appearances of fiat currencies. If our ancestors can live well and even were rich with fiat currencies, we can be the same. You are right to find alternative assets to invest and run away from fiat currency inflation but your choice on what asset to spend capital for it is important. If you choose wrong, you lose money and surely will have worse finance than if simply hold your fiat.

If you don't want to learn, even basics of what you will invest money in, just don't invest. Keep your capital in fiat will be best choice for you.

In all your 4 posts in the forum, you've asked that people email you, why do you want anyone to help you invest your money, do you trust who's going to email you, or should they even trust you because it is suspicious that you keep asking forum members' to send you an email. Some few days ago you said you'll no longer be using the forum:
I asked for help on reddit and someone is helping me in the chat please someone email me at stevenjohnstone@mail.com I will no longer be using the forum
But you're still here, i don't think it is wise or safe for anyone to PM op, if they want to learn about BTC, they should stay active on the forum. Op is wasting everyone's time and may not even be in need of any help.

Just as Z-tight said; In your previous thread, in which you asked about learning about Bitcoin and how to use it, you also dropped your email over there for messages to come in from those who were willing to lend you their helping hands.

If you are the type to revisit threads, I doubt you are since you might not have the time to do that considering your age, and you might not even see the need to do that. But it's actually risky for you to openly request a DM from people and want them to advise you on how to go about an investment. Half of the mail you might get will definitely be from scammers trying to scam you out of that money.
You can possibly get everything you need in an open thread here; there is no need for DM.

About looking for the best place for you to invest your $20,000, here is a Bitcoin forum, and 50% of the advice might actually be that you invest a high percentage of those funds into Bitcoin, which I will also say.

But since you are already afraid of inflation, We know crypto has a strong resistance to inflation. But it's not immune to price dumps, so while considering investment choices by just calculating inflation risk, also take the volatility of the currency into consideration.

To me, Bitcoin has a better voting point, considering that you already have a huge amount budgeted for the investment and that you are also in for a long-term investment. To me, since you don't have time to actually learn more about the currency, just use the money to buy Bitcoin, which it will be worth, then get yourself an open-source hardware wallet and store from a trusted seller and securely save your bitcoins in there. You can just check the price and worth of your investment from time to time until you finally want to sell it.

You only need to invest in Bitcoin because Bitcoin provides the greatest possibility of making a profit. Meanwhile, if you want to invest in altcoins, you have to search one by one, which doesn't guarantee you can get the right one.

If you invest in Bitcoin, you don't need to look like altcoins. You just need to determine when to enter the market and start investing. And when you have succeeded in getting Bitcoin, you only need to hold it until the next ATH to enjoy the benefits.

But be careful with the frequently changing conditions of the Bitcoin price and don't panic if you see it happening. Try to manage your emotions when the market is correcting because buying more is the best moment.

First of all please hide your email address in you profile for security reasons. Your account might be compromised through the email address. Then coming to the amount you mentioned to invest. I don't think you are for real. We are not talking about 2,000 US dollars but $20,000. You mean you were able to save $20,000  in civil service work in your country, the story is not clear. By the way even though you are lieing, you are deceiving yourself. You can invest in Bitcoin. Open a non custodian wallet and keep your Bitcoin inside. And make sure that $20,000 you want to invest with Bitcoin is the spare funds in your hand because you are not going to spend or touch them for about 5+ years. So make sure you what you about to do first before embarking on the investment journey.

Have you initiated reading about this indistry you are engaging yourself with? 'coz if not, consider doing it for your own sake first. It's either you end up being taken advantage by ither users or end up in huge loss if you won't be able to manage the risk, in particular with market price volatility. No investment would generate instant and assured profit. So if you are planning to use your retirement money, which we could refer as your last salary, engage it to something which would give you higher chances of earning profit such as starting a small food business and such. Investing to crypto is indeed profitable, but things won't be easily be in favor with your expectations.

I don't think you're going to get any help in this forum, you'll get a scammer or a concerned bitcoiner, and I've seen your post where you posted your email so you're more likely to be pestered by scammers, the best thing that you can do sir is to go to your local or trusted financial advisor and talk to him about cryptocurrency investing because that's the safest bet for you especially for a senior citizen that doesn't have much knowledge about the current technology, you can still learn here but I am sure that regarding investing, it's best if you know, and can see who you're talking to about it.

If you read some of the comments above, you'll see it's likely the OP himself is a scammer and not someone who will scam him. And unfortunately for him, most of the people on the forum are seasoned investors, they are not so easily fooled. OP is wasting his time here, bitcointalk is not an easy place to do floating scams like telegram or Twitter.
No one is stupid enough to publicize how much money they have and are even willing to share emails with strangers, you should be more careful with people like OP than thinking they are very naive.

Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation.

To be honest if you want to invest in a more useful coin, Bitcoin is the right choice first, and if it's in the long term we think this is much better, because so far everyone who invests in crypto they put their main Asset in Bitcoin, and from that perspective Their investors are far more concerned with Bitcoin than some other coins.

I am %100 percent sure that this is a lie and OP is not a 64 years old with 20 thousand dollars. But even if we assume its a lie, we can still share it just case for others who may want to learn. I think the best at that age should be bitcoin, because at any given moment everything could crash and if you keep on investing into something that will risk the rest of your life, that would be terrible. At 64, you do not have chance to wait a decade or two to see bitcoin go up, that's literally rest of your life, at 20-30 even 40 years old we can do that because it means we will have a better wealth when we reach that age, but when you are already there, its always a risky move, its either bitcoin only or even better yet no crypto at all.

Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
you need to have time to learn about cryptocurrency even though you will not have to learn a lot about it. This is important when it comes to risk taking and not making a mistake of sending your crypto coins to the wrong Blockchain. The market is not that bullish now so it's going to be a big advantage for you when you buy now and and hold for as long as you like.

The buy of Bitcoin will soon go up more so I will advise you to go for Bitcoin because it is the number one crypto coin in the market based on market cap, numbers of holders and liquidity. Bitcoin is one of the most reliable reputable coin in the market and you will not have a problem when you buy it. Make sure you also stay away from scammers because they will dm you and tell you they can help you purchase any coin that you want, remember scammers are everywhere so be careful.

Our age gap is nearly 4 decades, but as a younger one, I will give my own advice to you with respect as well.

Sir, I don't think that this is the correct platform for you to ask which cryptocurrency is the best for you to put your retirement fund with. I can easily suggest Bitcoin, or even Ethereum, but it seems like you don't know anything about the 2 of them thus, I don't want you to put your money into something that you don't even know. If you really want to invest into cryptocurrency then at least spend some time learning it please because you might see your portfolio losing double digits in span of a few days, and you might feel panicked because of that.

Anyway, whether what you're saying is true or not, I wouldn't suggest any coin for you because it seems like you don't know anything about crypto like what you said already. Just focus that money in different asset class.

There aren't any coins for you to invest in because blindly investing is stupid and not recommended.  if you want to invest, then you need to know what you are going to invest in, so no matter how difficult it is, you should take the time to figure things out on your own. otherwise, you should not invest.

You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help

If this is not a scam, I will tell you a common advice that we give to every newbie to cryptocurrency and this forum which is that you should not make decisions  about Investments on another person's research. In this situation this is your retirement money you are talking about, and you have to be very careful where you choose to invest it. If you believe the words of a stranger all in the name of recommendation without you doing your own research to verify what you've been told, it can be a big mistake.

Even if you are told to invest in bitcoins, still try to find out why you should. invest in bitcoins on your own.

Oops, you probably not going to like what I am about to say sir, if you can't create to learn the necessary things about crypto then crypto investment is not for someone like you, if you don't learn a thing and just invest, how are you going to keep your assets safe? There is something called private key or recovery seed, this is something you must learn about and know if you want to retire with the 20k or risk loosing your 20k before your retirement happens.

Bitcoin is fhs best and the safest one to plan for retirement, but you blindly investing in Bitcoin comes with some.risks and that risks can only be neutralized if you know what Bitcoin is and how you can keep your Bitcoin safe, there are some Bitcoin wallets that are dangerous for storing Bitcoin, how will you tell the difference?

Many people are accusing you, and if you really are not a scammer. I advise you not to invest, not only with cryptocurrencies but with any investment, because you should not invest on the advice of strangers and do not know what you will invest in. If someone is texting you to give you advice, I am 100% sure that person is a scammer. But my question is, are you telling the truth, or are you the one trying to scam people?  Grin Grin

Sincerely, I don't understand why you chose to invest in something you have no knowledge of. Despite the positive aspects of cryptocurrency that you may have heard about from some people, it may not be what you are thinking. Since investing in cryptocurrency involves risk, you should find the time to educate yourself before doing so. When you are educated and knowledgeable, it will be simple for you to conduct your own study and identify the best coins for potential investment. Everyone you see on this forum not perfect, so even if someone decides to urge you to buy in a shitcoin, I've already indicated that person is a promoter and might be doing that for it own interest.

And one more, why did you always want people to contact you privately? despite the warnings you received in your first post in this forum that the  internet is  full of scammers, you still instead in doing so.I don't think your ways are clear with this kind of habit.

A simple piece of advice from me is that the best crypto you can safely invest that amount in should be just Bitcoin. Since this is your first time wanting to invest in crypto, I believe you are not really experienced, which is why you must not just invest in the sort of Altcoins that people would ask you to invest in. If you have $20k as you claim, then you can buy Bitcoin on DCA, so that even if the price of Bitcoin goes down below what it is now, you'll still be accumulating gradually, and if you are able to hold the Bitcoin you Accumulate for like five or ten years, then you will make profit. Depending on how long you intend to hold it, it will also determine the profit you will get (although, no body know the future).

@OP, Just as the first piece of advice you got on this topic said, beware of the kind of DM you will get because, as I can say, almost 80% of the DM you will get may be absolute scam shitcoin projects, so I would suggest you should just be concerned about accumulating Bitcoin.

Cheers 🥂, Dr.Bitcoin_Strange 👺👺

Bitcoin (BTC). That's the best advice from me for you to invest.
What you want is to escape inflation and Bitcoin is a pretty good hedge.
By choosing Bitcoin, you just need to be patient in the long run and I think it's worth it if you don't have time to learn the ins and outs of crypto for fear that there won't be enough time given your current age if you are true about what you say.

You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
Just go through the forum, you will find what you want, no need to send emails because most of them are busy with work.

I have to agree with you mate. Learning crypto investing is not just as easy as that like sending an email and point out which coin to invest. You have to learn it all by yourself because you can’t be a good investor in the first place if you simply rely from others for your decision. And the fact that crypto particularly bitcoin is highly volatile and you can’t expect a fixed but a roller coaster price, then the more that you have to do your own diligence to study how bitcoin works and how it will be profitable as an investment. After all, all your efforts and hard work will eventually paid off in the end and will give you life changing profits that you can never imagine.

Echoing other's advice, Bitcoin is the best investment among cryptocurrency because of its liquidity and community.  So I would say if you @OP is intersted in cryptocurrecny investment put the majority of your fund into Bitcoin and the amount that you can afford to lose to altcoin that can moon or simply can be labeled as hidden gem for it can give you profit way more than BTC can give but the risk is really high.  HIgh enough that you can consider your investment lost.  It is also important that you will make an effort to know what about your possible investment.

In my opinion you should invest in bitcoin, its rate of return is many times higher than that of stocks. You should create a poll topic, there are quite a few scammers around us, they may ask you to send some money to them to invest. be careful

Maybe the OP thinks he can trick some of the forum users to get mail addresses, which he might likely want to use in either getting their forum account compromised or using their mails for something else likely to compromise the mails and get rid of anything important he finds there.

I was of the opinion in his first thread that
Quote
all the necessary tips you will need will be provided for you here in the forum
, but the OP keeps dropping mail for people to PM him. I think he is likely here to scam people because the forum made room for all necessary discussions publicly, which is very good because others do come in here and get some tips that do help their Bitcoin Carriers.

It is entirely at your risk to invest the said money on the advice of others. If you have no experience with cryptocurrency then the amount of money you want to invest will be entirely at your own risk. Why you choose to invest at this age you have no idea, because there are so many scammers in cryptocurrency.  Before investing you must first gain good knowledge about cryptocurrency.Cryptocurrency can be the best platform for you if you invest in the right way.  Although if you invest Bitcoin, you can't earn good profit from any coin other than Bitcoin.

I don't think there is any need to personal message or gmail someone to give advice about something. You have created a topic where everyone can share their opinions but there is no privacy about giving advice. So why are you asking to mail for this advice. If you really want to invest, $20,000 is a very large amount to invest at first. And then you mention your age is 60 plus ie you are a senior citizen. Hopefully there are other members of your family who may have different opinions about investing your money in Bitcoin or other currencies. Before investing such a huge amount of money discuss with the family members if they give you consent then you can decide about it.

If you don't want and don't have time to learn then my advice is don't try to invest in crypto, you can't completely leave your investment to someone else because your own involvement is required and it is wrong decision. It's best to find another job that's easier for you to run and don't force yourself to invest when you don't want to learn to understand it yourself.

But when you are serious about making an investment, I suggest that you study bitcoin because other cryptos are much riskier to invest in than bitcoin which has been proven to be one of the best at the moment.

You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
It takes its own analysis before getting involved in investing and fully expecting it from other people is a wrong decision. Decisions must be based on our own knowledge and other people have nothing to do with it.

Go for a low-risk investment and settle for 5% annually instead of trying to risk a high-risk investment without technical knowledge and without willingness to learn, and then you may achieve a return or not, but in the end the psychological damage of losing your money will remain greater, especially when you are at this age.Do not believe ads that tell you a quick return on investment, and if you intend to take risks, investing 10% of this amount in Bitcoin is sufficient.

Telling people to contact you through the forum or email is wrong, I can assure you that scammers will come knocking at your door, pretending to have something good to offer but their target is your 20,000$.

This could also be that you are the one trying to play the victims here, maybe when people start sending those PM you will look for your victims and you will probably promise to give them some shares if they can do one thing for you.

I am sharing this because I have seen it happen more than once, there are scammers on this forum as well and it could take time before the moderator figure them out and deal with them.

       -    You know 20k$ is a big amount here in our country. As far as I can see, you should not be angry with me, although I know that you may be interested in investing in Bitcoin because it is the best long-term investment here that can be said to be proven and tested.

I think that instead of asking here on the forum platform where you will use your retirement fee, it is better that if you have relatives or close friends, you should ask them first. Because if you ask here, maybe many people will send you a pm pretending to be a good person but will just take advantage of your ignorance about crypto or bitcoin. There are still many scammers here on the forum platform, we don't know, do we? who knows? It is better to be careful first, because you have worked hard for your retirement fee for several years. Then you shouldn't say to contact you via pm or your email, so be careful, especially since you're new here.

According to your post, it seems you want to say if you're already old person and don't want to learn about Bitcoin, but you're looking a way from someone to invest for you. I'd say it's better for you to not invest in Bitcoin because you will scared due to high volatility and might scared you will lose all of your coins due to FUDs spreading of quantum computing can hack your wallet, government will ban Bitcoin etc.

There is a wide variety of guidance for beginners in the cryptocurrency world. Be sure to educate yourself on the basics of block chain technology. Take a long time to understand the risks and volatility associated with investing in cryptocurrencies, regulatory uncertainties, etc. Start small and invest as much as you can afford to lose. Don't invest wealth in crypto that you can't survive in the real world if you lose it. Patience, a learning mindset and a cautious approach every step of the way will be useful in your crypto journey.

I don't know how busy you are to not have any time to learn about something like Bitcoin. You don't even need to grasp everything in a single week — you could simply just read for an hour a day, and you'd still be ahead than the herd.
You are planning to invest all your retirement money in bitcoin and you are not ready to learn about what you are investing in, its kind of funny to me. After working for years then you are planning to invest your retirement money blindly? You are 64 years, you are already at your old age, i don't think you are having any work left that you are doing, so i think learning about bitcoin should be very easy, you can just be reading about bitcoin and cryptocurrency for relaxation.

Also you have to be very careful or you might be scammed, most people that will be sending you personal messages claiming they want to help just want to scam you so you have to be very careful. also their is a rules in crypto investment, always invest any amount you can afford to lose, don't invest what's going to affect you incase if anything happens to your investment. make sure you split the money which you are planning to invest, don't invest all in bitcoin, and make sure you take your time to learn about bitcoin investment before investing in bitcoin, Bitcoin investment is not for lazy person, if you are planning to invest and you are lazy, you can make research often, don't be surprise if you investment end up being compromise.

It's his decision to invest in crypto blindly and there's nothing we can do about it but if he did change his mind then it would be good for him. At least we tried our best to give OP an advice to never invest in crypto without knowing what it is and if he plan to invest then he should learn a few things about crypto like Bitcoin, wallets and more. Not learning anything could also result in losing the money since increasing your security is important to keep the BTC safe and secured.

If you don’t have time to learn prior to investing, then I don’t see any chances that you’ll be successful in your investment since even investing alone requires knowledge and experience in the market. Otherwise, investing will likely fall into gambling knowing you are not even knowledgeable on what coin you are going to invest in the first place. Asking suggestions what coins to invest is not enough, you should also do your part and take time to DYOR since it’s always basic to know what you are investing for.

I appreciate your interest in crypto investment, but it's unfortunate that you're currently unable to dedicate enough time to learn about it. It's crucial to prioritize your understanding before diving into such endeavors. Instead of pursuing Bitcoin investment, it might be more beneficial for you to explore other opportunities in the real world. While this suggestion may not initially sound appealing, it is ultimately in your best interest. Learning the basics of Bitcoin doesn't have to be a lengthy process; a simple online search and watching a few tutorials can provide you with enough knowledge to grasp the fundamentals.

Despite that you're likely to be a scammer, I would like to know how you raised the $20k because no single organization will pay you such amount as a retirement package. Whatever you did to accumulate that huge amount seems to be working for you and I would definitely recommend you to keep doing it since you don't have time to learn about crypto.

Why do you need someone to contact you by the way? You need a tutor? Or someone to invest the money for you? You must be joking. Not only crypto but whatever you intend to invest in, do diligent study by sacrificing your time to avoid regret later. At this your acclaimed age, stay away from Crypto if you don't have single knowledge of it before and you're not willing to learn. It is dangerous to your mental health

Thats if he is not even the one looking for someone to scam, I like to be optimistic about such person asking for for pm to be given an advice which you can see clearly that the forum is an open source conversation ground and all advice's are given to a users the moment you post a thread asking for help or direction in some areas you actually understand.

I don't know but something tells me that the OP isn't actually looking for an investment means and its just trying to seek attention of volatile users here in the forum.

If you don't have the time to learn and understand crypto and its ins and outs at this point, it's better for you to buy Bitcoin because Bitcoin is already very strong in the market and also well-known in the community so you don't need time to study it again to know the best because Bitcoin is already very well proven. But if you are still unsure about Bitcoin at the age of 64, it's better if you just keep the money for you to enjoy in your old age and don't buy any investment that still makes you doubt it.

I think this is a bit harsh. He could just be someone who is genuinely looking for some help. I don't see how someone could scam when they are looking to put their money somewhere, rather I see are the opposite - that the risk of being scammed is high.

@stevenjohnston some tips.
1. Don't use your real name as your username, anywhere
2. If you have bought bitcoin, store on a secure system (talk to your kids or look up how to install linux) - Do not put you r coins on a insecure windows system.
3. Use Bitcoin core if you have a few days and 600~ GB of free hard drive space for the standard client, or check out Electrum which is a lightweight wallet, which might be easier to setup.

Please ask questions in the beginners and help section about how to be secure and people will help you. Security is important in making sure you don't lose your coins.

Also, in terms of what coin to invest in - Bitcoin. Anything else is probably inferior.

I will always suggest bitcoin as the only crypto that is more secured and reliable when it comes to profit consistency and the rest are just following the pattern of bitcoin. But let me remind you that success won’t come easily like you expect especially you are investing in such in a highly volatile and an unpredictable market. You need to educate yourself at all cost and be aware how your investment will work since the outcome of your investment will be a great basis how well you know on what you are doing.

Your message sounds so naive that I don't really know if it's a scam or not. Being rather naive myself, this is borderline stupidity.

1. You should know that you can't invest without doing a bit of research yourself (without listening to a bank advisor or, even worse, a stranger on the Internet).

2. Can you imagine arriving somewhere and saying "hello, I've got $20,000 and I don't know what to do with it"? You'll attract all the leeches and crooks.

3. If, in addition, it's not a username but your real name (which seems possible), it's a bit of a winning combo for crooks. An e-mail, then a call, then a scam deposit site and in 10 seconds you'll have nothing.

Read the FBI's advice here and, without being paranoid, beware. Someone has already advised you to hide your e-mail and you've done nothing.

I'm leaning towards a super-naïve user, but I could be wrong.

I know that your money will be used for the investment that you want to buy in this field industry. But I just have a question, why do I need to contact you for that matter when you can directly create an account on Binance and other crypto exchanges that are known and trusted platforms so that you can buy Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency that you think can give you savings in the future?

I think that what you said here in the post you made is that you are putting your investment capital at risk in a situation where it can be at risk. Then I think you need to know what you're getting into, besides you need to take care of your 20k$ somehow, because of course you still worked hard for it.

sorry sir but 20000 dollars isn't 2 dollars that you should be risk off on people's opinion, if you're sure this is what you want to do, I think you need to create the time to study and acquire more knowledge pertaining to it, just so when your given an advice by anyone, with the knowledge you may have acquired you'd know which advice is worth taking and which should be ignored.

In my opinion you should invest in bitcoin, its rate of return is many times higher than that of stocks. You should create a poll topic, there are quite a few scammers around us, they may ask you to send some money to them to invest. be careful

A poll won't even be a better option because it will look like you're relying on other people's opinions in order to make your investment, and you might likely hold others responsible for your losses when things don't go as planned.

To me, the best is just to seek advice and suggestions publicly while you await other people's opinions so you can know what's best for you and draw your conclusion from them without putting your hope entirely on others.

this is a very meaningless scam trick, a person over 60 years old is not going to be taking the risk of entering the bitcoin market and holding it, it makes no sense, what is this 60 year old person hoping to achieve in put retirement money or who could enjoy the few years of life he has left in bitcoin to hold for 3 or more years? Does this person over 60 expect to have more money that way? And if you die, how will your relatives find out that you left money in bitcoin?

everything in life has to have limits, a person of a very advanced age should not be making high-risk investments, a person of advanced age should rest a lot, should stay away from stress, should have fun with his grandchildren and children and siblings , let your children take care of business and problems, there are times in this world when people need to know when to stop and rest. live life free from problems and stress. Of course people like scientists, long time investors are not going to rest at that age, but they should.

OP lying to people and trying to steal their money is disgusting

I know that your money will be used for the investment that you want to buy in this field industry. But I just have a question, why do I need to contact you for that matter when you can directly create an account on Binance and other crypto exchanges that are known and trusted platforms so that you can buy Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency that you think can give you savings in the future?

I think that what you said here in the post you made is that you are putting your investment capital at risk in a situation where it can be at risk. Then I think you need to know what you're getting into, besides you need to take care of your 20k$ somehow, because of course you still worked hard for it.
Cryptocurrency is not something one will just wake one faithful morning and all of a sudden, interested in crypto, it needs time for everything to be planned out, our strategies and also our time invested should count, according to the adage "No pain, no gain" we needs to experience some level of stress inother to gained enough complex knowledge from the market. That's basically what we need inother to extend our survival in the market, because investing in accordance to people's advise and recommendations, one would be leftover and probably record hugh losses, these people OP is seeking advise from are all together different. $20k is not a small money, more like a retiring benefits plan.

Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation.
Steven, hello and welcome to the forum. That $20k is the lumpsum of your retirement fund, right? We don't advise you to put everything of it on crypto not because we don't want you to be here but because you need to start it out by knowing it actually through your own understanding. We all want to defeat inflation and that's why investing in bitcoin is one of the best hedge against it. Despite that, we don't want you to walk into shadows or being blindfold having that lot of money.

I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
Work on it, if you don't have time of learning it. At least know the basics of it and you're all good. That's all what we want you to know first before investing that hard earned money of yours. But much better that don't all in of it since you're already 64 and we don't know your sources of income and this could possibly be your last money.

I appreciate the step you are about to take, to invest for old age. But is it not too risky for you? Considering your age is quite old

But if you want to invest in crypto, of course bitcoin is the best choice. Bitcoin always makes a profit every year, even though there is a decrease in price, the price of bitcoin is always able to rise more than the previous year. You can share your investment money to ethereum, etherum is pretty good too.

My advice is don't invest all your money in bitcoin, save it for your subsistence. Don't let you need money when the bitcoin price drops, it can actually make you lose

Since you are a newbie you need to analyze various aspects before investing. But the people OP has accused you of being a scammer and I find that to be true. If you have such a big fund you will never invest because you have no idea about investing. Maybe you have no idea how to invest, so how do you get involved in investing after listening to another person's advice? And you mentioned that only a scammer would do this if he personally sends you a message to advise you. So you put the thought of investing out of your head. And learn about long-term investing Think about investing later.

If you don't have the time to learn and understand crypto and its ins and outs at this point, it's better for you to buy Bitcoin because Bitcoin is already very strong in the market and also well-known in the community so you don't need time to study it again to know the best because Bitcoin is already very well proven.
Although Bitcoin is reliable and famous, but it is better before investing it is better to try to understand and learn it first, at least when the market experiences the bearish season he does not panic and do something beyond estimates that results in losses to it. But when he is able to maintain this condition to be more normal and able to control the risk of these conditions, Bitcoin is the right choice because even though he does not have more fundamental knowledge, holding is a way that can be applied.

The point is the extent to which he can minimize the risk of panic and investment in Bitcoin is not too difficult because it only requires patience and can control the risk when market conditions are corrected so severe. Difficulties in people undergoing dibitcoin investment because they do not have patience and are unable to control themselves at certain times.

But if you are still unsure about Bitcoin at the age of 64, it's better if you just keep the money for you to enjoy in your old age and don't buy any investment that still makes you doubt it.
Back again to the readiness of each person and if you are not ready to undergo an investment, the choice you give is much better to enjoy the rest of your life calmly.

Be careful! By telling people that you have money and that you are willing to invest but need help, you are making yourself a clear target for scammers and other criminals!

I would recommend that you do not trust anyone sending you private messages on how to buy crypto and which crypto is best. We can help you out with your inquiries but it would be safer for you if the discussion was only here, on this thread, not in your private messages.

So if anyone gives you bad advice, us crypto veterans can warn you not to listen to them.

As to your question: The objectively best cryptocurrency is and remains Bitcoin. But you can take a look at all the crypto listings on coinmarketcap.com. There are a lot of useful infos there and is the go-to website for every coiner.

As to how to buy crypto, I recommend you only use trusted exchanges like Binance, Kucoin, Coinbase, Kraken...etc. You can see more on coinmarketcap.com.

Hopefully that $20k is not your entire retirement pool, if it is, crypto won't save you. But if it's just an amount you're hoping to put into something more risky (high risk - high reward), I'd probably still go with Bitcoin. Historically speaking it is outperforming the rest of the crypto long-term, of course you won't be able to make x1,000 as in the past, but picking up other crypto that could yield you that much is close to impossible.
I wouldn't view Bitcoin as a safe haven protecting you from inflation. It still should be considered as a high risk asset, as its price is largely driven by news and actions of regulatory bodies, which is not something that can be easily predicted.

It will not be a good idea to invest in crypto if you don't want to learn at least the basic things of Crypto like how they works and what are the advantages and disadvantages.

Every investment has it's potential and risk. So Bitcoin and other crypto have also some properties which you must know before making any investment. Because it's your money what you are going to invest so why you will hear other's suggestion when it can be a wrong decision. Now telling about my choice, If I have 20k$ then I will surely choose Bitcoin for investment because it will surely grow my investment for long term. Because mass adoption are running and it has only limited supply which is 21 Million and day by day it's usecases are increasing.

Now saying about the risks, Bitcoin is volatile so market can be cashed if anything wrong happen to the market and you may lose your value. Investing in Bitcoin and holding it in a Custodial wallet is the worst decision. So always have to keep your investments safe by using non custodial secured wallets. That's all about my advice.

First the money you are looking is not a small cash and for an investment like that you would have to be the one who is gonna make that choice for yourself because firstly the market is very volatile and you need to understand this and don't expect any positive return from the moment you make that investment, you will have to be certain that you are going for a long investment and during your investment you will encounter a lot of ups and downs but bitcoin should be the only reliable source of investment for you because it has proven its credibility over the years.

It’s always bitcoin that you are looking for. But investing takes a lot of risk especially that bitcoin alone is highly volatile. The reason why you have to gain prior learning on how to manage and grow your investment before you actually decide to invest. Otherwise, bitcoin price drops will always make you feel frustrated, not realizing that it’s a good opportunity to buy more and hold more for future profits.

These are the reasons why you should put a lot of time to learn in the forum OP. Investing has its own risk, but investing with knowledge and prior experiences will eventually lessen the risk of losing. So if you keep expecting help from others without educating yourself first, then I don’t think you’ll be successful with your bitcoin investment no matter how valuable and profitable it is.

This is not a good way of making investement because you are totally unaware of the basics of crypto coins so it will be hard for you to successfully invest and get the benefit as knowledge is very necessary to be a profitable investor. Second thing is that you don't want to learn so there is another way to choose someone other who will make investment for you and will give you profit. So for this purpose everyone will wants you to contact with you but remember that the world is full of cruel and scammers and the mentioned amount is very larger, the scammers will easily steel your money and you will have nothing to do.

I will suggest you to not put such a big amount in crypto if you don't have any knowledge about it and don't know how to get the benefit from it. 60 years of age is not as more as you cannot learn about it therefore try to understand the market and then put little amount of money into bitcoin for 5 or 6 years then you will surely see your success after the mentioned period of time.

You have a point mate, asking people to pm him for investment advice is totally a bad idea, a friend of mine ones lost a huge money looking for advice on what to invest, he was introduced to invest on a coin but little did he know it was a shitcoin because he had no knowledge about coins, that was how his $2k turns out to be remaining $30. So just like Zaguru said, is actually not advice to ask everyone for investment advice because scammers will surely look for a means to lure you into shitcoin.

Bitcoin is good to invest but aside from that he should do more research to be more knowledgeable and also the investment risk, because most novice always See's investment in one direction, which is ''profit" without knowing the risk involve, so I believe he should be more oriented before investing.

20,000$ is a good amount of money to invest ion bitcoin; but the truth is that investment or more directly bitcoin investment should not be handled this way. As a 64 year old, you should not be depositing your entire savings and funds into bitcoin. WHy? because you will be forced to spend from it and that renders it vulnerable.

My advice for you? i think you should check out your capital again and define "spare money", you can use that to invest long term into bitcoin; because bitcoin is bullish long term

If you are serious to invest your money in crypto, you must take time to learn it carefully. It is not difficult to know which coins are better to invest, it is very clear that Bitcoin is the most recommended one. Bitcoin is the number 1 crypto coin and it is like the mother of crypo coins. You won't find out the strongest coin like Bitcoin. However, you must understand that investing in crypto isn't a safe investment, it is a risky investment. If you want to have a safe investment, you can choose land or Gold. But crypto offers the opportunity to earn profits more significantly than other things.

You don't have time to study which coin is the finest to invest in. I would advise you to solely invest in Bitcoin because it offers the least risk of any of them. Second, if you are going to invest in altcoins, I strongly advise you to only invest in the top ten cryptocurrencies according to Coinmarketcap. Because the rating is only based on market capitalization, the larger the market cap, the more authentic the currency and the lower the volatility. But first, you must understand how to use an exchange because there is a chance of losing funds in the exchange if you do not know how to use it.

The problem with investing in bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency is the problem of security. When you consider that people even have their bank cards hacked because they click on any link, frankly you have to wonder how the average person is going to secure its wallet.

It reminds me of people in France who invested in rental properties to get a tax break, without even looking at what the rents were in the area. Of course, the salesman overestimated the rents, and so much for tax optimization.

Any investment requires a bit of research, and now with the Internet it's really easy to find the right information.

Wow dude that's a lot if you wanna invest as newbie for $20.000,  just invest with small amount example $1000. Don't be greedy at the bear market, read caefully the situation of the news about cryptocurrency, never trust with whales signal or anything without you research first. If you considered for entry market, always learning without cares with your age, age just number I'm believe you have opportunity if you wanna talking about crypto with experts, transfer knowledge each other will make you smart, don't bored for learning anything

If you are actually looking to invest the money for your retirement into something you will obviously need to understand the ins and outs of it because investing $20,000 isn't a joke and you can't get success for your investment if you go only with suggestions with no knowledge and experience at all. So you should either learn how cryptocurrencies and trading work or you should find another stream to invest your money in.

Real estate is a pretty good investment option as well if you don't feel comfortable with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and find it difficult to understand them. You should invest your money in real estate so that you can feel more safe and don't have any hesitations and it is also not difficult to understand.

This is an obvious character of a scammer. Scammers are easy to call an amount of money. A serious investor shouldn't be mentioning an amount of money to entice an adviser.

You are not 64. A 64 yrs old person should have the time to study. Atleast to know a bit of what they will invest into. That is how anyone above 50 behaves
This is not how you should conclude. What if you are saying those words to a real man who is already 64 and decided to invest in crypto, but he is not that much serious yet? Maybe he wanted to give an ETA on how much he wants to invest. Maybe this is not the only option he thinks about. Maybe he is trying to learn from forum members before deciding to invest in crypto.

Do you have any proof that he is a scammer? It would be best if you didn't name-calling someone without any proper evidence. If you guys continue doing this shit, you will find this forum being isolated, and there will be no genuine newbies except Sig spammers. He already got a good suggestion from the first reply of this thread. There is no reason you can talk like this.

True, blind forays into the volatile crypto cosmos can be risky. We're amidst fraudsters, but let's not label all investment whizzes as tricksters. A professional money-manager, once you've done your Sherlock work, can be your trump card. Cross-verify any tip-off before staking your money. Age, a learning barrier? Never! But, is Bitcoin mastery all we're aiming for? Time to broaden the horizons to total financial fluency.

On this post thread, you've received a variety of advice and tips on what you should and shouldn't do in terms of investing in crypto.
Now it's up to you to use the information you've absorbed to your advantage. Fine if it involves investing all of your money in bitcoin. It's okay if you prefer something else. However, keep in mind that you take on the investment risk on your own. Don't let it be the case that you will be blaming someone for your misfortune tomorrow.

Most of people who is into cryptocurrency especially bitcoin forum acquire the knowledge of Bitcoin in this noble institution that impact the knowledge of bitcoins from one person to another, so therefore i believe that learning bitcoin can be achieve through bitcointalk forum if the person is inquisitive to learn the concept of bitcoins actually.

If he already knows the forum, there's no reason why he shouldn't take the time to learn everything about bitcoin rather than invest with someone's advice. Age is also not a problem when investing in bitcoin, bitcoin is not easy to understand but also not too difficult to understand if we really want to learn about it.

But I find it strange that at 64 years old, he should have more time than anyone else, why does he say that he is too busy and doesn't have time to learn about bitcoin when he wants to invest a large amount of money? There are many inadequacies and contradictions with what the OP is saying.

As a newcomer, $20k is an excessive amount of money to invest; I recommend dividing it among several market sectors. Newcomers should never stop studying because it never stops; every day, we learn new things and strengthen our brains in order to advance in the market. As a newbie, you must be completely independent because if you seek signals from whales elsewhere, you will be doing yourself no good because these signals profits do not last. When compared to whale trades, your account size is entirely different, whales trigger high leverage while newbies target small leverage, which is insufficient to fuel a trade.

You should not post like this because if you listen to someone how to invest with all your assets in life, you might go bankrupt one time, so instead of investing in someone's words, it is better for you to invest in Crypto with your own words.

If you buy gold or land, then you can be without profit for a long time, these investments are more aimed at preserving the invested money and not increasing it. Or, for this, it will be necessary to wait a very long time for the investment to bring a good profit. It makes more sense to buy a property and rent it out, so you save your money and earn monthly income from your property. Bitcoin now seems to be a promising direction, but of all the above, it is less reliable, this must be taken into account.

This is an open gateway for scammers and I just want to say congratulations  for giving scammers an open access to flood your pm and email inbox.
This isn't  the right way to put this out  and considering  your age and the fact that you're already impatient to atleast get to know the basics of what you intend to save when after retirement which isn't right and from the ooo of things it seems you're looking for an investment platform where you just dump your hard earned money and expect a no risk return and cases like this always end up as fraud and I'm sure you don't want to fall victim of such.

I will advice that rather than wanting to be in a haste to invest, atleast spend a month to acquire the necessary knowledge  of buying low and slong high at a contentment level.
I don't know if the email on your profile is your personal email or not but if its not, then I think you need to abandon that email as there might be alot of juicy  and very irresistible offers that might be presented to you by scammers and if you're not careful,  you might loss your 20k.

All kinds of suggestions given by my friends related to the suggestions desired by the OP are intended so that the OP can draw the best conclusions to do. All suggestions given are not coercive.
Try to read one by one the suggestions we provide.

If you think you can't invest according to people's words, what should be the good thing to do while the person asking has no knowledge about investing.
If the position of the party asking is you, can you make an investment without the slightest knowledge?

As far as I'm concerned you should listen to the advice of others but also do your own research and information on the crypto currency market. Complete information is very important before investing in any platform, and one should never make hasty decisions while investing. Different people have different opinions, so what you think is best may not be important to someone else.

However, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the best choices for long-term investments. By the way, the crypto currency market is considered very risky, but Bitcoin is considered the most secure of all crypto currencies. Apart from Bitcoin, there are various low-value crypto currencies in the market. Which have the potential to give a good profit in future, but the condition is that your choice is right. If you are still having trouble finding good projects, you can choose different coins from the top 100coins of the crypto currency market.

As a lot of members have already shared their opinions you should not trust anyone with your money in the crypto industry. Because the crypto sphere has too many loopholes that a scammer and hacker will use to loot your money and you will be left with nothing at the age of retirement and this will be so terrifying.

So, my suggestion is the same, if you haven't any time to learn the basics of crypto and you just want to go abruptly into crypto for investing then you should drop the idea and should invest in another entity about which you have atleast a basic idea.

So that, you would not be scammed by anyone. Or maybe you are just wasting time of all of us by making false statements about yourself as i can see you are not that much active here too.

To be honest it's hard to take you seriously because all what you are saying doesn't make any sense:
- Why would you tell on a public forum you have $20k (theoretically) to invest?
- Why would you tell you know nothing and you don't care about learning?
- Why would you ask for help using emails when it's full of scammers?

I don't know what your final goal is but I see a lot of BS here.

Indeed, as many have suspected, I do not believe what he is saying is true, so it makes no sense to advise in these cases. How is a person willing to spend 20 thousand dollars to invest without caring about knowledge and at the same time seek help from people who do not know and will most likely encounter scammers? These basic things even a 5-year-old can understand, few people believe that a 64-year-old with enough life experience can trust someone so easily.

People who behave like this are vulnerable to fraud by others regarding investment trust that is fully entrusted to others, even though they themselves have control over the investment process being carried out. If I don't obscure the purpose of the OP and in my view he is talking about trading robots, so he doesn't need to think about how to invest using manual strategies because using trading robots has been arranged by the creator, while we will only see the process without having to think about things -other thing.

But the problem is when this is done they end up getting caught in a ponzi scheme. In my country, almost five cases occurred in the last year because many people were deceived by promises of big returns without having to think about trading patterns. The mistake of people who don't want to learn to understand the investment and trading process because of the desire to get quick profits without going through any process.

These basic things even a 5-year-old can understand, few people believe that a 64-year-old with enough life experience can trust someone so easily.
Not everyone can think the same about investing and most people are trapped with irrelevant promises because of the tendency for people to think they can make big profits from investments. In fact, investing is not as easy as one might imagine, apart from fluctuating prices and psychological self-control is also very influential in it.

It is not too late  i think you still have time to study crypto for atleast 1 to 2 years to familiarize it, don't rush things it is safe yo study first before making a decision don't trust everyone in crypto you need to be more careful because only you can suffer if you loss in it. Crypto is a good way to earn profit but not all investors are lucky in it some of them also loss,so my advice is do research first for good.

I don’t think you’re ready to take the risk and invest your hard-earned money. Crypto investment is not as easy as you think that you can be profitable in it without the investor’s personal knowledge and experience in crypto market. You should learn the dos and dont’s first and gain adequate knowledge before you decide to invest so you can avoid regretting in the end seeing all your hard-earned money had gone into waste. Furthermore, once you’re ready enough, I suggest to stick with bitcoin and accumulate as much as you can while the price is still cheap. But always remember, as a newbie in crypto, invest with a small budget first since you are still in the process of learning and absorbing everything you need. Let your experience manage the rest.

To make profit from crypto we always need to look in the right direction. If we don't look in the right direction then it will be very difficult for us to make profit in crypto. But I think to trade or invest we need to know and understand this direction well.  Yes. But I don't know if one can ever make a profit if he trades with a wrong decision. But I think wrong decision will bring great danger for us.

It would be completely wrong for you to do so. Because you are looking to invest based on the advice of a stranger. Now what do you do if that person is a scammer and you lost your money by investing in the wrong place as he said? It's time for you to retire, and have you ever thought how difficult your situation would be if your hard-earned money is lost due to misplaced investments before retirement? But one suggestion I can give you is to invest in Bitcoin, which is the best choice of every investor. You can invest in Bitcoin. It can benefit you a lot. Because the price of Bitcoin will start to increase in a few days. And it will become the new ATH. But don't invest in Bitcoin just based on my words. Because all investments have risky. Do yourself some research about investing in Bitcoin and then invest. This will reduce the risk of your investment.

I would recommend you to invest half of your money into Bitcoin but before investing into it you should learn more about Bitcoin investment and how one can securely buy and hold his/her coins without any problems. I have seen many people who invested in Bitcoin without any proper knowledge about Bitcoin wallets or I must say cold wallets, and in the process those people had to face huge losses because of their own inpatient nature.

If you truly want to have a better investment for your future then you should go with Bitcoin only, and never ever invest in a alternative coin if you want to be on the safe side. As a simple rule, you must first get yourself educated about Bitcoin investment so that you may never face any hard times like those people who invested in it without properly getting educated about it.

I recommend you to learn about Bitcoin wallets, and also about private keys, seed phrases, and finally about the steps to secure your wallet from any known vulnerabilities of operating system software or human error. In order to do that you must have to begin with a very low amount of investment just for learning the wallets and all those other things.

I recommend you to begin with just $10 investment for the sake of learning and mastering those software based wallets, and other functions of a Bitcoin wallet like privacy of your private key and seed phrase so that no malicious person can ever be able to transfer the funds from your wallet to their own wallets.

Knowledge about Bitcoin investment is a necessary thing and that's why you must learn about it properly and once you are sure that you have enough knowledge about Bitcoin and the wallets then and only then you should invest your money in Bitcoin and secure your asset in a cold wallet. A cold wallet is simply a software wallet that isn't connected to internet. You should learn those things first, and I hope that your investment will give you better rewards in future. Best of luck.

Since you are Newbie you don't have much knowledge about crypto. And the way you seek help can put you in danger at any time. Because your amount of money is definitely high, many scammers can advise you to invest in different ways. I think you should first gather basic knowledge about cryptocurrency and then you can prepare for investment. But even if you are more motivated to invest then you can decide to invest in Bitcoin. I would never recommend to take risk investing in any other coin.

We have to be careful how we exposed ourselves on the internet, we have different kind of individuals who're scammers looking for their next victims and if we don't protect ourselves we'll become the victims. We have to stop bragging online and when we want to ask questions, we don't have to be direct with how much we want to invest. This same question could have been asked in a different manner without having to expose how much we want to invest.

At this point the act has already be done, you have to protect yourself because scammers will be coming for your money in your DM and if you posted other ways to contact you on the forum like your email, social media, ignore investment advice coming in from there.

In all things, safety must come first. The loss might be devastating if your private keys or seed phrases were leaked. This is the equivalent of putting your house keys under the doormat and expecting nothing to happen.

Here's where I might disagree with you though: while Bitcoin is undeniably a robust alternative, I feel we should be careful about adopting a one-coin strategy. Although it could pay off, putting all your eggs in one basket is risky business. Because of the sheer size and fluidity of the crypto space, firm conclusions cannot be made. Any discussion of relying exclusively on Bitcoin causes mental dissonance in me. Although Bitcoin has a track record of providing favourable returns, the cryptocurrency industry is dynamic and several altcoins hold substantial promise. The ability to think critically while remaining open to new ideas is essential. The crypto path includes this tango with ambiguity.

It's great that you're considering cryptocurrency as a potential investment for your retirement. Given your age and the desire for simplicity, I'd recommend a conservative approach.

Firstly, it's important to understand that cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, so it's essential to prioritize stability over high returns. Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are considered relatively safer choices among cryptocurrencies.

For convenience and simplicity, you might consider a reputable crypto payment gateway like Coinremitter. https://coinremitter.com/?utm_source=rep&utm_medium=bitcointalks allows you to securely store and transact with your chosen cryptocurrencies. While I can't provide specific investment advice, you can use Coinremitter to manage your crypto assets easily, which can be a convenient way to navigate the crypto space without diving into its complexities.

However, it's crucial to diversify your investments. You might consider a mix of traditional assets like bonds and stocks alongside a small allocation to cryptocurrencies. A financial advisor can help tailor this to your specific needs and risk tolerance.

Lastly, be wary of potential scams and only use trusted services. Research thoroughly, and if you decide to contact Coinremitter, ensure that it's through official channels to avoid any fraudulent schemes.

Good luck with your investment journey, and I hope this advice helps you make informed decisions for your retirement.

Congratulations on your retirement, anyways I would advice you to be very careful with what you’re doing regarding crypto currency in particular. It’s good that you invest in crypto but you have to do a well grounded research before opting in for any crypto to invest in. Make sure you choose a good CEX for any investment you want to make.

At that age, I don't think it's necessary to PM you privately. The advice you can read here in this section that you think is for the betterment of the money you get, the most correct and best for me, so you don't have to worry about trading, is to hold it for a few years or long-term, and all you buy is Bitcoin.

So that you don't have a headache, that's all you buy. No matter what others say, you should not try another cryptocurrency just in case you just focus on long-term Bitcoin investment.

My first advice is for you to do enough research on the crypto space in general. After that make sure you choose a good exchange that will be beneficial to you as a newbie for example Bitget exchange introduces copy trading just to help newbies make profit. Make sure you know when to buy and when to sell, then you learn more as you move forward.

But if you want to learn cryptocurrency at your age, you can still achieve the knowledge and it will make it easy for you to know quality wallet to download to store the coins of your choice because, there are some wallet you will use to store your BTC that will attract scammers to have way to your BTC and it will make you to feel bad about BTC investment and you will never allow people around you to invest in BTC again.

That amount you want to use to invest in BTC is a big amount and, I will advise you to wait for bear season to come before you can invest the money because the bull season is on ground, which is the best season to accumulate profits.

We don't give financial advise here but all you have to do is to give you opinions on how you could make money from the crypto market but that should not be seen as financial advise. You would have to give yourself that financial advice after you have read several opinions here that suit your interest in how you could make money from the crypto market.

There are people who had taken a bold step before now seeing the price of Bitcoin at $61k now, deciding to buy Bitcoin when the price was still below $40k plus. We can see that the price of Bitcoin has gone with a huge momentum and that should not make you to invest in Bitcoin. You need to take that decision on your own and remember that the crypto market is very volatile and you could lose money if you invested in the wrong place.

I can't judge you for real, but your first appearance looks really suspicious, and anyone who read the op would probably think that you are just an altcoin or someone trying to catch some fun, because this is what most users post when it's an alt account. And I don't think at that age range learning about crypto would be very difficult, beside you could just stick to Bitcoin as it's a reputable coin and try keeping your identity and some useful personal information anonymous, because you never know who's watching you. Ensure to keep your seed phrase safe and written in paper our you could buy a hardware wallet.

When we are specifying about our investments and ask others for their advice be careful we are also summoning hackers and scammers your dm or email with those fake investment plans giving you best deals which you may find attractive but in the end you will loose money that you plan to save for your retirement. You should invest based on your wisdom not asking directly where to invest as this is risky market so you need to be extra careful.
Most times it is not even good to seek for advice concerning investment from the general public because everyone has something to say about it even if they have no idea about what they are saying.  I think as one who have something in mind to invest, if you don't know much  about what you want to go into, it is important to try your best to make research to know more about it because inviting strange people to seek advice from them is dangerous,  some can even what they scam you.

It is true that everyone has different investment plans and to be able to imitate other people's ways of making profits is not something that will probably work for us because what other people do will not necessarily be suitable for us to imitate and it would be very good for us to have knowledge about investment. and if other people give advice, we can still combine it with the knowledge we have so that it doesn't make the wrong decision in investing.

I agree with what you say, asking for advice from strangers is not the right choice for the investments we make and this concerns finances, it is possible that the people we invite will take advantage of this opportunity for their own benefit.

This is why it would really be always best that we should really be making our own methods and ways for us to deal up with the market rather than making yourself that being a fan on following someone.
In speaking about personal progress or development as a trader then you wont really be making out such movement just because you are really that too reliant into those people on which you shouldnt have done this thing
because you woudl really be able to experience those loses and you wont really be making yourself that a better trader. As a noob then learning would really be something a never ending.
Dont stop even if you are really that able to experience tons of loses because those are stepping stones on making yourself that way more better as a trader.

This is why it would really be always best on having that kind of adjustments and versatility on such condition because this is where people do really have those kind of mistakes on the time
that they would really be having that kind of challenges and they cant be able to bare up with the risks.

Glad I invested when I did thank you guys for the help.

I'm strongly suspicious about you OP cause in all your post on this forum you have been looking for someone to chat you up on your email even tho I assume that you should try to be security alert that some scammers could reply you and your reply here just would so ridiculous, a while ago you were looking for tips and now your saying that your happy you invested when you did and that was when before or after making this thread, I guess whatever purpose you aimed for been here did not work so a quick exit was your best choice, you didn't even say something reasonable to all the advice except I agree.
