It seems none is watching Liverpool's friendly against Monaco except me  Grin. I feel so good to see Iraola's tactic is starting to work in this game. although their backine is a bit on the edge most of times, but they can also move the ball so quickly to the upfront once they won it back.
I see koumas can settle to the Iraola's tactic as well as Grav. I also see Gakpo is doing pretty good here, and i'm starting to think Liverpool may start to chance their stance on him to not to sell him.

So far Wirtz also has good half by creating everything in the club. Nvertheles it feels a bit weird to miss Salah's face from this club because how iconic he was for Liverpool, but life must go on. hehe.
It's interesting to see what rotiation will be doing by Iraola at 2nd half.

The first half is quite impressive, but i hope they can do better at the 2nd half. I'm watching this on youtube for free.

Nah you were not the only one watching, I had it on too. In fact, the quality of the stream on YouTube was pretty good, which is unusual for these pre-season events.

The outcome is really not important AND somewhat is important? On the other hand it is a friendly and half the side are not even fit or back from the World Cup. Mac Allister was not even back in the country yet. Van Dijk played like 45 minutes max. You are not getting real data from that. But on the other hand, the pattern of collapsing after 60 minutes is now two games in a row.

I really did like the speed of the transitions, though. It was so controlled, so backwards, under Slot last season. Almost boring at times if I am being honest. Iraola is getting them to move forward, to really play with purpose when they gain possession. Gravenberch was a totally different player in the pressing game. Actually, Koumas surprised me as well. Did not expect him to look that comfortable.

But half of Liverpool's strength is physically unable to play 90 minutes right now after their World Cup final summer. Araujo just arrived from Barca and has not been integrated yet. Bradley is injured, Leoni is out for months.

For so many years now Arsenal had great opportunities to become champions of England but failed to capitalize on the opportunities they had but always joke with the opportunities at there hand but where very lucky last season.
I know many will be asking why I used the word lucky. Last season they almost lost it if not for the lack of consistency Manchester City had lately last season.
If the Manchester City or United of this coming season where same last season, Arsenal won't have made it to the top the same way they did.
Of the coming season? You seem to be saying that both Manchester City and Manchester United are likely to make it hard for a team like Arsenal which by the way also still has very good players playing for them will not be able come out on top the the premier league this season, I do think that Arsenal might not be as advantaged as the were last season but I don't think Man United especially has enough to give Arsenal a run for their money yet.
I don't think we should argue about Arsenal facing a lot of challenges in the coming season, take a look at last season, Liverpool was not in a good form you still, Chelsea also was not in a better form and Manchester United were just battling to recover from their losses, we all knew already that Manchester City are still in their best performance even though not powerful as the previous season.

This coming season is definitely going to be a big challenge for arsenal, because all the top teams are ready to be among the contender for the title, most especially Manchester United that recovered rapidly since last season with the assistance of their current coach which no one believe in him when he came. I consider Manchester United to be among the top contender because they have good players and they are ready to defend their self this time around.
I agree with you. First of all, when it comes to Liverpool, they are still unpredictable. They don't know when they played well and when they played badly last season. We will know where Liverpool's position could be once the season starts. Arsenal will face a lot more challenges this time. Because this time some clubs are in good form. In most seasons we see one or two teams in good form. But this time almost most teams have good players, and they are all in top form in their respective positions. Manchester United and Manchester City will be the biggest challenges for Arsenal. So, if Arsenal leaves any match with weakness, then they will be left with a big gap later. This season is going to be much more exciting.
One thing I'm certain is this season English premier League will be fierce with the look of things, for now every fans believes their team is the favorite for the English premier League title this season but deep down the winner is still a mystery, now Pep Guardiola is out it's an open field, who ever plays the best will win it, for now I can't really predict the outcome because the season is yet to start, but with the look of things I think Liverpool will be one of the heavy contenders for the title followed by Manchester United and Arsenal.

I'm surprised that no one here has mentioned it. Jeff Bezos is reportedly set to become a partner in Liverpool. An investment consortium that includes him will acquire one-third of the club. Liverpool is already a wealthy club, with this move they'll have an even larger budget.

On one hand, I don't like the fact that football is becoming a toy for the ultra rich, on the other hand we have to accept it because it's helping the football market grow even further. Should every sport be industrialized? Maybe not, but that's why the whole world watches football and people care a lot about it.

I read about it and it’s said he would be acquiring about 30% of stakes valued around $6 billion or £4.5 billion. It would be Jeff Bezos first measure investment in a football club and in as much as more funding can come to the club, it would take a good manager to see that transform into something impressive on the league table. The deal still has to go through first though and despite Liverpool’s performance in these preseason friendlies, they are not very convincing yet.

The first half is quite impressive, but i hope they can do better at the 2nd half. I'm watching this on youtube for free.

So far, people have not been paying too much attention on the ongoing preseason friendlies, it hasn’t entirely been favourable to most bettors. Big teams don’t just giving away wins or draws is one thing.
Today I saw that Manchester City won Atletico Madrid 3:1 with Omar Marmoush scoring a brace and with the speculations surrounding his time at City even his coach isn’t confident with him, I believe he deserves to remain at City he’ll be a valuable asset to deploy anytime.
Liverpool ended up losing this game 3:2 to Monaco, Chelsea played a 3:3 against Johor. Not the results we all expected.
Friendlies are not that good for the betting purpose, but it give us a small insight about how good or bad the depth of the team. From the games you mentioned, Liverpool is obviously the one who give me disappointment to my expectation.
You know City played with their 2nd team, they win. While Chelsea also deployed all of their 2nd team players, so no disappointment when they got a draw against a weak club.

However, it's different feeling when it comes to the Liverpool. Their team is not depth enough. When they made the changes, their team performance has been dropping a lot. So this obviously telling how they is still lacking of something compared to the City to be one of main rival in title chaser.
Even Iraola has admitted it in his interview. So he takes this game seriously as an insight what thing that needs to be solved.

I have been watching Liverpool club with their pattern of football lately last season and to be honest with Liverpool club, these their parttern of football is not favourable to the club, let us keep aside that Liverpool vs Leeds match is a friendly match, if a club is good is good and if a club is not good is not good, I'm afraid if Liverpool start with the same parttern of football in this coming season, i don't know if they will actually end up with good position in premier League or that of the champions League and the reason why I'm not concluding with feeling on Liverpool parttern of football, is because the league is yet to start and I'm yet to see the real Liverpool performances, then i still reserve comments on till the preimer League season starts.

Have you been watching Man United recent matches, I doubt you have..Did you watch Manchester United vs ATM...Did you as well watch Manchester United last match with PSG or did you just come here to use Man United previous performance to judge their present and future matches..Weren't you also surprised by the fact that the current Champion League victors couldn't even beat Man United... The truth here is that Man United has been on fire since Michael Carrick came along...They now play in an entirely new level, they now find it very easy to create goal scoring chances, which is always been utilized effectively..That African scoring machine Mbeumo is really killing it there in Man United..This kind of team is definitely gonna be a threat even for Arsenal...If Arsenal really value defending their last season victory, they should try improving their defense too, they shouldn't just be focusing on their attack..At least they have someone like Bruno and Rice in the midfield, that should count as something..
You are talking about matches that do not matter in the grand scheme of things, and you expect me to use that to judge their current performance level, there is really nothing for me to say until the league actually starts then we'd know if Manchester United is in an shape to be among the top contenders but until then this whole argument about how good there are based of the few last games they played is more or less pointless.

I'm just pointing out that $6 billion or £4.5 billion is not the price of a 30% stake. To my knowledge, this is probably the approximate total value of Liverpool, I may have read something like that. Again, it's not that Jeff Bezos is buying 30% of Liverpool alone. Rather, Jeff Bezos and a few others or groups will pay £1.35 billion for 30%. However, I'm not denying that if this is completed, it will be Bezos' first ownership investment in football. However, @JiiBs, many of the parts you said do not match the news. So did I misread or did you say something wrong?

Micheal carrick took Manchester united to their old glory like those days he was still in Manchester united as a player, Manchester united ended last season champagne with a better performance and they have also been impressive in this current pre-season matches. One thing i also believe is that Manchester united is also going to do well this season even better than last season because if they had started the way they ended the season i believe they would have been the team to win the English premier league title, I also believe that Manchester united will be a major contender for the up coming premier league title i can't wait to start watching good football again.

I so much believe in Carrick that he will surprise the world this season with his men. He is starting the season and has a lot of time to win as many matches as he can in order to top the table. Arsenal isn't a threat to United at all.

Manchester United has finally gotten the perfect coach that will make the team start winning trophies again. However, it took them a long time to fix this.
