Chelsea might not have won by luck but it was a tough game overall. Even though Chelsea won by clean sheet they were under high duress while playing. I won't call it luck but Everton made them play everything the know and it played out to their favor.  The stat was in favor of Chelsea but the margin wasn't that wide but I will say Chelsea played a nice game even as visitors to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
You're right, that match was a very tough on for Chelsea to handle. I watched the match very well because Everton haven't lost any match since the beginning of the season, and we've known them to be a stubborn club. Chelsea didn't that match by luck, they put all their best on that field trying to overcome Everton yet Everton was also trying their own best too. Even they almost scored Chelsea in first half of the match but Chelsea defended very well which we saw the first half ended draw.it was on first minutes of the second half that Chelsea took the lead and later won the match by 0-2 congrats to Chelsea for keeping a clean sheet from away match.
Everton games against us are often a tough one and I myself is often scared of them, they could defend so well and then have to get a goal to seal a win or tie against us.

Against Chelsea Everton seems to ve at their best after the kind of performance they show against their top rival, Liverpool. I was impressed we could keep a cleansheet even after the early injury of Martinez, and I'm still thinking how well we can keep up without him.

Chelsea just did enough to get a win, but their style of play was not that convincing. Everton held them by the throat almost throughout the first half, not until the goal came a few seconds into the second half. The game was not that intense, Chelsea defended in most of the second half and even the second goal came towards the end of the 90th minute. I guess one good thing came out of it, which was the clean sheet because it has been a while since Chelsea kept a clean sheet in their Premier League games.

Chelsea is improving very well in their performances as some of their key players return from Injury. Caicedo was back and played a key role in these recent victories, alongside Henderson. James is back as well, so we expect better results from the blues. Chelsea Attackers were very smart to leverage on Everton slight errors. P.Neto scored twice from rebounds, it looked easy, but you've to be a clinical finisher to score from those tight corners.

Manchester united is what is going from bad to worse. Their latest outing against Como confirms that the team is heading down the drain. I don't know who to blame the more, the coach running out of tactics or the players never doing well.
Pedro Neto's performance was truly outstanding. He scored two goals against Everton and played a major role in Chelsea's victory. However, if you watch the match again, you will understand that both goals did not come from rebounds. He scored the first goal within 1 minute of the second half. Then Jorrel Hato attacked from the left and sent the ball, Neto controlled it and scored. The second goal came after Jordan Henderson's free-kick bounced off the opponent's wall. However, Chelsea's defense also played well in that match. Everton managed to take only 6 shots in the whole match. But they could not use them. In that match, Chelsea not only scored goals but also prevented the opponent from creating dangerous chances.

Playing good or not the most important thing is they won with clean sheet, and that's their first clean sheet of the season, so it's all good for them, you know sometime coaches change tactics, they will let their opponent do the playing, while they aim at the winning, and I believe that's exactly what Xabi Alonso did, he let Everton to dominate the game with possession, while he aim at the scoring and the clean sheet, and it worked for him, that game I didn't see Everton play anything surprising to me, because Chelsea's last few games they actually played good.

It is unbelievable that Chelsea deliberately gave Everton control of the match. Because Chelsea were ahead in possession. Chelsea played a very good match. In that match, Chelsea took 18 shots in the whole match while Everton could only take 6 shots. So when someone says Chelsea deliberately gave Everton control of the match, I will assume that they did not watch the match well. Especially Chelsea took the lead when Pedro Neto scored at the beginning of the second half. After that, Everton tried to come back in the match but could not create many dangerous chances. But now it is to be seen whether Chelsea can maintain such performance against strong teams in the future. Because this was their first Premier League clean sheet of the season against Everton.

Everton is a very tough team to beat, they also have an experienced manager with lot of tactics, so any team playing against them should expect more. Chelsea played well against Everton, they had lots of chances, but the Everton attack stood firm. Finally Pedro Neto struck twice to seal the win for Chelsea.

Chelsea has Tottenham to play next, and I will be expecting them to win the game. Tottenham didn't have a good start this season, but they performed well in their previous game which ended as a win, maybe they have finally found their feet who knows. I will not term the game as an easy one for Chelsea, because it's a derby, I am just anticipating a win for Chelsea due to their recent form. Chelsea has a decent squad to qualify for UCL next season, they might even compete for the title.

Despite their consistency and maintenance of their current form, it will be very difficult for them to qualify in the forth coming champions league because the teams fighting for that same position appears more promising than they maybe.
Currently now they occupied the fourth position with 13 points after 7 games while Liverpool sits at the fifth position with 12 points after 7 games also but the probability of Liverpool overtaking them is sure and certain so its of no importance hoping on Chelsea getting up the ladder now that other teams are interested in that same ladder.

Of course the situation can still change, the season is just getting started so anything can happen but because it happened last season we shouldn't expect the same to happen. Carrick came at the middle of last season and changed the narrative so what happened that he can't continue the way he did last season. The only way I think we can see some changes is when Carrick is sacked and replaced by someone better.

Carrick staying is not the problem, the problem is can he elevate this team to where they want it to be? I doubt that. He did well by making it possible for them to qualify for the champions league but this season he is not doing well and if he doesn't improve then they will be forced to sack him.

Facing Bournemouth is another tough fixtures for Carrick. Bournemouth are struggling for now too but they are capable of harming United. Let's watch and see how Carrick performs here.

What really did change from the way he managed the team last season, winning games and turning things around when it looked bleak? Like you also noted, the situation can still change as the season is still young. But I don't see Carrick being removed as the only way we could see some improvement in their performance. Obviously, the manager is certain to take the brunt of the teams current misfortunes, I hope he's given some time to try and up his game as I still think he can do the job.
I really do hope they'll have a win in their next game against Bournemouth. It could be motivating.
