I think Arsenal not having that sharp striker could be the reason why they always fail to get the trophy.  Manchester City has a very good striker like Haaland and scoring goals is not always difficult for him, in every match it is possible for him to score a goal. I think if Arsenal have good striker that have the same quality and strength of Haaland it will be very easy for arsenal to win Premier league.

The recent games of arsenal they struggle so much to score goal and I think it is even getting obvious that have not been able to maintain a good position in the league. Arsenal is a good team when it comes to performance but they are lacking something that's why they can't stand the strength of Manchester City.
They have Jesus, but it's clear that he is not enough at all, they need someone better. A technical striker is rarely a good sign for a premier league team, maybe if Jesus was at la liga, he could have done better, because technical strikers there make a lot of money and score bunch of goals. But here? At premier league? Better method would be focusing on higher strength, people like Haaland score a lot of goals because that is the type of striker that works for Premier league in general.

Obviously Arsenal can't find one right away, but I suggest Sorloth a few years back to them, imagine if they had Sorloth, they could have done better and he would have scored a lot more goals for them than Jesus ever could. The main reason why players like that make better results is because they can stay up, having power means you can stay up, technical players are brought down a lot more, and fouls are called a lot less here, so you need strong players.

I saw this post on the Premier League’s official Instagram page. The caption was ‘so much cab change in a year’. At first I thought it was a roast at Manchester City since they were number 1 last season and now are struggling between games to keep their position at number 2 on the table. But more interesting is that Arsenal didn’t really change, they maintained the same spot. And Manchester United have dropped drastically this year, from 8th on the table last year to 13th on the table. Which other team caught your eye?
For Arsenal it has become their habit to return with declining performance, even this season is too fast compared to last season. Arteta has fought hard to give his best but unfortunately the mental problems of the players at Arsenal prove that his players are not so inspired by the champion mentality. Arsenal repeats the momentum that is not much different every season where at the beginning of the season they insist on performing optimally and slipping at the end, everything becomes more interesting when Liverpool returns to the hunt for the championship title.

Arsenal winning the premier league trophy is now like the camel entering the eye of a needle that shows that it is very impossible for them to actually win, no one will even argue that arsenal is not strong but it's as if their faith is to be among a partner position and they are finding it very hard to win anything after all the effort they put in is now that they want to get serious to win the trophy, instead of arsenal going for defender they would have just focus on getting strikers for the club, and even aside buying strikers they should have strikers from the academy why not select from there or arteta feels that they are incompetent and he would have just given them the benefit of doubt.

For years now arsenal have been struggling forget the fact that I don't like them they will even try everything but it is not worth it at the end of the day one boy thay I enjoy is football is not more than saka if he can get a support then arsenal might get better, they need a lot of arrangements for them to be able to bring arsenal back to its form.
At this point I think Arsenal are just contenders for the top 4 finish. And if they continue with this type of pattern then even the top 4 will not even be guaranteed again. Arsenal fans will be very sad to see their team lose another  trophy race this season. I think the fans should have gotten used to the disappointments. Arsenal to me hasn't really made any significant progress they have just been circling around all this years in the Premier League. They haven't really showed that they have what it takes to compete at the highest level in both EPL and the UCL respectively.

And Manchester United have dropped drastically this year, from 8th on the table last year to 13th on the table. Which other team caught your eye?
In my opinion, Man City's performance in the 11 matches they have played so far cannot be said to have decreased drastically because they are still in 2nd place and maybe sooner or later they will soon catch up with Liverpool, besides the performance of Man City and Arsenal, there are Chelsea and Notthingham Forest who have caught my attention at this time because they have made rapid progress even though they have only played 11 matches so far and there is also Tottenham Hotspur who have actually experienced a drastic decline this season, last season they were in 2nd place now they are in 10th place.
Nothing always goes smoothly for every team, and Manchester City may be in a slump right now, but things will improve soon as it happens to all teams. And as we know many Manchester City players are injured which makes them decline, but I don't believe that because Manchester City always have good backup players and also have almost the same quality if there are good players who are injured. It is true what you said Manchester City are still in second place in the standings and that is a good thing, and if Manchester City make changes they will be far behind Liverpool who are currently in good form and are at the top of the standings, and being 5 points behind is not an easy thing for Manchester City especially if Liverpool can maintain or improve their performance.
And for me among the others, the most surprising one is Notthingham Forest and this is a dark horse to watch out for.

Anyways, every team get out of form sometimes. I'm curious about whether Guardiola will still win the league title another time despite these hard times. What do you think, Liverpool or Manchester City?  Huh

I've been watching PL for a long time now and it seems to have its own patterns. Any team that plays dominantly until the middle of the season has a very good chance of winning the league title. Based on the current case study in the PL standings, I personally think Liverpool has a better chance of winning. BTW, talking about the standings, why is no one talking about Nottingham Forest? They have been great so far.

This season, Arsenal's illness has relapsed more quickly than expected, Arsenal has started to lag behind Liverpool who currently still dominate the standings. The performance is very different from the previous two seasons, even though Arsenal were very active in the transfer market last summer, but it did not help much. I also think Arsenal's declining performance is due to mental factors, even though Arteta has fought hard to make Arsenal a team capable of maintaining competition in the title race, but they always fail at the end of the season. This time their target is very far from expectations, at least they must try to finish in the top four so they can appear in the UCL next season.

They haven't really showed that they have what it takes to compete at the highest level in both EPL and the UCL respectively.
I also agree with you, it seems that Arsenal's hopes of competing for the EPL trophy can be said to have failed considering Arsenal's performance is back in the spotlight after they failed to show their best performance which resulted in them being nine points behind the first rank, maybe their target this season is to be in the top 4. Liverpool this season is very strong, if they can be consistent they can win the trophy from Man City this season especially Man City is having serious problems after experiencing four consecutive defeats.

Arsenal's poor performance record due to the effectiveness of the attack seems to be a big problem for the arena, although they create many opportunities but Arsenal sometimes cannot make the most of their opportunities and instead have difficulty scoring goals at the end of the match. Actually if you think about it Arteta never learns from his mistakes, From last season the problem is still the same which is needing a pure striker. But what can you do, every time the player transfer is opened Arteta never seriously looks at the striker.

I'm really satisfied with seeing Chelsea in 3rd place for now. Because I have really missed to see them being more competitive in the PL. However I can't say they have been doing pretty good on the recent weeks. 3 draws and 1 lose in the last 5 games...  Sad  This is really worrying as a Chelsea fan here.

All of those games were tough ones though. But you just can't make an excuse for those poor results anyway. It looks like they still struggle in big games which keeps them away from the PL title race.

BTW, talking about the standings, why is no one talking about Nottingham Forest? They have been great so far.

I'm also surprised with that. Nottingham are like reborn these days. This performance is promising for a European competition ticket but I know it is still early to talk about such things.  Smiley

Chelsea have really had a tough time in their last 5 games, and the most unfortunate thing is that they failed to get full points when they played against Nottingham Forest. I know that Nottingham Forest have been quite impressive so far, but Chelsea have the advantage of playing at home in that match. If only they had better effectiveness I think they would have won that match.

BTW, talking about the standings, why is no one talking about Nottingham Forest? They have been great so far.

I'm also surprised with that. Nottingham are like reborn these days. This performance is promising for a European competition ticket but I know it is still early to talk about such things.  Smiley

I have no idea how long they will be able to maintain their good run, but what is clear is that they really know how to surprise. Forest not only managed to hold Chelsea to a draw, but they also managed to beat Liverpool, even though Liverpool was playing at home in that match.

Yes, about the team that has better results than other teams until mid-season, then that team will have a very good chance of getting the trophy. So yes, I will also be able to admit that Liverpool have a chance to get the trophy this season, and also be the first season for Arne Slot with impressive success. About Nottingham, I think a few days ago at least I saw someone discussing Nottingham.

But the point is, as far as I'm concerned the underdogs won't be able to maintain their position in the best position in the table. Because at least, basically they don't have the same good squad depth and thus, it would be possible for them to then decline. But at least, although Nottingham managed to finish in the top zone of the table, but to finish in the top four  I think it will still be difficult for Nottingham.

What I noticed was Nottingham Forest. A very striking sight occurred in the table standings 2023/24 - 2024/25. This is a good progress shown by Nottingham Forest.
Besides Nottingham Forest, Everton is also my concern. If Everton remains like now, maybe they are at the end of the season to fight not to be degraded.
For Liverpool, we always monitor it. The new season Arne Slot is happy but we don't expect much to him.

At this moment, I am not happy with Arsenal as their performances have dropped this season. I was expecting Arsenal to be in greater form than the last two seasons and to try to win the Premier League this season because of more signings. However, with the results they are getting, their chances of winning the Premier League title this season are decreasing as Liverpool continues to increase the points gap between them.

This season should have been a great one for Arsenal, as Manchester City is not in great form. Manchester City has been their biggest problem over the past two seasons, and now that City is not in top form, Arsenal is also messing up and still seems likely to miss this great opportunity. Arsenal needs to be serious; otherwise, it is possible they may not even end up in the top four, especially since other teams are currently so serious.

Arsenal have be unable to accompany anything tangible for their self and after the much struggling they are still unable to win the premier league trophy, everything looks faster than last season and no one expected to see arsenal like this especially their fans and I pity them because with all there confidence of winning the premier league we still have not seen the title in their hand, it is just has if arsenal and is fans are dreaming and the earlier they wake up from that dream because arsenal have been dreaming from a very long time and they will find it hard to bring it to reality, because they keep doing the same thing every season so their is no hope for arsenal again especially for this season.

Arsenal have been on a chase for a long time and I can say fully say that this is the worst season for them and they are struggling really hard, and even the red card affected them a lot and the pattern that arteta came with also reduced their performance.

The performance of the English league teams is quite interesting to see when entering the current international break, although there are still many possibilities for changes to occur after the league resumes, but so far Nottingham is the team that has surprised us the most with their improved performance, they has now shown that they can compete with big teams in the top 4 zone although I doubt if they can be consistent until the end of the season.

Everton, on the other hand, have not changed and learned from the experience of last season, this season they are back to a slow start to the league and if that continues then it seems that the luck to avoid relegation like last season will be difficult for us to see.

Liverpool have shown that the change of coach has actually given them a positive impact, previously many doubted that Slot could bring Liverpool better than Klopp this season, but in the meantime they are able to lead the EPL and also UCL.

While for Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa, it looks like this season they won't be able to repeat what they achieved last season, apart from a significant drop in their consistency at the moment, I think player injuries will be the main factor that prevents them from being better than last season.

Nottingham Forest's temporary achievement this season is indeed good. Their player Chris Wood has scored 8 goals in 11 matches. He performed better than last season which scored 14 goals throughout the season. I'm sure he can still add to his goals. Their game is quite good, they managed to hold Chelsea and Brighton to a draw when playing away, even giving Liverpool their first defeat in 11 matches. Nottingham Forest is developing very well, hopefully, they can maintain it considering the season is still long and many matches might be quite difficult for them.

From the statistics that's provided in the table, Arsenal though didn't have a change their position have had a lesser number of points than Manchester City who were leading the league table after 11 games last season. Arsenal after 11 games last season had 24 points points but have been able to garner 19 after playing same number of games this season while Manchester City who lost one just place from their position of last season have been able to pick 23 points this season as against their 27 points after 11 league games last season.
I think English Premier League this season will be more competitive than it's been on recent years which I think will make it even more interesting.

They've done quite well this season and on their position, Remember I guess Aston Villa if I'm not wrong was somewhere in this type of position they're now last season but when it gets to a particular point in the season, the positions get chosen and then teams will know where they belong to, But It will be interesting to see them finish up in a that position at the end of the season if possible.

The recent games of arsenal they struggle so much to score goal and I think it is even getting obvious that have not been able to maintain a good position in the league. Arsenal is a good team when it comes to performance but they are lacking something that's why they can't stand the strength of Manchester City.

I must say you're correct but then, this same squad won games and scored many goals with this same set of players last season. Its good to see some names back from injury so they can do what they did last season. Again,  the tactics of Mikel Arteta has gradually become too defensive and boring. Maybe were going to see a different Arsenal come next week against Notin Forest at home. Good the club captain is safe and fit for that game.

I don't think that way especially for Manchester City. Talking about performance, it is indeed a surprise that Manchester City continue to achieve unsatisfactory results in the last few matches is like seeing an unexpected situation because Pep has always struggled to keep his defense in the last few matches but when talking about the probability of winning they still remain one of the clubs that make it possible to do so at the end of the season and I am quite sure of that.

The fact that they are sometimes always like this in the middle of the season and can always end well where Pep can always give things that are sometimes difficult to digest makes me believe that they will be able to compete well again and it is not impossible to overtake Liverpool again in the remaining time.  Its only been 11 weeks and that means there are still 27 weeks to go before they finish the season and a 5 point difference in a season that is still very long is nothing for Pep and Manchester City.
Is this a disease that is definitely experienced by Man City? But if you remember again last season, it is not as bad as now, what is more profitable here is that Arsenal also experienced the same thing, unlike last season Arsenal remain consistent and compete with Man City very close, but now the difference in points with Liverpool is 5 points and not bad Quite far, they have to return, don't let Liverpool continue to add more points further.

And what is my friendship is to arrive at the transfer market window in January is still fairly long and this will be a pretty hard task to rebuild the squad when the players are in need of credible players to realize some important positions.
It cannot also be said to be a seasonal disease but it is undeniable that for now even though Pep can mix his squad well when there are no several important players, especially for the midfield, in the last few seasons, especially in the last 2 seasons, they have always experienced problems of decline in performance, especially when there are no KDB and Rodri in their squad and it still cannot be controlled by Pep until now even though he has been looking for new options by bringing Kovavic from Chelsea but the situation has not experienced many significant changes.

As for the problem of this competition, it still looks quite reasonable even though now Liverpool seems to be running alone with a gap of 5 points but with a long schedule especially now that we will only just start in the middle of the season I think this is still very fixable especially 5 points is not something that is actually too worried because they even felt they had a bigger gap 2 seasons ago when Arsenal outperformed even up to 10 points.

Even if that's the case, there still have to be changes made because even though this seems to be catchable but when Pep and Manchester City can't make changes to improve the chaotic performance in recent weeks it will clearly become a more serious problem if left unchecked.

That is correct, people do not realize what they are doing at this point, they think that this will be something that will change a lot but in reality it didn't change at all. City will end up getting better near the end of the season when everyone else gets worse. That's what happened last season as well, we have seen City drop to as low as third, and Arsenal vs Liverpool became the talk for many people, in the end the other two lost and City ended up getting the title again.

Consistency is the key, and just because they lost some games, doesn't mean that City can't figure out a way to replace Rodri and get the win. I believe we are going to end up with a lot better results for them when they are given the chance. Of course this isn't really something that will take a long time, we just need to focus on what kind of recovery they will have and how. Pep is a master coach, he knows what to do and I bet that he will figure out a way that will shock the world.
