How could they lose confidence so quickly in just 11 weeks out of 38?
I'm not sure how they came to that conclusion so quickly, when the Premier League still has 27 games left until the end of the season. Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal or Chelsea can still change before the end of the season, this means that all possibilities are still there.

Removing Manchester City too quickly from a potential title-winning team is not a good decision, I definitely doubt Manchester City will fail this season. Liverpool are certainly still in their best form, but who can guarantee they will stay like this throughout the season? I don't think there is.

It's too early to write off Manchester City from the title chase. They still have all it takes to win this league this season and with the number unplayed they can turn around their lapses. All this insinuations that they are out is because the club has not lost four games in a row since Pep Guardiola became the manager. Maybe people think that he has lost his master touch and their performance will keep depreciating. The next few games will determine how true these speculations will be.

I actually hope that this season we will see a new champion emerge at the end of the season, because after seeing manchester city win 4 times in a row it's starting to get boring in my opinion, so I hope there are other teams be it Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenals or even Aston Villa that can end City's dominance at the end of this season.

Both of us have the same vision this season. I want to see a new champion this season not just in the English Premier League but in French League One. The domination of one club makes the league less exciting to me. Arsenal and Liverpool should step up their games.

I wouldn’t be tooo excited about City losing four games when we still have 27 games to go. Manchester City are far from being out of the title race this season. The truth is that Manchester City under Pep Guardiola is one team you can't actually undermine when they're mathematically not out of the race to win trophy. We've seen them come from behind on some occasions to win the league so coming back from five points that they're currently trailing league leaders Liverpool at the moment is very possible but I also think that they'll face more difficult competition this season than they've never faced in the league of Liverpool continues with their current form. I don't think anyone who knows how lethal Manchester City is would want to write them off but I have a strong feeling they'll not win the league this season

In the most competitive premier league season where anybody can beat anybody, I don't think Man City will win for the fifth consecutive times. Liverpool is a strong rival and the reds wouldn't let this opportunity slide. Also with the likes of Pep and Haaland having interest of leaving the team, winning the cup won't be easy for Cityzens.

At first I thought it was a roast at Manchester City since they were number 1 last season and now are struggling between games to keep their position at number 2 on the table. But more interesting is that Arsenal didn’t really change, they maintained the same spot. And Manchester United have dropped drastically this year, from 8th on the table last year to 13th on the table. Which other team caught your eye?

In my opinion, Man City's performance in the 11 matches they have played so far cannot be said to have decreased drastically because they are still in 2nd place and maybe sooner or later they will soon catch up with Liverpool, besides the performance of Man City and Arsenal, there are Chelsea and Notthingham Forest who have caught my attention at this time because they have made rapid progress even though they have only played 11 matches so far and there is also Tottenham Hotspur who have actually experienced a drastic decline this season, last season they were in 2nd place now they are in 10th place.

Liverpool's performance in the first 11 games of last season and the points they had are similar to what they have seen this season. However, the biggest proof that Manchester City is not able to perform like last season this season is the points table of this season. Liverpool and Manchester City have played equal number of matches in the Premier League with Liverpool topping the points table with 28 points while Manchester City are second in the points table with 23 points. That is, by playing this small number of matches, a big gap of five points has been created between Manchester City and Liverpool. If Liverpool performs like this until the end of the season, on the contrary, if Manchester City does such a messy performance, it goes without saying that Liverpool's title will be confirmed a few matches before the end of the season.

Liverpool full strength team  is good team and they will play next match against Southampton full strength team. Southampton is not quality team and their past performance is not good and they lose 3 matches out of 5 matches and Liverpool team did not lose any match out of 5 matches. And head to head performance is also one handed  because Liverpool team won 4 matches out of 5 . Man City will play the match against Liverpool  in first Jan . Liverpool is full strength team and it will win this match easily by high margin.Man City full strength team temperament is not good and their most of players are unfit and that's why team lost their good performance and now they are in bad form .

I just don't want to make sure of anything yet. Like he will do much better than Erik ten Hag and so on. Because if you remember, Erik ten Hag was also a really successful manager before signing for Manchester United. He was doing great with Ajax but this change wasn't good for any sides after.

Amorim has also done great things at Sporting. However it is too early to claim he will maintain it in the Premier League as well.

I'm expecting nothing from his, I also do not see him as the new Sir Alex Ferguson for real. This change is good, EtH has not been able to live up to the high expectations although I still feel like he should have been give time. But you need to win games to get time and the players weren't converting chances. It feels like they was already fed up playing and having him as the head manager. Like I said, saw same people who was excited with the EtH appointment criticise him brutally.

I mean when they fired Erik Ten Hag, they didn't really expected to hire the next Sir Alex Ferguson, they know (or at least they should) they are not going to get someone that great ever again, that was a one time thing and doesn't happen to many teams and rarely ever happens, getting two of them, so close to each other would be very unlikely. What they wanted was a manager who would be better than ETH, and would get good results as well. United is a team that should be in top four discussion every year, so even if he keeps the team in the top four every year he is there, then he is a good enough coach. What you expect someone like SAF to win the league time to time, whereas with Amorim, staying in top four would keep him his job and that should be enough. I believe that, they won't do that this year, but they may do that next year and forward.

Of course, the great era of a football team can be over someday. It won't last forever, there should be the time that a football team starts to drop their power gradually. Sure, Man City won't always dominates the EPL competition, this season they looked not as strong as the last season. However, I think they still have a chance to catch Liverpool. It is still in the first half of the season, there are still a lot matches left. So, it is not impossible that the position on the top of EPL table to be changed.

Agree. So far Liverpool could play consistently, solidly, and stronger. However, we need to see how consistent they are. Let's see if Liverpool could keep their good performance until the second half of the season. I am a bit worried that Liverpool will end up the season like Arsenal ever did. Sure, injury problem and internal conflict among the players can be an obstacle, too. So, Liverpool needs to be aware of these potential problems.

I will never forget Ten Hag's great work for Manchester United, but he is not the best to stay in charge for longer. The team never really developed under him and Manchester United found it very difficult to compete and take the title from him at the end of the season. Ten Hag certainly has his own skills, but he is not very good at competing in the Premier League when other coaches such as Pep Guardiola and Arteta are showing greater performance.

Ten Hag left without leaving the best impression for Manchester United, but I respect his work for the team. Next, I hope that Ten Hag can get a greater job with another team, while in the remainder of this season Amorim is expected to be able to improve Manchester United's performance.

I don't have much expectation with him. He is still young and doesn't have enough experience to train a big club to compete in the top premier league. But, if we look at how great coaches form when they beginning train a big club like Manchester United, I am optimistic that Amorim is not like Ten Hag who did not get respect when began on MU. We have to wait what he first step to increase the performance of MU, If he would bring his player from sporting to MU, it will be the same as ten Hag (when he brings Antony from ajax). But, MU that time not so needy a player like that so that it does not run effectively and Ten Hag was made his own mistakes.

Manchester United have always been expecting to hire the next Fergie since he left from the club. they has always been looking for someone who can bring the back to their glory days like what Fergie did. they did it after Fergie decides to retire as a caretaker, but they never find any who closer to the Fergie.

Let's not have high expectations of Amorim. Let's give him time to work and deliver results. Then, we can judge his performance.

The last paragraph of your comment is exactly the same thing I've been saying on this thread and other premier league threads on this forum since Amorim assumed office as the new Manchester united coach.

We see that Manchester united's performance immediately jumped up just the very moment the new coach assumed office, does this show that the other previous coach; Ten Hag was that or this bad?, or perhaps, the football team of Manchester united simply did not like him and always played in a way they would deliberately loose matches as a way to spite Ten Hag and also support the masses cry and demand for his sack?..

Anyways, I agree, lets not start praising the new coach immediately, it's good we give him some quality time to see if he really can maintain and backup the current performance of the man united players with proves later in the future.

In the first 11 matches in the English Premier League, except for one match, Liverpool have not been defeated in any match so far. Liverpool's performance in every match seems to be quite balanced and those who are being played in the positions are performing very well in their respective positions. This season has been relatively easy for Liverpool compared to other seasons as the strongest team in the Premier League, Manchester City, is not performing well this season.

Since Manchester City have not been in good form this season, if Liverpool can finally maintain this consistent performance then I think Liverpool can celebrate winning the title at the end of the season. Liverpool's next match is against Southampton where in this match Liverpool are being put ahead in all directions and of course I think Liverpool will leave the field with a big win in this match.

Yes, everyone respects Ten Hag, he did his best anyway, the pressure of managing a big team is not easy. I feel Erik Ten Hag cares and loves Manchester United. Ten Hag wants to take this club forward, and that's why he left, he felt heartbroken too.

However, I have to say that Manchester United under Ten Hag achieved the worst performance in Premier League history with 8th place in the Premier League last season. Manchester United have failed to improve this season despite investing more than £200m in new signings during the summer. Currently, Ten Hag has remained completely silent after being fired by Manchester United. But Ten Hag is also proud of his achievements here with two trophies and it is clear that he has left history with that.

Manchester City and Liverpool currently have a 5 point gap in the standings and I don't think this is an impossible gap to overcome. Manchester City just needs to improve their performance and wait for Liverpool's mistakes, this will increase the pressure on Liverpool.

People are already losing confidence in Manchester City with the way their performance has dropped, and most people are thinking it’s going to be difficult for Manchester city to bounce back due to injury problem which they are facing, but I will say it’s still early, Manchester City can’t continue performing poorly, and the gap between Manchester City, and Liverpool is still close, it’s not that much that we will think Manchester city won’t be able to cover up, just that Guardiola will have to fix the current problem Manchester City is having early.

I have not lost faith in Man City even though at the beginning of this season Man City's performance declined but it was not without reason, they experienced various problems that made the players' mentality decline such as accusations about FFP and also injury problems but I am sure that over time Pep will fix this problem and restore Man City's best performance.

Ten Hag has left a team that is in a slump at the moment, although his first season was quite impressive but I think it is not enough for a club as big as Manchester United at the moment, during his leadership at Manchester United so far ten hag has only been able to win 2 minor trophies by having spent more than 600 million euros, is he a coach worthy of our applause?
With high expectations and also the status of the Red Devils as a big club in the world, of course the 2 minor trophies won actually mean nothing, because previously Mourinho who was more successful than Ten Hag when coaching Manchester United was also fired although he has won the Europa League trophy, I think the standard of success and being a coach at Manchester United is so great that maybe the honor can only be obtained if they can Restore the glory of the Red Devils like the Ferguson era.

I don't agree with you. Manchester United performed somewhat better in the first season with Ten Hag. Manchester United managed to occupy the third place in the table. And the team qualified for the Champions League. But in the following season we saw Manchester United's bizarre match strategy. Manchester United's performance in the 2023-24 season was completely irregular. Even winning against smaller teams was challenging for Manchester United.

Despite Manchester United's performance being weak and irregular, Ten Hag could not bring any change in Manchester United's match strategy. Even this season, Ten Hag's match strategy was very bad. Ten Hag could not do a good job with Manchester United. Rather, he failed to use Manchester United's players properly. Ten Hag had the opportunity to do a better job with Manchester United. I'm vexed with him because he was too stubborn to use a double man midfield, like I said above,  I no longer want to involve about the past now,  can we just forge ahead already? The new manager will bring a fresh start to Manchester United. And even though it's too early to get hopes high, I am confident he has what it takes to succeed at Manchester United. Whether Erik ten Hag was successful at Ajax before signing for Manchester united, his reign as Manchester united manager has been a disaster for the club though he managed to win the EFL Cup in his first season and in his second season also won the FA cup, his tenure had seen Manchester United play embarrassing football, constantly falling out with his player and making tactical mistakes too.

Now that Ruben amorim will be in charge am sure with his exploits at Sporting and the current form of Manchester United, it shouldn’t be difficult for him. There is a clear difference in the mentality and approach of Amorim and Erik Ten Hag.

Actually, playing 11 matches is not enough to say that Man City cannot perform like last season because Man City's important players were injured at the beginning of this season which caused their performance to decline, on the other hand, Liverpool players are fit and important players have contributed since the beginning of the season, that's what makes Liverpool's performance impressive, just wait when Man City players have recovered and returned to the field, you might see Man City's performance like last season.
