Not sure if we should really consider Aston Villa as title contenders, because this team continues to put up solid performances and along the way beaten some big teams... Should we really put them in the same league as Arsenal and Manchester City because this 10 games unbeaten run keeps going and if they play their cards right they could sneak into the trophy 🏆 room and just win it

Nope, Aston Villa is no title contenders with their level of performance, they wouldn’t be able to hold under pressure. Manchester United is no better team in the EPL but still, they managed to pull up a not so bad performance against Aston Villa.

The first half was phenomenal, several good saves from both goalkeepers until Roger’s curved one in and there after, with a great deal of luck from a loosed ball, Cunha got one in for an equalizer. Too bad they couldn’t hold on and conceived yet another goal to Rogers yet again. Same technique and it was beautiful.

I'm fully rooting on Villa. They have improved at lot compared to the MU. They're good at away and home game. They're also beating Arsenal, and still remain unbeaten until now. So don't forget their opponent is gonna miss so many players(Mbeumo(AFCON), Amad(AFCON), Casemiro(suspend), De ligt, Mazraoui(AFCON) and Meguire, which important players.

It's hard to say no on betting to them due to that so many advantages they get at this moment. Manchester United without Mbeumo is just Bruno FC. It makes sense to take a Villa in this game.

So no draw to happen, but Villa win. 

The national team call-up for the Africa Cup (AFCON) does not really affect Manchester United. The called-up Mbeumo has been less productive both in scoring goals and assists but still remains useful for Manchester United's attack. On the defensive side, there is wing-back Ahmad Diallo. However, I don't think this is a reason to make him the scapegoat for the loss against Aston Villa. What needs to be noted is that Aston Villa has no disruptions at all in their squad for players called up to the national team for the 2025 Africa Cup. Because Guessan, the only player from Africa, specifically from Ivory Coast, was not called up to the national team for this Africa Cup.

Disagreed. Played the game without 8 players core players were really harming MU. They might able to win it if they do that with their full squad. yet I know using their missed player as an excuse won't work, but they still did it well despite the lose. So i still appreciate them by did everything they can use the only available line up.

True, their performance wasn't really solid enough, they played against a team without lots of their core players yet the visitors still dominated them in their home, I think they're just so lucky and should be thankful to Rogers for using those opportunities well. If only Yoro did his task properly maybe his team won't have lost that match, he made Rogers looked like prime Ronaldo. If you noticed, the both goals where defensive errors all thanks to Yoro.

Unai Emery is an experienced coach and his career has connections with many clubs that have "villa" in names like Sevilla, Aston Villa, and Villareal. Premier League in recent seasons become more exciting and competitiveness with massive money investment into non big four clubs like Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur. It partially makes these clubs more competitiveness and challenge biggest clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United for top four positions.

With Emery, Aston Villa have shown better competitiveness recent seasons and this season is a continuation of their quality development with a temporary third position in the league.

While Manchester United that's not playing in Europe competition are struggling to win match and might not finish at top four this season.  I think Manchester United is lacking a good coach, because the current Manchester United squad is better than Aston Villa but Aston Villa is striving with a good coach. I predicted Aston to win the match and they won, I knew Manchester United can't win Aston Villa without Mbeumo,Amad and casimero who are absent.

Ruben Amorim is a potential coach but he is young and has less experience than Unai Emery. With his young age and a longer coach career ahead, Ruben Amoirm has potential of upgrading himself and becoming a better coach. Manchester United also bet on Ruben Amorim growth for their club development as well as ambitious return to highest level in Premier League and Champions League.

Aston Villa is truly very good this season, but the clubs that you posted that it won can still be stopping blocks for the club later, it won them at away but how about the home of the clubs? The clubs will prepare very well for Aston Villa not to win them two times, including Arsenal and Manchester City. Although, it will be good if we see a club like Aston Villa won English Premier League.

Manchester United needs more quality players, look at their players and that of arsenal and Liverpool, how many of their first team players will get into the team of this teams I both mentioned?
The quality of their team is just freaking low bro, aside that, nothing else.

As for Aston Villa, I am not that too surprised by their recent form, besides they have a top coach in charge of the team, but will they be consistent enough to win the league? No if you ask me because I don't think that they have that higher level of consistency to carry it out, so a top four position is more likely for them that winning the title.

Indeed he deserves all the accolades. 11 wins in 17 matches is worth celebrating. Their consistency needs to be studied. I am not considering their game with Manchester United to be a very big deal but the fact they were able to win against Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham sends a strong message ahead of the season. Their next game should be against Chelsea by weekend let's see if they can keep up with the streak.

Well, Arsenal is back on the first position of the table again, and I understand that they have played equal match as of now compared to Manchester City and the point difference is only two, but I don’t think Arsenal will be able to actually play a consistent enough football to actually stay on the first position of the table. In the next match, they are going to face Brighton. They will probably be able to win that match. Since Brighton is on the 9th position of the table and not performing that well. But for Arsenal holding onto the first position of the table and actually winning the English Premier League is something that is always somehow out of reach

I think they are definitely in the title race, they have got the attribute, consistency,  winning big matches and also doing well against the average and lower teams. They are just 3 points away from the top stop, so they deserve to be in the title conversation. I understand that most people will say they can't handle the pressure or they don't have the squad to win it, but let's not forget their consistency, winning straight 10 matches in all competitions is no joke, so I think they are definitely a contender for the title right now, till they prove me otherwise.

It is clear that Aston Villa this season has performed extraordinary everywhere, they can get a chance to be at the top of the standings with abilities like that, he really deserves to be praised for his achievements, beating a big team is not easy, but what is interesting this week in my opinion is that Liverpool has improved themselves again, they have carried out evaluations and direct pressure from management to make the team return to having a winning record, even though in this match against Tottenham because Spurs got a red card, it made things easier for Liverpool, but it can still be said that Arne Slot managed to correct the previous mistake, now they have the same points as Chelsea even though Chelsea's match yesterday only ended with a draw.

I don't think it will be easy to reach the top of the table. Aston Villa have indeed had impressive performances this season, even beating first-place Arsenal and second-place Manchester City. However, that doesn't prove anything if Aston Villa can't maintain consistent performance. I think realistically, even if they can, Aston Villa will probably only compete fiercely for the title, and their chances of winning the title aren't much higher than those of Manchester City and Arsenal.

I think Aston Villa's victory over Manchester United is understandable, as Manchester United hasn't been a strong team this season.

This really doesn't look good for Manchester United. Fernandes has been the most important part of the team for a long time. Especially his recent performances have been superb. But now he might be out for at least a month according to various sources.

By the way I think he might leave the team next summer. You must have heard about his recent statement related to his being hurt with the team's actions against him last summer. Maybe we might see him in Saudi Arabia by the end of this season.

The way Aston Villa is playing this season they can beat Chelsea and other big teams, Aston Villa is having one of their best season ever by beating many team, performing well in both premier league and other competitions, Aston Villa is currently the favourite to win the Europa League this season and they are among the top teams to qualify to Champions League next season.

Aston Villa next game is Chelsea and Arsenal and the game is not going to be easy for Aston Villa but I still believe Aston Villa will fight till the end because they know how to play against big teams, Unai Emery has already studied many Premier League teams which make his team find a way to win big matches, Chelsea and Arsenal have not been their best in their last matches and if they don’t improve their performance they can end up draw the game against Aston Villa.

The lost from yesterday match was something I expected because Aston Villa are very inform this season and they are doing very well they are determine to have the chance to list the Premier League title this season and also to go to the Champions League next season so it will be very hard for a club like Manchester United that is not inform this season to win them let's remember that the same Aston Villa defeated Arsenal so it is very possible for them to even lift the Premier League title if they continue with this form, wonderful performance from Aston Villa and a big congratulation to them for winning Manchester United yesterday. anyone that predicted Manchester United to win just did that because he's one of Manchester United fan, as long as this season is concern i cannot bet on Manchester United.

Agreed, especially in the defence and midfield. To have the rest I decided to take 10‑day break from betting until the New Year, so I didn’t bet on either team in this match, though I had the feeling that Aston Villa would win. Meanwhile, I compiled statistics for my Premier League bets: 36 total bets, 22 won and 14 lost, giving me the win rate of approximately 61%. I hope I can improve in 2026 and reach at least  80% win rate.
