I cannot wait to see how Manchester United would perform in the champions league next season, it's been a long time since they qualified to be in the champions league and I really hope they can do well. Anything Michael carrick is doing is working perfectly at this point. He is the right coach for the team and there is no doubt about that. Manchester United before carrick was a complete disaster but currently they are a threat to teams like arsenal, city and Liverpool.
It was around 2023/2024 season that Manchester United last played in the Champions League, and 2022/2023 Premier League, where they finished in 3rd place, which qualified them for the Champions League.

Now is another time for Manchester United, Carrick used the boys to prove they merit a spot, the ball is now in their court, i will like to see how Manchester United will use it in this Champions League season.

I would say that United did the right thing, and I have seen plenty of times before where players ended up failing medical exam. You do not have to have zero injuries during the medical exam to make a move, in fact you must remember a lot of situations where a player was injured and yet still ended up getting transferred.

The point of medical exam is not to look at the situation at that moment, you can have a broken leg and still get transferred. The point of medical exam is to make sure there isn't anything lingering long term, like if you have something wrong that may be a problem 2 years later, you still may not get it, and that is how the move ends up being made and we should not be really considered a good thing. Probably United found something like that.
Well there is still no clear reason why the move collapsed, not concrete season, some analysts were saying maybe Manchester United later have a rethink and feel they should go for a premier league establish players Instead and that why they bought Santos and Tilemans in a couple of days just to replace the outgoing casimero.

Well getting Tilemans and santos is really a good move for them, one is a young and hungry player and the other is an experience and intelligent player, so I really think they did a good deal.

I know In coming days we will get the main reason why they actually didn’t sign The Atalanta midfielder.

Honestly, it looks like United's medical team saw a major red flag with Ederson's knee after those extra checks, so walking away was 100% the right call. United can't risk another long-term injury disaster, especially with Ugarte out with an ACL.

Pivotting to Santos and Tielemans is an absolute masterclass by INEOS. Getting both for around the price of one top target is very good business. Tielemans brings that proven PL experience United desperately need, and Santos is pure talent. Midfield rebuild actually looks solid for United now!

Man U possess a team strong to be Arsenal's rival this season, but Arteta is on a whole different level, his plans to emulate PSG's playing strategy, should it work, will easily place him ahead of the contending teams in the Premier league, he's done so well at mastering transitional football, and is yet to add to it the emotional maneuvering that Enrique's brought to his game at the finals with Arsenal, If Arteta lays his hands on that playing Fluid he'd have nobody to worry about in the premier league.

Aren't Arsenal being given a bit too much credit? Yes, they finally got over the line. But to me they did not seem like unstoppable champion. They showed their old habit of reducing intensity of the match when the pressure was on. The only difference this time was that Manchester City had an unusually bad season by their own standards. Thats why Arsenal managed to get away with those mistake.

Arsenal aren't good enough, but then, they deserve your accolades for winning the trophy this. There fights for so many seasons has finally paid off and they are celebrating it. For the fact that they won it shows that they were better than every other team.  It will be so better that those who don't appreciate the fact that Arsenal are champions, they should play safe and avoid making speeches that seems not too good. Poeple should really learn to celebrate with those who are joining decision.

I can’t really wait to see how Manchester United will be performing when they playing in both the champions league and premier league, Carrick is going to be having a difficult moment at Manchester United by next season.

Manchester united went through a lot this past few years, there was  a time when I lost confident i thought they will be relegated because their performance was becoming so unbearable as at that time. I think that was during the era of Eric ten hang even before amorim came and we thought he's going to change the club but Nah, though he did well from the very beginning but at some point he started deviating even to a point where they started compering him with Eric ten hang and from his record so far it's obvious that Eric ten hang is much more better than him. But it's of the past now we are looking at Micheal carrick the new manager, though he seem to be a good coach but we would find out this season.

Considering how long it has taken for Manchester United to play in the champions League, I've even forgotten how their playing pattern in the champions League use to be. Manchester United not coming to the champions League regularly is a clean case of how has the might fallen, this is a club that was one of toughest in the champions,  now they struggle tooth and nail to come back to glory days. Carrick can just do his best, he is a coach learning on the job, so let's not expect much from him.

In Manchester United's team now, the only position without perfect option is the midfield and i know the signed payers will fill that gap, since last season they have great challenges dominating the game fully in big matches but I know that gap will be closed and Manchester united will do excellently well in the upcoming season.
With the squad Manchester United is looking up to build i dont think that will be a problem for them because they team i see will do everything possible to stand what so ever that comes there way if they all maintain same spirits as they did last season.
Writing Manchester United off trophy contenders is a very big mistake because if they can do it last season when they lack consistency what then do u think will happen this season that all are ready to show what they are made of

I am not going to be expecting anything spectacular performance from Manchester United in the champions league next season, but a fair performance from them which is not much of expectation or short of expectation can be accepted. They have not participated in the competition for a while now and their manager is also going to be having his debut management in the champions leagues, so I don’t think that they’ll make it to the top but they’ll try and see how far they can go with this while keeping the premier league competition also at concern to finish at the top four. This is a big season for them, and I feel they’re going to entertain us than they’ve in the last season.

I do not see Arsenal as the clear favourites for next season right now. You know any champion team become the main target for everyone. Maresca may not be Guardiola but I would likw to see what he could bring for us this season.
I can agree that Manchester city had a bad season or whatever, but it's very good that you should realize that to be champion of EPL is a very difficult journey the fact that a managed to win it after a long time, I think everything every credit it's all worth it and they deserve it
This Is he a club that have tried over and over again but bottled the league and the finally they get it I will even expect more from them when he comes to celebration.
And and it is logical that's anything that won the previous EPL or champions of whatsoever league are always a favorite for the next season as well.

You can't just take credit away from Arsenal. Sure, City had their issues and dropped points, but Arsenal still had to be consistent enough to actually take advantage of that. Keeping 19 clean sheets isn't a fluke. They finally showed the mental strength to hold on until the end. Now with Pep gone and Maresca taking over City, next season is going to be wide open. Arsenal might not be unstoppable, but as the reigning champions, they are definitely the team to beat.

Manchester City weren't competitive enough despite having the most expensive squad. This was due to Guardiola's making changes in his usual system and transfer strategies too of course.  Tongue

Now he's left the team... Enzo Maresca's vision also resembles to his. But I guess he'd like to make some changes as well to fight Arsenal and potentially other title contenders in a better way.

Elliot Anderson was a wise move for example and we'll see what's next.

I'm expected to see a very excellent performance from them under Carrick, they finish the league in third place with a very excellent performance, I am still confident that those performance are still there and they can also improve it again to make the team solid when playing in any competition.

Carrick shocked everyone when he came and improve Manchester United because majority were saying that the Manchester United end has score, meaning they will not be either recognize as a top team again but a bottom team. Carrick came to stop all that and now they are back again to maintain their position.

If you evaluate the squads by total market value, City isn't far ahead of the other big clubs. Let's say City's total value is estimated at €1.4 billion, while Arsenal's is €1.35 billion, Liverpool is €1.3 billion, Chelsea is €1.25 billion. Even Manchester United is €1.1 billion. So it's all pretty close. Maresca is still very modest on the transfer market, but let's wait until the end of the summer.

The current odds for the league title:

- Arsenal: 2.50
- Manchester City: 3.75
- Liverpool: 6.00

For now Carrick absolutely deserves all the attention on himself... In the end, Manchester United were having really dark days before he came.

They saw the bottom with Amorim and now thanks to Carrick they have resurfaced! I hope they move on like this in the new season as well.  Smiley
MU feels underprice here. I'd rather see them to be priced same as Liverpool. They have a well-built team. They also still use the same coach. They also made Arsenal, which was champion of last season struggled against them. So they can to better with more preparation for the upcoming season.
That's why they should be priced between 5.00 - 6.00.
The bookies used last season performance of every team in the premier league to decide the teams that could possibly win the english premier league which was the reason Arsenal was favored the most to win the english premier league followed by Manchester City, and if we follow the process the bookies used, Manchester United should be ranked above Liverpool and not even same as Liverpool because they did better than Liverpool last season. But i understand why the bookies ranked Liverpool above Manchester United, the reason is they are not convinced with the performance of Manchester United and they believe Manchester United cannot repeat their last season performance next season.

I know this is gonna be a very diferent season for Manchester United because after a few years they are back to champions League and that is no joke despite UEFA gives you a ton of money for playing it you need to have a much longer team squad to have a good rechange of the players before they get too tired, also because of injuries and bookings and i dont know if right now Manchester have that depth squad needed.

This is the first time since five years Michael Carrick will coach Manchester united in the champions league so we don't know what is performance will look like since it has been long time we saw him in the champions league. Considering his performance in 2021 when he was Manchester United caretaker manager I believe Micheal Carrick has a lot in him that we haven't seen yet probably he will reveal them in the champions league. I believe he will do a great job in the champions league next season but my major concern is how he will rotate players, he hasn't bought alot players for next season that's just my worry.

The main question about Manchester United is, can they play as the expected perfromance? Becausse we always thing they are gonna do a good season and when the season start they start to drop points like crazy and another season goes into the bin, we already saw this in the past seasons, this time seems to be diferent and seems like Carrick has now a much better grip on the team and the team trust him but the past experience makes me doubt.
This time around, I’m very optimistic that Manchester United will be able to perform well and compete for the title. The reason is Carrick. My optimism stems from seeing Carrick’s performance last season, when he managed to lift the team out of a slump and secure a spot in the Champions League with a limited roster. Moreover, the management has now begun to trust Carrick, as evidenced by the player signings that align with his preferences.

I'm not too worry and moved about what's going to happen in the Champions League by Manchester United, I want to see what Carrick will do this season to be in better shape in the Premier League. That last season was short, he got escaped from bearing because many people believed that other teams were tired. So this new fresh season is an open floor for other teams that think they don't deserve him, it will clear doubt if they will do well in the Champions League.

I assumed that it's going to be challenging but I don't want to be like I'm a miracle guy, there is no way Manchester United are going far in the Champions League. I can believe for the Premier League if he represent the club like he did last season but Champions League is another place entirely, the first stage, play off, knockout and the main ones which are quarter final and semi final, I don't see Manchester United crossing those lines judging by their last season.

This is the first time I’ve seen a club cancel a transfer once the player has reached the medical exam stage. What Manchester United did was wrong, in my opinion. Yes, even though they want to build a team that can compete next season. But, acting this way could actually cause Atalanta and Ederson to hold a grudge against Manchester United.
This is not the first time that a transfer like this collapses at a late stage. You can just simply use your search tools to find it out, the most recent one I know of was Victor Boniface moving from Bayer Leverkusen to AC Milan which collapsed at the late stages. Personally I commend Manchester United if what they actually find out was true. Agreeing transfer fee and players personally term hasn’t actually seal the deal you still need the player to be in good shape before you complete the deal. This isn’t the first time that Manchester United actually made this kind of transfer with Atlanta, they signed an injured Rasmus Hojlund who throughout his first season at the club was majorly injured with back injury and I think we all know how it ended.

Atlanta can actually have their issues with Manchester United but with the current injury crisis to some of Manchester United current players it will be such a bad business to actually sign a player they think is injured. Both clubs will actually get over it, this isn’t the first time they are doing business to bring a bad blood, the player can go on to have a great season and even possibly get a big move later.
On top of that, what was the expectation from United? Put the player in medical exam, and if he fails, still buy him anyways??? That makes no sense at all and if he is injured or have something that makes United uneasy about getting him, why would they be forced to get him?

There is absolutely no reason to buy the player that may cause a lot of problems for the team, just because "what if player holds a grudge against me??". That makes absolutely no sense at all and United did the right thing if they saw anything wrong at the medical exam.

I like what you said, it seems you’ve been following Manchester United for a long time and you think objectively. The important thing is for management and the fans to be patient with him.
