I agree with you. Manchester United managed to occupy the third place in the table last season. But it is more  difficult for Manchester united to perform well this season. Manchester united will have to  perform well in both the champions league and the premier league platforms. So Carrick will have to strengthen  the squad. If the squad can not be strengthened, then it will be very difficult to do well in two  competitive platforms. Carrick is a talented and clever manager , no doubt about it. It's true that Michael Carrick did well after taking over the Manchester United job last season, and people really expect him to do well in the upcoming season. The truth is that he is a decent manager and I expect him to improve the Manchester United team in the upcoming season,  but I don't think it's going to be easy, because he will definitely be competing in four different competitions,  which is going to make his job harder, unlike last season that he was only competing in the Premier League. So I believe if he can get the right signing, it will definitely help him contest better, but if he gets uts wrong, they will definitely struggle.

Andoni Iraola seems to be talking tough, and it seems like he would be giving Liverpool the kind of playing style they desire which is why Arne Slot was sacked from his job, The type of football that Mohamed Salah was talking about Liverpool playing heavy metal, Jurgen Klopp Style, Well I’m sure Liverpool fans aren’t convinced about anything, until the season starts, and they see the kind of football he is bringing, and also the results are going to be important.

However Mohammed Salah needs to be replaced by the management, We would have to see what will happen as the season goes on and progresses.

Manchester United now need to increase the depth of the team rather than increase the strength of the team. Increasing strength and creating depth are not the same. Increasing strength means putting better players in the team than the available players in a position. But creating depth in the team means having alternative players of the same quality for the same position. That is, strengthening the bench team.

The current Manchester United is strong enough, if Carrick can use them properly, they will still have a chance to do well in the upcoming season. But the problem will arise when the main players get tired after a long period of regular play or the main players face injuries, then the bench team will come in handy. Competition requires more ability to do well over a long period of time than to do well in a few matches.

I agree about Salah. There is still no transfer made to replace him at Liverpool. They have been after Yan Diomande about whom they might be thinking like a replacement.

But I assume there is no progress on that deal yet either. Besides they will need to take their time for him to fill a legend like Salah's place...

Carrick can just do his best, he is a coach learning on the job, so let's not expect much from him.

Considering his performance in 2021 when he was Manchester United caretaker manager I believe Micheal Carrick has a lot in him that we haven't seen yet probably he will reveal them in the champions league. I believe he will do a great job in the champions league next season but my major concern is how he will rotate players, he hasn't bought alot players for next season that's just my worry.

There is no point in judging whether Carrick is a good coach or not, he has already proven what he is. This season is not about whether Carrick is a good coach or not. He has already proven that. Now real question is whether he can build squad that is consistent when pressure of fixture increases.

Qualifying for Champions League is one thing. Fighting in Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup is completely different challenge. However I don't think we should assume that United will be suffocated by the number of game played. united is already quite active in transfer market. Carrick is also being given full backup to strengthen key position before season start. If recruitment is not just expensive but smart then United will have enough depth to fight in all competition

There is no point in judging whether Carrick is a good coach or not, he has already proven what he is.

Carrick must have secured his seat for one season at least after carrying Man Utd into top 3. If he had more weeks left maybe he'd even join the title race! 

Now his job will be much harder of course. He needs to build a squad which can fight well in the CL also. The owners must still have the money for that.

Tielemans and Andrey Santos are the transfers I know until now. Who else are close?

Don't forget that there is one thing to buy a player and another thing for the player to effectively play very well and I say this because the player will now have to adapt to the settings of the new club and some of the players after the whole turn over tend to find it really to adapt to the new club as we can see what happened to Liverpool and almost all their signing from last season. Man U possess a team strong to be Arsenal's rival this season, but Arteta is on a whole different level, his plans to emulate PSG's playing strategy, should it work, will easily place him ahead of the contending teams in the Premier league, he's done so well at mastering transitional football, and is yet to add to it the emotional maneuvering that Enrique's brought to his game at the finals with Arsenal, If Arteta lays his hands on that playing Fluid he'd have nobody to worry about in the premier league.

Aren't Arsenal being given a bit too much credit? Yes, they finally got over the line. But to me they did not seem like unstoppable champion. They showed their old habit of reducing intensity of the match when the pressure was on. The only difference this time was that Manchester City had an unusually bad season by their own standards. Thats why Arsenal managed to get away with those mistake.

Arsenal aren't good enough, but then, they deserve your accolades for winning the trophy this. There fights for so many seasons has finally paid off and they are celebrating it. For the fact that they won it shows that they were better than every other team.  It will be so better that those who don't appreciate the fact that Arsenal are champions, they should play safe and avoid making speeches that seems not too good. Poeple should really learn to celebrate with those who are joining decision.

Arsenal were very strong last season and we noticed that they were able to win their title after a long time but it is true that this team surprised everyone by reaching the final of the UEFA Champions League last season. However, at the moment we can see that Arsenal are looking to buy a striker before this pre-season and they are looking to add Julian Alvarez to their squad from Atletico Madrid. To be honest we have seen that many clubs have shown interest in this player because Spanish clubs Madrid and Barca wanted to buy this player, but now the PL club Arsenal is interested in this player.

I don't think much should be expected from Manchester United next season even though because even though they have come a long way it is Also going to be difficult for them because other teams would also put in their best as well. People seem to think that Micheal carrick is a magician and he would just start winning trophies but it doesn't work like that, the premier league is quite competitive. We could see the changes immediately Carick took over as the manager of the club but as you said, it's going to be difficult because they will now be competing in more competitions than only the premier League that they are used to last season. And the right signing might be one of the best things that will happen to the team next season, they just need good and perfect replacements for each position in the team because of injuries or fatigue due to the long season. Manchester United are expected to do well this season but that will come with Carick improving on his tactics and they have good signings that will help the team progress or even lift one title from any of the titles they are competing for.

It was around 2023/2024 season that Manchester United last played in the Champions League, and 2022/2023 Premier League, where they finished in 3rd place, which qualified them for the Champions League. 

Now is another time for Manchester United, Carrick used the boys to prove they merit a spot, the ball is now in their court, i will like to see how Manchester United will use it in this Champions League season.

I'm expected to see a very excellent performance from them under Carrick, they finish the league in third place with a very excellent performance, I am still confident that those performance are still there and they can also improve it again to make the team solid when playing in any competition.

Carrick shocked everyone when he came and improve Manchester United because majority were saying that the Manchester United end has score, meaning they will not be either recognize as a top team again but a bottom team. Carrick came to stop all that and now they are back again to maintain their position.

That exact expectation is the reason why they are going to go through something very tough. Because too many people are expecting a lot from him. I "might" be wrong about this, but if we look at the table since Carrick took over, United I think got the most points during that time. Which is why I think it is clear that we are looking at something that is not easy to handle.

This is why there is a big problem because they may not be able to do the same. People saw "the team with the most points since he took over" and now expect a lot from him, so a fifth place would be a shame, and yet the reality is that United doesn't deserve to be at the top, and being fifth would not be really out of place for them. Hence this will not be easy season for them.

The club had some gaps to fill in the midfield area and they decided to do so by signing up Brazilian Andrey Santos, who was owned by Chelsea but spent the last season on loan to French Strasbourg. United agreed to pay £50 million for him (or $67 million).
Another confirmed transfer is Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa. United decided to activate the release clause and will pay £36m ($48m) for the Belgian midfielder.

So looks like Man United are seriously thinking about returning to the top after many years of disappointment.

Carrick has done well for Manchester United and seeing how far they’ve come is really a big boost to the team. I am seeing Manchester United going into the next season not as a potential for the title contender but as a team that would fight to still remains in the top four of the premier league to make it to the champions league again in the subsequent season also. I don’t think they can win the premier league next season and the champions league, they can just get a chance to go out of the group stage and make it to the knockout phase of the competition, but they can’t really win it in the long run. Manchester United overall will not be that bad next season but winning a trophy is not what I see happening for them next season.

Well both are good signings, on is a veteran in the premier league and the other is a young player who his full of life And would want to prove himself at all cost. With casimero leaving I think it really wise to bring in 2 midfielders to try to replace him, and it very intelligent of them in mixing it up with a veteran and a young talented player.

I still feel a lot of players need to be signed considering that they will be playing in a lot of competition next season including the champions league. It will get to a point next season that Manchester United will be playing every 3 Days so they need to bring in more able numbers.

For this, they have changed some players which will make their performance stronger and if they play the way they are trying, they can win the title but it is so easy they will have to face a lot of difficulties. They will have to get the most points from stronger teams so that it does not become more difficult for them to go ahead and lose points. For this, they will have to reduce the strength of the Champions League if they think that they should focus all their attention on the Premier League. Along with this, they should also get a chance to rest and only then will they work hard to show strength and good performance in one league after another. What was expected from Carrick was what he did. If he did not win most of the matches and able to push Manchester United to the top 4, there is no way the club was going to keep him for another season but that gesture changes what they've in mind because many people were agitating that they must keep Carrick as permanent manger after seeing his short term performance, there was no even any contract that period.

I have seen Teilesmans attention to the team, that's what many of us expected from him and the club, let's see more of the players. The present Manchester united player can't be rely on, he should get as much as replacement before the season becomes serious, by January he might not even have that chance of making amendment anymore, things might be worse than the way they were if he doesn't do it now.
