You are right, Brentford played well in the beginning of the match, and Liverpool had more of an advantage after the first red card. It is not easy to handle the pressure against a team with 10 men. I think the way Brentford competed before the red card, if they had played the whole match with 11 men, the result could have been different.

Last game week, Liverpool lost to Manchester City due to a red card and then today, they’ve been able to win Brentford due to their first red card. Yarmoliuk Should have known better, they were comfortably leading the game and had being on the front foot. He ought to know that the Liverpool players would do what they can to offset the team and he played right into. The red card served Liverpool real good and were able to get 2 goals after that.

Everton and Chelsea was a difficult play, while Chelsea might have had all 3 points in this game, it wasn’t an easy win and Chelsea were a little lucky to have gotten away with a win here, regardless of them scoring 2 goals.

It's a good thing that Chelsea is finally getting better and I am impressed with the stability in the team now. When people say Chelsea was having defensive problems, i defended Chelsea and argued that they were only struggling because of the poor midfield combination and majorly because Caicedo was absent. Now we can all see how improved they've become since Caicedo joined back, they now have a more balanced midfield pairing of Caicedo - Henderson. Suddenly the poor defense have improved even though the same players are the ones playing, this means I was right after all, the midfield was the problem.

Xabi Alonso is doing so much and I think he's almost trusted by the fans now. It was a tough game but winning without conceding any goal is impressive.

Yeah, indeed Chelsea are trying to get their performances back into well standard I think their almost done since I can see their performances is well improved compared to before, when where conceding goals hope they continue to maintain their form. Last game week, Liverpool lost to Manchester City due to a red card and then today, they’ve been able to win Brentford due to their first red card. Sometimes I just wonder what some players are thinking to commit careless offenses that might cost the team. The headbutt was really unnecessary by Yarmoliuk and knowing that it was a violent conduct but still doing it anyway is really surprising. They were just lucky that the ball hasn't been kicked yet else it would have been a red card + penalty kick.

I believe the outcome of the game would have been different without any red card but what happened cost them the game although Liverpool played well, and I think they deserved the win with the performance.

I also agree that Brentford started the game very well, but the one man disadvantage really affected them in the game. They are a good side and they can win any team on there good day. On Liverpool's side I am.not really impressed with the way they played before the red card, but I think controlled the game after the card against Brentford, but I don't think they would have won the game if not for the red card.

I agree with you, Xabi is doing very well at the moment, imagine taken over Chelsea for this short period and the team is awakening back to it glorious days, it shows that Xabi is matured and has earned the respect, trust and commitment of his players, the rate at which every individual player at Chelsea puts in their best during their games is a clear message of unity in the team.

Currently every player seems to be covering the lapses of the others, that is why we aren’t seeing any defensive error anymore, another thing that is making me so happy is the fact that any player in the Chelsea can score, goals aren’t peculiar to just strikers, today Neto had the lead in the goals. Lastly Chelsea have had a clean sheet today in a long while and this shows so much improvement.

It seems Newcastle have fallen off their mighty horse, they’ve been having bad games this season getting beaten by almost everyone. Today Fulham gave their best and won their first game, Hull city is a stubborn team.

Chelsea’s performance has improved but I understand your point not to actually believe easily that they’re back in form. They still need to show some consistency in their form, so they have more work to do as regards their performance consistency. Chelsea has shown some improvement since after returning from the international break, I hope they will keep up to that.

Observing their performance for the next few weeks will really put them on a good track if they keep up with this quality play, just until when they are now performing well and ready to compete for the title. The premier league always have a way of getting more teams involved in the title fight and I don’t think this will be an exception if Chelsea decides to show that form in the league.

Man City are still shook after the disastrous UCL defeat, getting 2 goals at home from Ipswich is NOT normal when you're positioning as the main favourite in the EPL race.

They are still carried by what Guardiola taught them but the cracks are slowly appearing. Maresca won't handle that ship.

As far as I can see, Manchester City is doing very well under the leadership of Enzo maresca, because the results is speaking for itself. Seven wins out of seven is not an easy feat to achieve, so we should try not to discredit the job done by Enzo maresca.
Their performance in the uefa champions league was bad from the start of the game, which was the main reason they fell to that defeat, but we saw an improve performance in the second half, but since they were up against a formidable opponent like PSG, they were unable to claw their way back into the game which was the result of their losing.

This is still Guardiola's team playing, they just do on autopilot what Pep taught them. Maresca is not participating.

It kinda reminds me of how Chelsea won its first UCL back in 2012. They were managed by Di Matteo at the moment who was absolute zero (he was sacked soon later and hasn't had a job for 10 years now) but the team was built by Carlo Ancelotti and they too played Carlo's football on autopilot.

Man City's cracks are starting to show. Once this lucky streak is over we all will see Maresca is not capable of building a team of that class himself.

Chelsea are still not up to par, it's just too early to say this, even before the International break we did well before having difficulty with some of the games.

There are issues that can still persist  because our major issues has not been egocentric players, I can't really recall the last time we had such case heavily, because any player who seems to act in such manner are sold no sooner or later.

I don't think they tried, firstly Liverpool were lucky that Brentford were a man down as early as the first half meaning the played the whole second half a man light and Liverpool could only win by one goal, Brentford is a stubborn team that's why Liverpool odds to win today was high and honestly I think if they were equal Liverpool could have either lost or drawn the match. Manchester city were not also terrific as they were really stretched by newly promoted Ipswich.

A win dosen't prove anything...Or should I say two consecutive wins if I include Chelsea win against Bournemouth, still dosen't mean Chelsea have improved and are back...Assuming they are having City's level of consistent performance then just then would I be fully convinced about anything... I predicted Chelsea and Manchester City to get victory in their games today, I wasn't just sure of Liverpool, they've been inconsistent with their performances this season so I concluded they'll struggle against away Brentford.

I watched the Liverpool game, they weren't convincing with their performance and I don't think they would've won that game if their hosts weren't reduced to 10 men. Just like you said, I want to see how the other teams perform tomorrow especially Manchester United. Will Michael Carrick help his team return to winning ways? We will find out tomorrow.

The fact Liverpool won over Brentford today is a show men at the Liverpool team are also stepping up on their game. Still at the 5th position of the table but I’m sure they can do better if they work harder this season. I don’t seee them leading the stable at any time within the league, especially when there are the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City are still at the top level there, they’re occupying. I would rather encourage Manchester United to put itself together properly. So they can also bounce back a bit because it is so disheartening to see Manchester United at the 14th position but it is football and football does not give a damn your sentiments but your workings.

Manchester United is not a team that should be taken seriously because they're inconsistent. Arsenal is reliable as they have been consistent,so be expecting a good result from them but not from Manchester united,Leed united may be a small team but they are very stubborn whenever they meet a strong team,so manchester United won't find this match easy because leed united will be hard to defeat,manchester United will likely suffer a defeat against leed united or maybe the match will end in a draw but I am not seeing Manchester united winning this game.

Chelsea have truly improved since Caicedo came back from injury, and his partnership with Henderson  has really stabilize every department of this Chelsea team. They got their first clean shit of the season which was well deserving and with the way they are playing with more confidence now, I believe that they will get even better, since xabi Alonso has proven to be a reliable manager that can lead them to the right direction.

 I will not be too confident on them yet, until they have played other top teams, but before then, a big thumbs up to xabi Alonso and his boys because they have shown that they have really improved from their first five games that they were easily leaking goals.

Chelsea winning their next game doesn't mean they'd be in 3rd position, that's not how it works. If the 3rd positioned team doesn't drop point, then Chelsea probably won't be.

Although, I agree that there has been a notable improvement, and that's due to the fact that there is a solid CM now—I'm talking about the Henderson Caicedo duo—they have improved the teams overall performance so far. It's such a massive sigh of relief to have Caicedo back.
