Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD

I created a complaint on askgamblers, which was rejected because "Investigation by stake is still ongoing".

I assume askgamblers took this stance as I said my level 3 verification hadn't been approved or rejected from my reupload on 13/5/2024

But come on, It's been a year I've been on this merry go around so many times.

Disheartening.

I will look at the scam accusation channel on bitcointalk and make a post there in a day or two. Thank you for the suggestion.

"Level 3 is rejected, the customer sent a bank statement, they need to upload a utility bill for the last three months and proof of payment of that bill for each month."


The above is not true as I supplied them with a bank statement and a bank reference letter. Both stamped.

I am not going on that utility bill merry-go-around again.

Ive recreated the complaint on askgamblers with this new information. Hopefully they accept it.

I believe that in this forum there are people from your country who use stake and are verified at level 3, so you should ask them what documents they used to verify their accounts at level 3 and get the same document in your country and deliver it to stake. because it may happen that the documents you are submitting are not valid in the stake. Also you talk about 6000 USD, did you deposit the money through your bank account or was it through cryptocurrencies? and which country had you traveled to when they asked you for level 3 kyc?

I travel back and forth between australia often and will be back in Australia in 3 months time. I am working towards getting my perm visa.

I wonder if those other thai people (if they exist) were profitable or stake only kyc people who win.

Its evident at this point it doesnt matter what i give them they will not accept it.

Stake has responded and said they can not verify my bank and bank reference statements. I assume as gambling is illegal in thailand they have no pathways to verify with the relevant banks.  Thats their problem not my problem.

They have asked for 3 months of utility bills again.  I am getting PTSD flash backs of the back and forths i had with them last year.

Ive sent them a reply email and offered to meet up with a rep in thailand, (and cover this cost) , Ive offered to go to the thai foreign ministry and have an ID card provided with my address ( This is different than a drivers licence ). I am sure they will not accept either. I feel like im dealing with AI bots. I might be.

Ive been gambling for a long time, on some dodgy sites but i have never had the misfortune of encountering a sportsbook like this.

Is your money locked up there or something? If not, it doesn't really make sense as to why you are trying so hard to pass their verification process instead of just shifting to some other site with a simpler verification process.

Also, no one is going to believe your statements easily based on your words alone. You need to provide proof to support your statements.

Although all your questions are logical and valid, this user published a new topic here in the gambling board without providing any clarifications about his status with the platform about whether he has a blocked balance there or pending withdrawals, or any evidence proving the content of his communications with support, because it seems to be illogical to ask him to re-complete the identity verification procedures if all the documents he sent were 100 percent correct, given that Stake.com platform is one of the most reliable platforms and will not risk its reputation for any reason.

Since he does not interact with members’ comments, I doubt the credibility of his story, and it is no wonder that he is spreading lies just to discredit the platform or because his plan to manipulate the platform system has failed.

when you refused to capture your documents very well it will not be verified and after you upload it within 30 minutes the documents will fail, so what we need to do is to use a valuables documents immediately it will get verified, their is one certain time I was doing a kyc in one of my exchange, I noticed that something went wrong after I have tried it for two weeks and it continues to fail, until I notice that it is because of the document is not original that makes my verification to fail so I know very well that if you don't use a proper document whatever thing that you are uploading will not be accepted in any exchange platform and the casino platform

30mins is even much for it to be verified because I also had some win that required me to upload my KYC on the stake Website and I first the wrong documents which was not clear enough and it failed but the moment I used the original and clear version it was verified within some minutes and I easily withdrew my funds without any complications.

May be you`re right. But the same time if you read this thread you can change your mind. Or even this post.
There is such a problem with the Stake. I don`t know why, may be your answer can help these gamblers. I was in such situation with the bank - i sent them my passport and they asked to send it again and again. As the result i called to the bank security and the answered that the problem was in the pencil marks on the page.
The problem is to get answer where is the problem.

There is something very nonsensical in this whole thing.
Lets face it. It’s not as if Stake are the only ones asking for these ridiculous verifications.
Infact traditional casinos require alot less. The registration process is actually difficult especially for Americans playing in proper regulated US brands

What always gets me is that to deposit you can literally stay anonymous which is 99% the reason of even playing on a crypto brand to begin with. Not only that, non of these casinos would stop you even if your registering from a location where gambling is illegal.

You register and play and if you win, they’ll decide down the road whether you qualify for a withdrawal or not.

In my opinion, the best thing for users would be a non-licensed crypto casino operator with a healthy standing in this forum.

If they have a thread where multiple users claim they have successfully withdrew, and no legit complaints i would guarantee your money would be the safest there.

The best two options would be
Regulated - register an account and pay with CC with a proper license from the country your residing in
Unregulated - anonymous crypto, no KYC - but credible in the forum. And check several forums. Bitcointalk, reddit, X youll paint a picture real fast.

If any casino is asking for more than your passport theres already an issue.

We don't know what happened, whether the problem was solved or not, but if we check the post history of the OP, he had another scam accusation against the same casino, which he posted this year. So, I'm confused as to why he still gambles with the same casino despite having faced a problem in the past already.

The OP is clear enough about this case and a more reason why we should consider our accounts when we are leaving the country we registered them from for the security of the account and the safety of our funds. Well, people are smarter than each other because, I always consider where I have huge money before having my IP address changed for whatsoever reason and I make sure I do not use the VPN. This is because these days many companies frown at the change in the country of residence/registered IP and it could be problematic for the customer because if they could be complaining about the use of VPN, why can't they complain about the change of country's IP even if it's not a VPN?

No one can blame them as they are protecting their customers and company from cheating and adhere to their ToS. As it is now, it's over a year for this guy, I feel for him, however, we should learn from his predecament. Perhabs we can inform our casino before leaving the country if that would save us the stress because indeed to pass the verification being asked of this guy in some countries is difficult as the system of bills payment and others are not always the same for every country, even the government is not helping to make some bills provable/acceptable.

Coming across a case Today where a user was accussed by the casino for operating multiple account, the user objected even when he was very guilty of the accusation, he even went ahead to post scam accusations against the casino on different gambling forums, but at the end of it all, came back to apologize to the casino for refusing to admit his fault and wrongly accusing the casino.

One I thing I've learnt from that story was never to trust every accusation I find on this forum or any where else, there are many crazy gamblers who know nothing about integrity, they don't mind wrongfully posting an accusation against a casino for the sole purpose of just to catch cruz, or achieve a selfish aim.
For this topic/thread, it's either the problem never existed, or the issue was resolved and op didn't find it needful to update the thread, which I find a bit worrying as such attitude leaves a bad stain on the casino where newbies will come around and after reading such accusations, will become skeptical to play on the casino if for example, the mention3d casino was their choiced one to gamble one.
