Hope you know it’s very risky to invest in all those coins with zero value, your friend might be lucky and after investing in zero value coins, it might work out well for him, but if you invest in those zero value coins, you might end up losing all your money, so you don’t have to copy what other are doing, and we should know that investment in altcoins are really risky, anything can happen to any coin at anytime, so when investing in altcoin, we all have to be very careful. thats true, without reasonable reasoning investing in these zero coins might instead spell bankruptcy, I don't think investing in zero value coins is that easy. many of them just outright vanish into thin air few weeks into the future.
the thing is that, these zero valued coins are usually having so much centralized supplies that I think they besides the vulnerability of vanishing into thin air also heavily manipulated.

Diversification of investment is necessary not only in crypto but even in real life physical investment. The problem is that what work for your friend may not work for you and majority of these zero value coins have no future potentials. You can risk to invest in some of these alt coins with caution despite the fact but you should not expect much from them compare to BTC.

You friend took the risk and fortunately it worked for him. He's such a very wise guy that was not carried away and developed the idea of investing those profits in Bitcoin. Some people might not have that thought of investing in BTC, thinking that the alt coin will continue to moon and will eventually lose everything if care is not taken. I'm leaning more towards the fact that you're friend is lucky enough that all of the "zero value" coins he bought appreciated, and got profited from all of them. I don't know the numbers, but most of the investors who are investing into these type of coins typically lose their money because these zero-value coins that you are saying are ending up either a scam coin or an abandoned coin.

I used to do the same technique last 2017. I am not basing my investment in USD or USDT or my local currency but on bitcoin. I buy altcoins to grow my number of bitcoins. I went on to grow my bitcoins into something I did not imagine. I had a bad decision though as I sold them all last 2018 during the time when it has their lowest value because my emotions were running high and I cannot sleep well already. I was starting to get scared if bitcoin drops more and it might turn worthless.

So I am starting all over again. I am trying to do the same technique but I am finding it hard but maybe my analysis becomes clearer next year or by 2025 when the market is bullish. But I am also considering other altcoins especially those that are still standing tall like ethereum.

Your friend is lucky. If he invested in altcoins, maybe that could be the altcoins era that is the time before 2017 when the rally for altcoins was very high. Coins like etheruem at that time were very cheap and ico scam was not that rampant.

Your friend is very lucky but I doubt if that scenario will happen again. Altcoins these days are scary to invest because many of them has prove to be wrong investment, they have failed many investment countless without numbers and the trust issues of people buying them again. Your friend was lucky that such move was before people fell in love on altcoins before the crashes and was smart enough to convert it back to Bitcoin.

If any try that method of investment now, there is no guarantee that you will make the same profit again but the best you can do as an investor is to always diversify your portfolio and wallet, buy them in many quantity and hold them and if the market becomes excited once again, you will make a good profit and don't forget to sell when you have gained profits.

Altcoins can give him a temporary profit. but if their prices go against his predictions, then he may suffer huge losses from them which he may not have imagined.

Lately I have not really heard success stories from altcoins investment at least during this particular halving. Altcoins era is really taking a dive so to invest in it at the moment is a whole lot of risk to go through. Hodling altcoins are just luck for one to come off it with same investment value but maybe something new can happen with altcoins during this halving, not an investment advise though.

Investing in altcoins is risky but very profitable, so it is not right to refrain from investing here. So investing in altcoins should be done with a limit then it won't make big final loss but if profit it will act as a bonus income. Your friend might just be lucky and if you decide to follow him you mightn't be as lucky as he is and lose all your money. Shitcoins with zeros values aren't good project to invest into because you'll lose your investment majority of the time. Your friend just took a gambling bet and he won by profiting from the project and buying Bitcoin. He made a good choice by deciding to buy Bitcoin because those zero value coins might return to having no value.

We don't have to limit our investment but we shouldn't investment in hyped project that doesn't have any value but only been hyped by the community. They can make you profits but also give you big loses if something was to go wrong and people stop hyping the projects.

To reach an investment understanding like him is not easy, I'm sure he has experienced various kinds of losses from investing in coins at prices that are still Zero. Not all investments that are still at Zero are profitable, for example buying scam coins or these coins have no value in the market when traded. And most importantly, your friend doesn't drop money on assets that he doesn't analyze at all. 1 in 100 types of assets invested, not all of them generate profits right? Nevertheless let me suggest you that mate, you show invest in limits. You should always invest that amount, that you can afford to lose, or the amount that is not required for the next few months or years. If you don’t calculate the risk and keep on investing, then the chances of getting loss will also increase. Your friend did well on buying those zero value coins. I personally think it's a big gamble to buy those knowing that most of it are abandoned tokens and has no community left behind that's why it stoop at that price. Maybe your fries is just so good in speculating coins and has a great luck in scoring profit in those kind of coins. I once tried this strategy but guess what, all the coins I bought before was still on my wallet which becomes unsellable because of how long it sat on my wallet and the market never gave me a chance to sell those.
