I think your friend is very great in analyzing and making the decision to invest in Altcoin who has the potential to provide more benefits, I think he is a great person or a lucky person. Maybe there are also some coins that scorch the money.
Diversification is indeed necessary to increase the amount of probability to get more profit to potential Altcoin, like your friend's decision.

That will be the worst idea for now to invest in those zero value coins because it's very hard to find out potential low cap coins now. And I saw many users just lost their capital by investing on low cap coins , on meme coins . It's far better to join IDO from good projects than buying low cap shitcoins.

Diversification might be good because we will see our investment opportunities increase more because of having several assets, but diversifying investments in altcoins I think it is not so good because the opportunities will not only see assets increase but also decrease, because one coin goes up but the other coin down so deep so that no profit is made.
Altcoins can indeed provide enormous and faster profits, but losing them is also as big a risk.

Not all the time on which a certain investor would really be ending up on having a happy story because it would really be depending on which coin you would be investing and some sort of mix of luck which is something
that needed when you do make out profits out of those coins or projects you had invested into. Diversification would be always that best but it would really be depending on the project you had put it into.
If you are really that having that DYOR and good decision making on putting up some investment then turns out to have those pumps then accumulation of Bitcoin would really be that somewhat faster.

I won't bank on these alts we have today for the era of altcoins being used as a short cute means to appreciate investment is long gone. And if it were to be today the story of your friend would have been one of an unlucky tale as we now have so much oumb and dump altcoins scam projects in the crypto industry like never before.  A long term HODL of your investment in bitcoin is worth more now than taking the risk of trusting some alts based on the tendency of it pumping up at anytime, you may end up waiting forever.

Yeah, he got lucky. All of my coins now didn't come alive haha even though I background check it and do some research about their projects, he is lucky that his token's project owner survive bear market and didn't go bankrupt. But what he is doing to diversify his investment of course but for now it is still really good to do some research first before anything else.

The only problem with coins with a value of almost zero is that they could either slip into the shitcoin zone or they will move to be a valuable token and honestly with altcoins investments into coins without a strong foundation it's all gambling at the end of it!!

Going back into those ICO days on which i did make out diversification with my investment and invested on several projects which i do see that it is really that worth or having that utility but most of them had died
and didnt been able to recover their prices even if the bull run kicked in. There are some projects who do make out some movement or price increase but not really that much.This is why i did really
put up into my mind that there's none other worthy projects to invest on but only on Bitcoin. The increase might not really giving that x100 or more but you could somewhat assure that you could
make x2 x3 or x5 in the near future or more, no one really knows.

Shitcoin is hype moment awhile, when entry early has chance for earning profit later but can't guarantee when later for entry with shitcoin has chance to earn profit and get capital back. Exactly with shitcoin listed on DEX exchange only and owner has moment to removed liquidity before investor selling their shit coin and we can't sell anymore with how much shit coins have invested.

You right top coins is the best for short or long term investment, I am quit with all shitcoin investing although looks promising with many people earn profit but top coins like Ethereum and BNB coins keep give us consistent profit without risk for price dropping. A piece of advice is to always research your own coins and then invest your money on them. In your friends case I am not sure how he did it but it seems really blind investment. By just reading your post itself it gives zero to no value to his plans and how he is doing it. I think all you need to do is have a wallet, get yourself bitcoins now and then. As you know very well bitcoin can be bought in small portions called as Satoshi. You can keep buying them now and then with smallest amount possible, let them sit their in your wallet and enjoy the benefits later. Just like you would save your money in the bank, instead of that you can save it in the bitcoin form. The diversification point is good but hell you need to study everything in detail before you can have proper portfolio.

Good story, that's how it should be. Those that have been too invested in altcoins should take the time that it's not going to stay there for a long time if ever their assets in altcoins are flourishing. They need to spend in taking a profit because that's how it should be. And as they take profit and if they still wanna stay on this market, the profit they make from those altcoins should be retained and put into bitcoin. It's also called shitcoin, it's just going to be a junk coin in the future. Just hype at the beginning and then the people who got in early will dump it to get all the profits. Shitcoin will not last, there is no good advice to buy Shitcoin unless they buy at the beginning and know what risks will be experienced. He who is fast will survive the loss.

Know that every investment does not guarantee success and profitability, that’s why if you have the sufficient funds for capital, learn to diversify your investments so that if one investment fails, other investments will still have chances to succeed. I have tried so much to open my mind to buying altcoins but it seems that my mind is very stiff about it. Although I do not call it diversification. I do not consider buying different coins diversification of investment. One Bitcoin pumps other coins follow and vice versa. So, having Bitcoin and buying altcoins is not diversification.

It could be too risky to invest now in altcoins particularly whose value is almost zero as you can’t guarantee if they will get the chance to recover or just continue to be dead coins in the end. That’s the reason why I can’t risk my money with altcoins at the moment. However, I must say your friend OP must be very lucky that he never experienced that. Probably those were the times when altcoins are still profitable same with bitcoin, one thing that’s hard to be realized these days.
