The only thing that makes someone quit their addiction is that someone no longer has anything, in this case money, property, even work, and this applies to all addictions. There are some cases that doesn't have to be running out of money that will result in stopping gambling. Honestly, I did gamble before but I already stopped gambling at all not because I don't have work, doesn't have money but because I think it's a waste of money and I have something else that entertains me without spending money and that makes my mind occupied in something else that doesn't require you to spend a single cent such as online games or offline games.

Right, we agree on this. It is very important to avoid any form of addiction at all costs. But in reality, this will involve all aspects of our lives. There are many addictions and causes, and not just gambling or things related to narcotics. In most cases it all starts from habit, and the habits we do become excessive and ultimately get out of control. as you said, when we realize that we fall into the addiction category, recovering requires effort accompanied by strong intention and determination. that is, if we are able to go through every temptation we face in recovery.

One can avoid any kind of addiction by moderating them.  if we moderate all things, we can find ourselves in control and the possibility of addiction will diminish.  Another term for this is to be responsible enough to take all things in moderation.

Having no money can't make a gambling addict quit his gambling activity.  Remember a gambling addict already lose control over his gambling urge.  This person will do everything he can to get funds even committing a crime just to gamble.  The only thing that make a gambling addict quit is when he got rehabilitated and cured.  This way his control over his urge to gamble will come back.

Well that's better and indeed everyone (gamblers) should also have this mindset my friend, where he should think that gambling is nothing more than an activity for fun and as a reward they will get a win if they are lucky. Yes, I think it's very clear that gambling is fun because it involves money, so a lot of people come with different intentions, but I'm not saying that you're having fun to get money, but just to enjoy the sensation that is there, and I hope you can limit yourself not to be there for too long and also you have to have a normal awareness, nothing more than that. As we know there are so many victims of gambling, they are very comfortable being there but do not think about how much money they have lost in search of one or two lucky wins.

That is not quitting gambling addiction, because immediately that the person gets access to funds, he or she will still fall back into gambling. After all, they haven't decided to quit. if you find yourself in this condition, the only thing that can get you out is when you decide to quit and disassociate or stay away from anything related to gambling activities like stop visiting gambling shops and sites, possibly staying away from friends who also indulge in gambling and even moving away from the environment if that environment contributed to you being addicted to gambling.

I must also mention that a jobless person should avoid gambling cos you don't always win and when you loose, you should have other clean sources of income to fall back to. I think I agree with you that some people, I will say, not smart enough people, may actually think that gambling can be a source of permanent income. 
This conviction may especially arise among overly impressionable people   w ho have seen enough Hollywood blockbusters about super players who have won so much that they are bathed in luxury and simply do not know what to do with the money from their winnings.  Sometimes newspapers and the Internet also write about such professional players, for example, when playing poker.  Of course, this also happens in life, but it is so rare that an ordinary person, without any special abilities, will never achieve such winnings.  And often it seems to me that such films and messages are just hidden advertising for the entire casino industry.  But such naive people still exist and then all their games end in losses.  And it’s good if they lose a little, or, as they say, they lose as much as they can afford.

Too delusional kind of people who do really believe that gambling could really be a source of income and we know that it isnt really that able to fit on that criteria since we know that gambling is really just that for entertainment but people do really becomes that too desperate on trying out to achieve on what they do have in mind which is really that very wrong. That is true, but many people continue to use gambling as their main source of income, making it difficult for them to find other sources of income. They also have the possibility of becoming addicted to gambling because making gambling a source of income will trigger them to gamble more often. Of course, they can also experience losses more often. If they cannot stop immediately before they develop a gambling addiction, they will not encounter problems that could endanger their lives. I agree with you here: gambling is not what someone should do when they don't have any means of earning; it always has some kind of side effect on time in the aspect of their playing behaviour. When you gamble without having somewhere you earn and make a living from, then you will gamble with everything that you have because your daily feeding will depend on you winning the game in which you are gambling, and when you ose,  remembering that you don't have anything in your house to go back to, you will have to try over and over again, even if it takes you to borrow in order for you to continue playing.
 
But when someone has a paying job and just left over of their spending is being used to gamble, then things will be a little different for the person, as they can still call it a day when they squander the money they have budgeted for that day. Aside from the paying job part, one also has to be a good decision-maker and to stand by their decision in order for them not to play with more than they have budgeted.

I have hard a story of someone who was heavily addicted to gambling to the point that his family, friend and job were all lost because of his persistent gambling and reckless spending on gambling, and because of that loneliness he became depressed and committed suicide at the end which was a regrettable outcome for gis families.
