There are lot of players who are talented. But not all players are lucky. You have to be talented as well as lucky to play for the big teams. Only 11 players can play in a team, but there are plenty of talented players, so all cannot make into the team. This advantage is being taken by the coaches or the player hiring team. They ask for money in order to select the player to play in the team. This happening with almost all types of games. Sad thing we can’t do anything about it. Now regarding Mbappe story, then yes the club which asked him money made the losses by not selecting him on the basis of his skills.

I've had a little interaction with someone within this thread about it too, saying that I shouldn't assume this happens in other sports cause no confirmation was made, when this couldn't be farther from the truth. The fact that people are capable of red-taping sports and giving other people unequal advantage over money is enough of an evidence to assume that this is something that happens with every sports.

Anywho, you're right, you also have to be really lucky if you want to make it into competitive athleticism especially football. Everyone can kick the ball into the net. Everyone can be talented at it, but only a lucky few would be given the chance to get paid millions of dollars for kicking it.

What they are doing is they are already underestimating the newly sprouts that could make their team proud someday and instead of giving them the support and guidance that they needed to mold them and showcase what they are made of or what could they bring for the team, unfortunately, a short change is what they've got. It seems, cases like what you said could happen all over the world. however, usually most of these things happen in developing countries. I have another story, there are several local football academies in my country doing almost the same thing as happened in the case you said in this thread. one concrete example, in a football academy there will always be youth players who have talent with great potential to develop. but because they don't have the finances, or in other words don't give compensation money to coaches, managers or staff, the boy player won't be recommended to the first team if he doesn't have something to offer.

Well, there is a difference for the mediocre youth player. with the money his parents had, he was able to enter the main squad even though his talent was mediocre. that's why football in my country has been slow to develop. also, some other technical and non-technical problems.
however the case I am telling you about happened roughly a decade ago, and I hope the current system has changed and each academies highlight and prioritize players who do have talent. referring to what you said, what's happening is not only in Cameroon. maybe, practices like this still exist especially in developing countries.

It depends on how the attitude of the government in that country is, if there are indeed many corruptors' nests and left unchecked, of course it is difficult to make the country progress, in my country, corruptors are special, even the sentences can be reduced, the punishment is better than motorbike thieves, I think also if the leader in the government is clean, I I am sure that all the institutions under it will be clean, especially in sports institutions, it is very important to promote sports in that country, including football.

Also, this bribe talking is not just from the coaches or higher management, sometimes the players themselves will be willing to give bribes in order to play for a club or team. They do this because of high competition, or else they may be left out and other players may be given a chance. Someone with talent in many things cannot get good appreciation from the state because most of them come from poor families, so when they are required to pay money when they want to enter training to develop their talents, they cannot do it because of limited funds. But that wouldn't happen to someone who came from a family that had money because they could pay money to enter the training.

Only by moving to another country that can provide more complete facilities and are willing to accept them for free can they do so that their talents can be further developed.

Without a doubt this happens in all sports, but with soccer being the most popular sport around the world then I would guess this is more common there.

It is also very problematic that since soccer is managed by a monopoly called FIFA that this happens at all, I have always thought that soccer will be better of if there was an association which competed against FIFA for good players and resources, but FIFA will never allow it as the control they have over soccer is absolute.
