Everyone is saying they will sell next bull run and if we get a bull run and Bitcoin looks like it might break the ATH or even $100K many will basically get greedy and not sell a thing and it’ll reverse and head back down.

This happened back in 2017 when people said they would sell when it broke $20K, it came close but never broke it. Then when it hit $69K they wanted to sell at $100K because it was going so fast it looked like it was guaranteed and hence why it reversed.

Next bull run will be very similar.

You have a point there, people will become greedy when they see their wealth continuously increasing rapidly, and they will raise their goal higher than the original target. I also plan to sell my bitcoins when the price hits $100k in the upcoming bull cycle, but I also fear that by then, I won't be able to control my greed.

Honestly, I was one of those people who didn't sell their crypto assets during the 2017 bull season and paid dearly when the market reversed. It was an expensive lesson that I will never forget, but I still fear that when I face it again, I will not be able to win. Many people say it's simple, but it's not as simple as we think.

1. If you will compare the price of ATH in 2017, and the ATH in 2021, it's more than 3x the price. I know that this is just a small sample, and Bitcoin at the price of around $200,000 seems impossible, but my realistic prediction is Bitcoin's ATH will at least double it's previous ATH of $69,000, so more or less around $130,000. That's my next ATH in 2024-2025 (if the cycle continues of course).

I already have a strategy when it comes to selling, and I will just share it here. 20% of my total portfolio will be sold @ $70,000 then another 20% will be sold at around $85,000 and then maybe 30% will be sold at around $100,000. If it goes up even more, I will sell another 20% again, and the remaining 10% will be the ones that I will hold for the next bull run again. I really want to sell all of my Bitcoins, but I think holding some for the next bull run would be better, or if Bitcoin reaches that $130,000 price that I predicted then I might be selling the remaining 10% at that price range.

We have different strategies when it comes to selling Bitcoin during the bull run. Some goes all in selling at a specific target, some do Dollar Cost Average in selling like what I shared. Some don't want to sell their Bitcoins because they want to hold it for a longer period of time. I guess what's important is the strategy works in your favor right. After all, we are investing to gain profit.

People who had experienced the previous bull runs will know what happens when the price of bitcoin reaches the ath. It is really hard to analyse and understand specific price to be the ath for the season. As stated making a target and moving with that will let the user enjoy the profit. When price keeps increasing the greediness accompanies which is the base to make people miss opportunities. However my choice of selling is different, whenever there is need, unlike the price I prefer to sell and get fulfilled with what I receive.

Indeed, we are too hopeful for the upcoming years and the positive results after halving.
Last bull run we hit almost $70k and we think that we can reach for another ATH again next year. We can expect huge selling at that time I could think that bull season won't stay long because people are selling off their BTC. Selling 50% is a great idea but what if it never goes up after reaching $75k, would you sell it or keep on holding?

For me it depends on the limitations that we set, if we already earn in our holdings and it is ok to get the profit because it is big then we don't need to wait for tge next bull run which is very far from today, we can sell our holdings if it has already a profit and buy another coin to hold, i think getting profit depends on us not on the market status because even if the market is not so fine today there are still coin that still has a profit.

Everyone has a different profit target depending on the amount of the investment value, so they don't wait for the bull market period, for example, you invest 1-2 btc at a price of $ 20k-25k then some of them have already achieved the profit determined at the current market price to sell their assets because low profit target between 20-30% and their strategy is to invest again at a lower price in the second portfolio.

But it is recommended that trading profits be used for bitcoin investment for a higher profit target to hold until 2025 than switching to other coin investments, because other coins are not guaranteed to increase if bitcoin market conditions are bullish because it is proven that many other altcoins have not recovered at this time even though the bitcoin price has recovered almost 95% over the $15k price last year.

Looking at at things from the perspective of how the last halvings went, though also considering the growing involvement of institutions, I think my reasonable target is 50k, with a hope of 150k+.

Missing to sell on the incoming bull run is a waste of opportunity. We can sell our holdings this coming bull run specifically on the new ATH if possible or somewhere near that.  Then will reaccumulate once the market correction had reached its bottom or somewhere near that.  This way I can have a profit, and possibly get an amount more than the time I sell my Bitcoin holdings.

Bitcoin already pumped many times. If you only wait for the pump, you don't need to wait for a long time.

I find it silly to do so or believe that you know the exact answer while i have a very different opinion and point of view in this matter. Every investor has a motive in investing in Bitcoin. Everyone tries to collect as much Bitcoin as possible in bear market and take advantage from it in bull market. I am personally holding bitcoins and I know that in the next few days I will get multiple returns on my investment. There are also many other investors who will sell their bitcoins when the price of bitcoin rises to a potential level. I personally think that if Bitcoin surpasses the previous all-time high price, it must be 100k or more. But personally I haven't set any goals yet and I have a long term plan with Bitcoin.
