I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them but I feel everyone is entitled to his opinion and while some regard Bitcoin with outright disgust like Charlie Munger, there are some who care less of it's existence.

Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?

You can not force anyone to embrace bitcoin, people have to discover why bitcoin can benefit them if they buy it. And that is not all, they also need to know the right time to invest and not invest at the wrong time when bitcoin price has increased significantly.

We like or we do not like, people will invest in bitcoin. More people will know it and buy it and the price will continue to increase after long period of time. Some people may not like bitcoin and remain to be bitcoin critics, but if I can invest and make money, I do not care. That is life, everybody can not be on the same side

OP is right, bitcoin is not fiat currency that must be used by everyone. The limited supply of bitcoin makes it not available for everyone because as time goes on the poor ones will not be able to buy bitcoin due to the high price of bitcoin. It is just like gold that the poor ones knows it is expensive and base on their little income, they will not be able to buy gold. Bitcoin price is based on demand and supply, the more people keep buying, the lower the supply. If almost half of the people in the world own bitcoin,I guess that the price will hit 500k-700k which will become a problem to an average man to buy. It is only the interested ones that knows the potential of bitcoin or that loves decentralization that will adopt bitcoin, some people still believe that without the government nothing will survive, such people wouldn't adopt bitcoin.

I don't think there is one that is acceptable to everyone. Some like bitcoin, some hate it, some like fiat and some hate it, some like stocks, some hate it. It's better to forget those who don't like bitcoin, explaining to them will only waste your energy and mind. There is nothing to argue about, the world has many financial systems and all of them have their own communities and values. So just let them hate bitcoin, bitcoin can always make history with its highest price, even though many hate bitcoin

In my small village, maybe only I know bitcoin. I briefly explained bitcoin to my friends but they weren't interested. So I left them and I was fine

Maybe we can't force people who don't like them to like them. But don't worry, the bitcoin community is getting bigger by the day, it's only a matter of time until people who hate bitcoin regret not buying bitcoins a long time ago.

The earlier we understand that bitcoin is not for everyone, the better because it saves us the time and energy that we would have used to convince those who are uninterested,

Bitcoin is meant for everyone, that's why it's been decentralized from the beginning so that some people in authority will not make the use only for their own benefits and personal interest, but if a person decided not to adopt bitcoin after been told, no worries for that because later he will sure see the difference and what he would have missed out, another thing is that we ourselves being a bitcoiner must be an ambassador whereby our life and experience with bitcoin will motivate others to willingly want to join for bitcoin adoption.

Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks

Why i may not blame those that are not ready to adopt bitcoin is because they never see the needs for it, they have been using the traditional banking system and never know or sensed anything wrong or being abnormal in that which they were being cheated upon, so how do you fight for the right you know nothing about.

It is only the interested ones that knows the potential of bitcoin or that loves decentralization that will adopt bitcoin, some people still believe that without the government nothing will survive, such people wouldn't adopt bitcoin.

I am one of the people you mentioned, I believe that without government, nothing would exist. Like in a herd, there must always be a leader, without a leader, everyone is equal, and the world will be ruined. Just because you want freedom, you eliminate the role of government, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Don't forget, you have a peaceful life, no war, no robbers, you have all the comforts in life...all with great contributions from the government.

I need government, but I am still investing and very bullish on bitcoin. And for me, Bitcoin is just an asset, and it's just a tool to make money, it can't take on any government role.

I don't like how governments control central banks, create inflation of fiat currencies and put their citizens in worse life by negative effects from inflation or in some countries, hyper inflations. I don't like how they corrupted and became richer while their citizens became poorer by inflation as well as how they failed to keep their promises from their propaganda to be elected by citizens.

However, I see we still need governments to keep societies in orders. I don't want to live in a country, a society with an anarchic status because my life will be in danger. In such an anarchic society, my prosperity will become a big risk to end my life.

Bitcoin will become more interesting for investors when they see bad inflation from fiat currencies and realize that Bitcoin has become more strongly surviving after many years, many bear markets and many tests from governments to kill Bitcoin and its network. They will see it as a safe heaven to avoid inflation from central banks.

Bitcoin is such a good invention that it doesn't need to be actively sold. It sells itself. There will always be those who will not understand it, but little by little it will become more and more part of everyday life and it will be something like gold, but in digital form. Something that not everyone has, but knows what it is and is perceived as valuable.

I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them...

I believe that at least half of them are made up stories to fish for merit. As for those that are not, I agree that it is not worth trying to convince anyone.

Trying to convince people about bitcoin when they don't know anything about it can be a wasted effort because some people won't accept all  you may say concerning bitcoin. And if eventually you succeed in convincing them and they buy bitcoin in haste to invest without the knowledge of it, if the market and it volatility in nature does not go well with them it can destroy relationships because they will sure put the blame of their loses  on you. No need to force or convince people to invest in bitcoin,  people should see reason by themselves why they need to invest in bitcoin .

Bitcoin isn't for everyone, but everyone can choose to have Bitcoin.

Even though Bitcoin has a maximum supply, it doesn't mean there's no one can't own Bitcoin. You can just by the fraction, so there would be around 2,100,000,000,000,000 Satoshi. Currently the world population in 2023 is 8,045,311,447, this mean each people can own 261,021 Satoshi or 0.00261021 BTC. Although it's not an accurate calculation since there are lost Bitcoin, burn address etc.

Just like in all aspects of life, you can’t please everybody. No matter how successful are you in life, you can’t expect everyone to be pleased with your journey. Everyone has their own reasons behind it, but we do not want to focus on that. Let’s just focus on what we believe in like Bitcoin.

It has been a roller coaster ride for me though. At first when I believed in Bitcoin, not all have been pleased. They say I am now promoting a scam, etc. There’s even a guy who spread in all of his group chats to start “unfriending” me years ago because of being into Bitcoin rather than continue to being a failed network marketer.

But I still believed in Bitcoin and it paid off very well in the end and I have no regrets going into this crypto and Web3 industry. It’s all thanks to Bitcoin.

Just let Bitcoin do its job. I don't really expect other people to persuade other people to invest in Bitcoin because, first, it is time-consuming, especially if you just introduce it to a person who is new to it, and second, after all of what you've said, there is still a chance that they won't invest because of a lack of money. Again, the last time that Bitcoin was trending in social media, people were wanting to invest in it and doing their own research. Let Bitcoin do it again, and for sure they can hear it and will try to jump in. Don't waste your time convincing other people.

It is pointless to expect everyone to embrace bitcoin. I doubt that bitcoin will become a world currency that will be used by every inhabitant of the planet. It seems to me most likely that bitcoin will remain an investment vehicle that will be used, just like stocks in the stock market, such as stocks of technology companies. For example, Google or Apple. Not all people own these shares, right? Moreover, many people have no idea about the stock market at all and have no experience of investing in it. The same, I suppose, will be with bitcoin. There will be people who invest in btc, will own it, and there will be those who are far from all this and, accordingly, will not have a bitcoin.  Here it is impossible to make everyone equal, as under communism, and the market itself will regulate the situation.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If a person is not interested in topic of bitcoin, then you should not continue imposing it. If he showed interest, then you can tell in more detail. There is no need to try to recruit everyone you meet as new adherents of the bitcoin, as if into a sect. Whoever needs it will himself look for ways to obtain information about bitcoin. If you find yourself with him at such a moment and tell him - this will be your best contribution.

The earlier we understand that bitcoin is not for everyone, the better because it saves us the time and energy that we would have used to convince those who are uninterested, to move on to those who are interested and it can also drive adoption faster.

What's your take, guys.

I don't think there is something that will waste someone's time, like when you teach people something and they don't understand all you are saying or they don't even listen to you as well, I believe it will be very painful for the person teaching them. However, it's the same thing when you teach people who don't know anything about bitcoin that they should embrace the currency. The only person I can teach bitcoin to is when he comes to me and says he wants to learn some aspect of bitcoin, I think that is the only thing I can do for now.

However, the truth is that the majority of these people today view this online activity as a scam, or perhaps they have already fallen victim to one and don't want to do it again. You can see that these individuals won't pay attention to you since they will believe the same thing will happen to them, but I think that explaining bitcoin to someone who has no prior knowledge of it can persuade them to comprehend what you are trying to communicate. You know, when you persuade someone to do what you want, you won't tell them about the risk involved, and with bitcoin, you need to be able to understand the risk before investing, so if you accidentally persuade them and they lose, the fault will be on you.

Bitcoin is meant for everyone, but in reality, is it? Although more and more people are accustomed to cryptocurrencies, the average person is unaware of their existence, and even if they do, the majority ignores them or doesn't trust them. Thus, even though Bitcoin is supposed to be a decentralized currency to be used by everyone, it is not for a variety of reasons, some of which were mentioned earlier.

Thus, there's no point in convincing someone how useful or precious it is; trying to convince those who believe the opposite is pointless and time-consuming, for the same reason you wouldn't attempt to convince an atheist to believe in God, and so on.

Forcing people to be part of Bitcoin makes you the same thing we're trying to get away from. The government and other centralized organizations force people into doing specific things even if it's not necessary. You can't send money direct to another country without a third party, you can use a bank account without paying unnecessary charges, and many other things we are forced to do.

These are all the things Bitcoin stands against, so if people begin to force people into using Bitcoin, how is it any different?
I don't see a point in convincing people about Bitcoin. Before anybody has to learn about Bitcoin, they have to have an open mind. If the person doesn't have an open mind, there's no point forcing him to have or use Bitcoin.

Oh man, trying to enforce an idea into your family’s mind is only reason for future family fights. If someone doesn’t want to accept your idea, either come with more arguments and try to convince them peacefully or stop it. It’s even worse if you forcefully get them into BTC and their investment goes wrong. They’ll hate you forever.

Some people embrace banks. They love surveillance, they love new tech that’s overloaded in surveillance. That’s not wrong unless it affects those around them too, who may not want surveillance and being tied up by banks. It’s normal and natural, not everyone’s gonna love something.

That would have been preferable in order to alleviate the burden of exposing someone to something he is not interested in; but, how can we tell who exactly wants Bitcoin awareness?

I believe it is better to continue spreading the good news about Bitcoin so that even those we believe are uninterested may become interested if they correctly comprehend the ideals and transparency of Bitcoin.

You cannot force anyone to embrace Bitcoin, all you have to do is introduce them, teach them and tell them the benefits of being their own bank so that they can stop given bank the chance to be reacher with their money.

It is obviously clear that not everyone would flow along with innovation at the first stance but as time goes on when such innovation is gradually gaining the supposed attention it requires, then you see people start paying attention to it. I believe Bitcoin is still at the early stage of its existence because not everyone has gained knowledge about it.

Most times, it is advisable you do not force or talk people into it because not everyone has the capacity or capability to comprehend the outcome of it when its volatility is on the negative side. People are very funny you know.  When such happens you would be called names for what you have told them about and if it happens that you convinced them into it, you are finished.

You can only tell them about Bitcoin, the positive and likewise the negative aspect of it, and as such, you can leave them to come to a conclusion themselves if they would further key in or not. It should not be a thing of compulsion as humans varies in terms of reasoning.

Well it's good intention if you introduced Bitcoin to anyone but if they show some uninterested attitude then that's fine you don't need to literally convince them because you think that what you are doing in crypto industry, people should adopt that which is wrong. It's actually common sense even in other industry, if other people are good at math and some at arts then they excel at other industry same in the crypto. If they think that's not for them that's all good, you don't need to look better than them because you have knowledge in this industry than them. Just give them time to explore crypto in their own will and phase.
