So this means that when we pick a draw and it is a draw but not the exact result, it will be 3 points correct? Close doesn't exist anymore and it is either exact and 4 points or 3 points. I have been thinking about this last season already because there was a disadvantage in going with a draw as the close option was not existent. But this is an improvement.

that's exactly how it looks and that's why i set the prediction on a draw to 3 points, unless you guess the draw correctly - then it's 4 points

A fair improvement, now it makes sense to bet on a draw. Under the old rules, it was simply unprofitable. While participating in other pools, I noticed that a draw is the most unpopular outcome for forecasters, and probably no one in this pool has ever chosen it as a possible outcome (at least mathematically it was disadvantageous due to the fact that a draw is never the most likely outcome).

Thank you cygan and Sportsbet once more. Will be my first time using kicktipp and I already see some differences with Superbru but everything else looks no brainer.

I have severe doubts over Bayern, but I have even less confidence that BVB can sustain a consecutive challenge. Most teams crumble the season right after failing on final day, but they lost it through their own fault, and have lost Bellingham.

I'll be happy if Bremen score a goal tonight, even at the expense of my pick =)

Yes, last season was my first time of even hearing about Kicktipp, let alone using it, but I just love the simply and very light weight of the page, I'm sure it will load effortlessly even on an Edge or 2G internet speed/device and all through last the season there was never a downtime or lagging page load time, that we'd often encounter on SuperBRU.


Looks like there have been a rule change made to scoring of points for draw matches, compared to how it were last season, it seems every draw gets 3 points first instead of the formal 2 points, or just 4 points outright, looks good to me, because settling for a draw is gutsy to begin so getting just 2 points for going with 0-0, when a match ends 1-1 doesn't look fair enough to me before.

I was about to say that didn't take long after Bayern Munich had scored their first goal off the season Harry Kane already making is mark in the Bundesliga with an assist, and Werder Bremen struck back just 4 minutes later, only to have it ruled out for an offside, If they could have had such chance this early, then 90 minutes is still a long way to get one legitimate goal, right ?

yeah, average scoring per round is higher in this pool than on Superbru, winners usually having around 20 points per round
there is a few rounds with lower points, but that is just when there is a lot of surprises

didn't expect to see Leverkusen winning today over Leipzig, happy to see it, although had Leipzig in the pool

Freiburg ... I knew they should win. Now that I look at my prediction, 1-1, I can't believe my eyes: why the f**k I didn't predict the win for them? Probably in the last millisecond I thought Hoffenheim would be hard to beat at home? Maybe. But I should have stuck with my original feeling, I see it now.

And Werder Bremen vs Bayern Munich, where I predicted 0-3, and the result was 0-4 ... Well, I should have had more confidence in my favourite Bundesliga team.

I saw he missed to submit any of the bonus question either, he could still catch up despite missing a match day, but those bonus points could come back to be very important come the end of the season.

It has been a disappointing round for me. I could have collected many more howver I was unlucky. Especially Bayern Munich's last minute goal cost me 2 points directly.

He was just very lucky. I'm sure that he will be at the last position at the end of the season which is the place he should be at. Maybe there could be a possibility of his finishing the pool ahead of BTCGOSU.

So far, season is starting well for Bayern and Dortmund almost screwed it again. Next round we'll see a clearer tendency where the teams are this season. Leverkusen could be in the mix to compete against Bayern.

For relegation, many teams are at risk this season, especially Heidenheim, Bochum, Darmstadt, Augsburg (and maybe Bremen as well, sorry cygan  )
Biggest surprise compared to last season might be Stuttgart. They are playing well and Guirassy is a very good scorer. Of course, Bochum is an easy opponent but Stuttgart is a team to watch in my opinion.

The Stuttgart - Bochum result is really hard to put into perspective yet. But it was a deserved win as they controlled the game and never allowed Bochum to get back into it. 9 to 1 shots on target also speaks volumes.

But as you said, Stuttgart might be a team to watch and the good thing is that they are now facing a disillusioned RB Leipzig team after their first loss against Leverkusen. If Stuttgart can be successful in that game away against Leipzig, we have two unexpected events at the same time. Leipzig would have the perfect failed start into the Bundesliga and Stuttgart would be in the limelight for the time being.

Union Berlin was strong, but I doubt that their efficiency will be the same in many games. Turning 6 shots on target into 4 goals doesn't happen everyday.

Bundesliga is hard to predict and I'm sure we can be in for surprises. 23 points is a very nice start.

Not sure of Mainz here because Bundesliga has a few teams where changing a coach isn't done very often.
Like Freiburg (Christian Streich, since 2012), Union (Urs Fischer, since 2018), and Heidenheim (Frank Schmidt, who achieved 1st league, coach at Heidenheim since 2007).
I would consider Mainz to be close to that group as well and their current coach, Bo Svensson, has been a Mainz player for a very long time.
For him to get sacked, Mainz really needs to have a bad season.
But we never know, of course. 

Union Berlin was strong, but I doubt that their efficiency will be the same in many games. Turning 6 shots on target into 4 goals doesn't happen everyday.

Union Berlin is always a big surprise. I'm not sure if they can keep their impressive result from last round, especially when playing Champions Leage in addition.
Union is usually very strong at home, while lacking a bit at away games.

yeah, they are stronger at home, and lack more points away from home, but last season was indeed very good for them, and this could be as well, they are just stronger than last season
expected from Augsburg to hold after being 4:3 up, but M'Gladbach scored in overtime and took a point there, making my round worst than I hoped to see it, but overall not unhappy with a start
