But the clean sheet against Dortmund, I don't know if you saw the game, was a shameful event. It wasn't because Bayern was so strong, it was because Dortmund was so bad that I had to turn off the game. I was quite excited because I really hoped that Dortmund playing at home could mean something, no loss in a long time and some self-confidence could have contributed a great deal to a good result. But I think Dortmund's results until then did not properly reflect their performances. The games against Newcastle were the same. Results good, performances ok at best. Bayern put their lucky streak to an end.

Yeah. I was pretty heartbroken not so much for the scoreline but the way they gave Bayern an easy time, but the quicker I move on, the better.

Friday has a game, I'm sure cygan will send out reminders but I've gone in and set my picks. I slip farther and farther down, but I retain faith in a return to the mean.

I just put in my picks a couple of hours ago too, this time for all the pools including the CL, FPL is the only one I'm still keeping a close tab on the news before making a move.

this round will hardly be a decider, since there is too much one-sided matches, where teams are pretty much big favorites, and it is hard to expect that many people will go with surprises
nevertheless, some surprises could happen, not sure about Union Berlin after series of loses in last two months

Yeah, perhaps not this week, but regardless of the one sided matches with heavy slightly favourites, you'd agree that getting the correct scores in a couple of games can be of high important even if everyone get the right result, correct scoreline are always what does the heaving lifting here.

Thank you for the reminder. I would have probably forgotten if you didn't remind me of it. It is quite normal for people to forget about making predictions after national breaks. I let one week slide because of the World Cup break last season. Maybe this prevented me from winning a prize as well. I'm really very bad on the recent weeks despite starting quite good this season.

I would easily settle for 5 exact scores each week
but it does not happening ever

nevertheless, as I am always saying, 10 points per round in Superbru and 15 points per round in KT competitions are surely enough to keep you in good spots
but those are hard to reach as well, and since I have three good rounds in Bundesliga in a row, I am just waiting for a bad round on this point

Yes but when you think about it 15 points means you need to get 6 picks correct and one close result. It's always good to hit the exact result as that boosts the score, but the average of 15 points would total 510 points by the end of the season. @bullrun2020bro won the last season with 419 points. Averaging 15 points would be quite good. At the moment the lead in the table has an average of around 14 points.

I think the Superbru rounds are tougher point wise. I am doing great in the Champions League pool, but luck can change a lot from one round to the next.

Thank you for reminding! Unfortunately, I had a very busy day and only now remembered the Bundesliga. It’s funny that I remembered that I needed to make a forecast for today’s game Alaves - Granada, but due to the fact that I play 3 pools (Italy, Spain, England) in Superbru, for some reason I didn’t think at all that the Bundesliga could also start today.  Eh... It's a pity, today's game will bring everyone at least 2 points.

Again an unsuccessful round for me (which started with the fact that I forgot to make a forecast for the Bayern game), plus as many as 4 draws that I don’t like. And in general, this tour is quite strange - the average performance is lower than the others. Apparently the pause affected international games in this way.

That and Bayern can comfortable watch what the others are doing because Leverkusen plays against Dortmund this week and next week it is Leverkusen - Stuttgart and Dortmund - Leipzig. If Bayern doesn't mess up in their games, the gap could be increased significantly in the upper part of the table before the winter break. Nobody went with Leverkusen as the bonus pick for the first leg of the season, but I hope that Bayern stays behind them anyway.

If we assume that the average number of points per round is around 10, then you are behind by 3 rounds, which is quite serious and such a gap is difficult to make up.
On the other hand, if you consider that abnormal winning results for tours are around 25 points, then literally a couple of victories can return you to business, almost to first place (if your competitors are not too successful).
In general, it’s too early to give up competing for first place.

Thank you for the reminder, incidentally, was on kicktip as I saw it. Freiburg are tipped to lose -- not surprising as they play away and are in a poor patch of form, but I'm not sure because it's against Mainz... so I'm going against the books on at least this one. Not withstanding their impressive result last night to confirm Europa progress into the KO rounds. Hoping Hammers win that group though, I'd love to see Liverpool drawn with them!

if Leverkusen overcome Dortmund with a win, they are putting high their ambitions, it does seem that they have quality, but winning all-round domestically and in Europe does require more depth in the squad
