Although only few people got involved in thispoll, but with more people that comment, most of us on this forum are gambling responsibly.

Weekly gambling budget is good. I think it should not be more than 5% of your weekly income. If you gamble with just 5% out of 100%, I think that is a responsible gambling.

To avoid gambling addiction, it starts from using little budget.

I use a similar rule except that I use 10% of my disposable income. Not just income. After you take away the money for rent, food, taxes, and so on and you take away the money for savings you are left with some pocket money. What I do, usually, is take 10% of that for gambling and 90% goes into Bitcoin or other smart investments. But this only works if you have developed the necessary discipline. If I go against my own rule then I should not be surprised if I end up with nothing. And that can happen to anyone, since we are only human, so I see responsible gambling as something that sometimes goes wrong, but as long as you try to commit yourself to rules, you should be safe.

Unfortunately not all gamblers have a habit with money and will be able to keep record of what they use in gambling. No risk no reward has made many people who see gambling as a way to make money to use up heir last cash, forgetting to gamble with care. Gambling will teach every one who refuse to learn from the lesson of others, their own lesson. If any gambler who has heard about gambling with care choose to ignore and decide to keep gambling recklessly, they will have their own life lessons to learn.

Anything in life needs discipline. It is not only about setting a certain target or budget for your weekly or monthly gambling. But the main problem and challenge lies, if the gambler will be able to maintain that very budget. Sometimes the gambler could be lucky and have streaks of wins. It will entice The gambler to even exceed their budget. So that is why some gamblers do not actually stick to their weekly or monthly budget. It’s a good idea to have maybe daily, weekly or even monthly, so that you will be able to keep track on the amount you are spending on gambling. The only people that keep track on the amount they spend on gambling are the once that gamble just for fun or relaxation, but addicted gamblers don’t care about the amount they spend on gambling, you mentioned about investments or business, addicted gamblers prefer to gamble with their money than investing or running any business. We all have heard when addicted gamblers do sell their properties just to gamble, they sell their assets. If the amounts they have spent on gambling is being calculated, then it will have changed their life if they have invested it in other things.

I greatly agree that we must plan our gambling engagement so that we have tracks of our activity in real time and know whether we are losing to much and decide to take a break.  We must also allocate a certain amount of our free money and not toss it on the gambling platform.  We must secure some funding in the future because we don't know when we'll be needing extra fund.

I don't do the concept like you said, but it's a great suggestion for the community. personally, I have self-management with my gambling. I mean, I don't need to check statistics from time to time like you said. because, I'm just an ordinary gambler who plays just for fun regardless of winning or losing. because, for me winning is something that is mandatory and losing is something that is certain. for me, nothing is certain, I can gamble with a bankroll according to my needs, but usually I have a standard bankroll according to my version. even then, on the condition that I have met the basic needs that are my obligation as the head of the family. the rest, I will set aside for urgent needs. after the basic household needs are finished, I can have fun with the bankroll that I had previously set aside.

By the way, we agree with the theme of the title of this thread. that in truth, we must be careful in gambling. I have a tip, if someone who likes to gamble, don't always force your heart's will when you are in a bad situation. if we gamble with a purely luck-based type of gambling, don't force yourself to beat the system. because, it will end in disappointment even though we have made deposits many times. A gambler doesn't need to have his stats, it should be more losses than wins. That's why everyone must limit their budget for gambling and they must discipline (obey) with the budget limitation. A gambler can make a budget limitation daily, weekly, or monthly. I personally prefer to limit my funds daily, it is the most effective way to avoid gambling excessively. But I also limit the total amount of money to spend monthly, it should be under 5% of my monthly income.

You're right. Limiting the funds is one of the preventive ways to avoid addiction. People who gamble with no limitation for the funds, probably have more chance to get addiction. Honestly, stats are just nifty know-whats in the grand scheme of things, it shouldn't be a baseline of how you play if ever you figure out a way to find out what your stats is, cause sometimes it may even urge you to play more which could cause you to subject yourself into gambling addiction just so you can neutralize your stats or increase them to make it look as if you're a great player. To me, what matters most is well, the bankroll that they are working with, and what plans/costing strategy they would use to make the whole stuff last without them depositing more money in the process. That's called discipline right there, and that is one of the most important things you should know as a gambler.

There’s a study yes but I believe the gamblers will not make any effort to understand it since their focus is to have fun and make some money even if the probability to win is low. Being responsible is hard if you’re too focus on the money side, this is gambling and those who gamble with greed usually ended up losing everything. If you want to have a better experience in gambling, then focus on what really matters to you.

Yes, avoid chasing losses and if you lose, resist the urge to try and recover your losses by betting more because it can lead to a dangerous cycle.

Case to case basis actually because honestly im this kind of type on which im really that not really putting up some tallies about on how much i have spent already on gambling.I dont care if i do lost up that kind of allocation
 on which im not really that keeps on looking back with those amounts.As long those money is really that allocated with gambling and it isnt really that compromising my finances then it should really be just that fine.
If you are really that too caring about the spending you do have then it would really be your choice whether you would really be making out some tally or list on how much you do spend but this is really that something that

When it comes to gambling I am more carefree about the result or my goal, I don't need a list of my expenses because what's the use for, you allocate the amount you enjoy the game what will you achieve if you are going to know the exact amount you spent in gambling, just allocate 5% of your money, use it to treat yourself for a job well done or for any accomplishment you had for the week.
Treat casinos as entertainment places and allocate money knowing that it is not that a place to yield profit, once you do you are good to go.

That's why money management is important in gambling apart from emotion and risk management. We must really have the ability to manage our money in gambling, because if not, we will be out of control in spending money for gambling, sometimes it can even drain our finances or savings when we really can't afford it. From this money or fund management, we can have several benefits. Not only to control the outflow of money but also to evaluate our gambling activities. when we don't have good money management skills, we will have difficulties in any way, including when we gamble, gambling cannot be arbitrary, gambling must be full of calculations, small mistakes will make us lose money.  but i'm sure many gamblers don't care about this, they gamble without calculation and not even a few become gambling addicts,

A very healthy and commendable mindset, if only every gambler see gambling just the way you have explained above, hardly are there going to be issues like being addicted to gambling, or someone stealing their uncles money because they want to continue to fuel their gambling activity, or worst of all, somebody committing suicide because he or she lost a very huge amount of money to gambling, and that money was money the person never prepaid to loss.

I think most already have a sense of how much they are only allowed to lose, or allowed to gamble with at any given point in time. Usually, the exact figures recommended by people aren't really followed. Almost all will surely go beyond that figure, and that's them being careful already.
