What were your expectations before the start of the tournament? Based on the quality of your roster reaching the semifinals was a minimum, no?

At least SF if Nikola Jokic was in the roster. Reaching the Finals without their best player can be considered an overachievement for them.

There’s a potential for another upset since USA is down by 10pts with 5 minutes remaining on the 4th quarter. I’m sensing same vibes with Canada vs Serbia since USA can’t cut the lead while team like Germany is very good on holding on lead by just answering every aggression of USA and provide good defense.

I’m surprised too about the result of both games since this is semi finals while dominant team usually play more aggressive on this round.

Germany defeated the USA by only 2 points. Although Edwards was the reason for the big comeback, he was also the reason why they lost due to his costly turnover. The lack of communication in the dying seconds of the game really hurt them. What can I say? Germany played great defense, and their excellent chemistry was on display.

The MVP for the game, in my opinion, is Dennis Schröder. With him on the floor, the offense runs smoothly.

It’s already over. We already have double upset. They have a chance yet they wasted it by  committing a miscommunication passed to Jackson Jr. I wonder he passed to Jackson while this player is not a 3 point player. He commit mistake that cause them a game because it only a 2 points or 1 ball possession to tie or win the game.

That was a wild ending with too many errors on both sides and it was almost a comeback win for the US. You have to give it to Reaves for carrying his team up until the end. Lakers should be delighted with his growth during this tournament.

Another upset indeed. Most of us probably have thought that it's going to be USA that will win against Germany but with just 2 points, it was a close match.

While many of us thought that it's going to be Canada and USA that will meet in the finals, it seems that it won't be. At least that the rumors have been broken that it is what the FIBA officials want to happen for them to garner more ticket sales. It's still interesting though that no favorite teams will face each other in the finals.

Bad mistake by Edwards at that last possession. That could've been their saving shot. He knows it, after that error, there's no going back anymore. This is why chemistry is so important with every team.

The third quarter is when the Germans did their best job. The ball is rotating, even Theiss is kicking the ball out for an open three-pointer. Thankfully, Franz was hot and every shot was sinking in and so was Obst.
Then Schroder, good ball handling, keeping the ball protected to take his time and let the play work out. I love how he is facilitating his teammates and he is not selfish to give the ball to anyone. Trust is on a high level.

Then the defensive plays of Isaac Bonga. He was there for a big reason, a big block against Mikal Bridges.
Congratulations to Germany, well deserved win. I love that game, teeth clenching, heart pumping, and exciting.

Epic game between USA and Germany and deserved win. Probably it was highest scoring semifinal ever. About USA defense - how you can win game when you let opponent to score almost in every attack. C'mon, almost 100 points conceded already after 3 quarters. Franz Wagner was great as usual, but real MVP is Andreas Obst. He is just role player of Bayern, but he really makes difference in Germany nationak team.
Really glad that we will have European final. NBA? World Champions of what?

What were your expectations before the start of the tournament? Based on the quality of your roster reaching the semifinals was a minimum, no?

Serbia had very easy path in group stage and 2nd round and first real challenge for them had to be 1/4 final with Lithuania. Unexpected loss against Italy didn't affected them much, so, yeah, I think that semifinals was their minimal goal.

Lithuania won the other day and were the underdogs to win against Slovenia with Luka Doncic.

The USA seemed lost on offense; they appeared to be playing more of a one-on-one style of basketball compared to Germany, which clearly had a game plan. I think the USA lacks a good point guard, unlike Germany, who has Dennis Schröder, who truly imposes his influence on the team. I didn't see much one-on-one basketball from Germany; Dennis doesn't even force his shots; he makes everyone better on the court. That's what I believe was the reason why the USA lost, despite having more talent than Germany.

Congratulations to Germany and now these current roster already made history for Germans considering it's their first time to head-to-head in the FWC Finals. I think they might get that history to bring home that trophy if they play well just like what they did today. Now USA will assemble the Redeem Team 2.0 for FWC, as I've said before that USA roster isn't that of a big shot compare to what they deploy on 2010 and 2014 FWC.

Yeah, for sure there could be bettors here who lost big in the semi finals as both favorite are upset, specially USA wherein we thought that they can manage to win the FIBA again. But then, when they got their first lost, it's already a bad sign.

Germany vs Serbia, gonna be a great final match. And I do agree I like the chances of Serbia here and the odds even the ML are too good to be not taken this early as it might change a bit. And it just shows that talent is not everything, teams need to have chemistry and defense and that's what Germany and Serbia shows in this game.

wasn't sure, QF for sure, SF was wishful thinking
but it seems that not having Jokic is almost good for this team, they made their own squad, and Bogdanovic is real leader in this team (Jokic would certainly help, but not sure that it would look much better with him)

Avramovic was great today as well, put Alexander in the pocket, now against Germany, should be gold

It was really surprising for me to see USA losing to Germany honestly. USA didn't bring many superstars to this tournament though but they were still the strongest team on paper. If USA used the balls better in the last moments they still could have won the match.

USA bring their superstars for the Olympics mostly. If they do the same for the World Cup as well I can't even imagine how strong they could be.    I would really like to watch players like Steph Curry here. He would be really unstoppable. Anyway when it comes to who can win the tournament now I think it will be Serbia.

I did not watch the Germany-USA game, thought it would be boring. To be honest, maybe I don't give enough credit to the German team - I saw the highlights and they really played well.
The thing that I can't understand is how can this USA team not defend better? I mean - the matchups are in their favor, all they need to do is just give some basic effort.
