I totally agree with your opinion about the possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. A problem can only be solved when it's firstly assumed as a problem otherwise it'll continue to linger and might even get to stage where nothing can be done about it to safe the situation.
Most of these gambling addicts will always tell you that they're not addicts rather they're in full control of what they're doing making it difficult for anyone to talk them out of their predicament.

A big problem hides with that mentality with a gambler can't admit that they are already having addiction problem there's no help that you can provide or there's nothing that they will listen, knowing that inside them they can't no longer control but continue to insist that they still in control and they still can avoid any problem that may occur while participating into gambling.

You can't do anything with someone who wanted to push for more instead of re-assessing the situation and start quitting away
from this activity that already harming their mental and financial capabilities.

Yes, I agree with you, the various advice that comes to them (gamblers) will most likely not have any effect and if it does happen it is very unlikely, as you said they do it with enthusiasm for things they find fun and yes that's how it is exists. it's too much for them, but I agree that if their passion disappears or they get bored of doing it then their interest will also disappear, and maybe they will stop themselves. I agree and much more impossible if the whole life we keep on gambling. Why? because the more we gamble, the more we lose - a sad reality. If ever we make big wins today, we possibly lose big amounts in the next few days. I know someone who's like this. Of course, for gambling and other vices addicts, they are in denial about their addiction. No matter how much you tell them and the consequences of their actions, their minds are not open about it. They won't understand that they are already in a bad state, being addicted to gambling (or other addictions) and they'll never see how much it affects them and the people around them. Even me, I am so curious on how you could open someone's mind and understanding about his situation so he could try to change their habits. Like, what kind of words do they need to hear for them to realize these things and try to stop their addiction. Just like planning way ahead of time so that you won't lose your sense of direction and mistakes are somehow avoidable because you already though about it. And from that point, you should check your situation from time to time to see if things are going exactly as planned but if there are some deviations, then I guess you should also know how to rectify that so that you can go back to your original course.
