I simply can't find the connection between the headline and OP's thread... Reckless gambling is when we start pushing like there's a big win waiting for us just around the corner, and yes sometimes it starts after winning x2/x3/x4/x5 of the deposit we made, and instead of withdrawing we start playing like crazy until we bust all the winnings and deposit. Happened to me a lot of times over the years... So I like the headline, it describes a certain situation that happens a lot of times in gambling.

But the thread about the addiction is a bit silly... Some people get hooked sooner and some later, people are different. I guess it's not important if someone is addicted and when it started... we are all addicts in some way or ways, it's important that we have some control and know how much we can relax with gambling and all other fun stuff.

Most of the time that's the initial reason why they got addicted. But, it could also be the other way around. After losing. Chasing what was gone. Getting revenge. Until the gambling site gives you back the money but you would want more and not just ROI. Greed had been the main reason for addiction.

I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.

It depends on the person. Some people will feel the urge to continue playing after winning but some people started to become addicted after feeling the urge to get a win. Ive also noticed this, but before people are really smart, they are just hitting the new account luck or algorithm of the casino, and they will start to withdraw their money, but right now we can't do it because of the betting requirements before you can withdraw. Winning $200 will be a motivation that more efforts will land you $500 winning and  when you chase the $500 winning and eventually earns it, you will have more conviction that those who wins $10k are not luckier than you are.

I have found out that anytime I keep betting to gain the past loses I had, I mostly end up in loses because of the greedy spirit that will keep telling me to gamble more.
