Bought some bitcoin at the next bear runs but have not been able to sell them because the price has not sky rocketed yet. This is that holding pattern where we need to maintain our cool and as the market tests our patience some of us will lose their mind and sell, dont be that person.

Or last bull run makes you dumped and you are still trying to regain what you have lost? I did sell at the bull, but I also buy back at bear. That cycling of money is necessary to continue the multiplication of assets.

These concepts are way more easier when used in context with bitcoin. Altcoins dont have that much range of movement.

I learned lots of experience during the bull run and that's taking profit will not hurt as a matter of fact it is the right thing to do during that market uptrend. Not all the time HODL is important but selling atleast would be a good thing to do. I still do earn from that bull year of 2021, but I also regret some decisions that I did not make. Still, hoping this incoming bull market I will make the best out of it.

In this scheme, absolutely all prices collapsed, not only altcoins, but bitcoin as well. It matters only for speculators who use short-term or medium-term investment strategies. For a person who bought ETH for 5 years, for example, does it matter what happens in 2022 or 2023? He doesn't care, as the goals are much further than these temporary market phenomena. As for me, I just calmly stick to my HOLD strategy without getting nervous about some next market event. Just have to be patient and wait for a new bull cycle.

Well, doesn't really huge compared to the bull season but still, it was okay knowing that it was hard to make a good profit during the bear season. Because of what I did after selling my coins during the bull season, I'd started to accumulate and hold. Sometimes I sell some but the majority is on buying and holding as I wait for the next bull season. That is why I don't consider 2022 and 2023 is a profitable but rather I consider this as an accumulation year in anticipating the upcoming Bullrun.

I know this is Altcoin Discussion board, but since we're like also asking for the general, I would like to say that the little increases that Bitcoin gained last week kinda gave me profit still. Sold a little bit for those coins that I usually use for buying and selling in the short-term although I don't day trade. It's just like my side hustle though.

Right now I don't really try to regain when Bitcoin fell below 30k, just being really patient like usual.

Not sure still got some plenty of loses from the last major dump. But its good that its recovering now. Yes there are gains but still in loss due to bigger dump after the bull run. I think the only way to recover is to experience again another great bull season in order to regain everything back. But took some profits last bull run anyway. Thats a big lesson learned for everyone to take profits when its still in pretty good shape.

true, scammers are smarter how to find a position to start creating shitcoin projects in bull season and until bear season comes, which leaves them ready to go to wait for bull season to come again next year. Think its worth noting that even altcoins aren't safe in bull mrkts. Just the way every upcoming dev was looking for ways to launch any scammy coin with "PEPE" attached to its name, folks will also be out to make huge cashouts in similar fashion during bullish periods. Any project could be a scam tbh, you'd need a substantial amount of research and some luck before investing everytime.

Only two weeks of time? I think it needs months to years to recover and even surpass the previois bull run. We are close to bitcoin halving, I remember how the hype of bitcoin move and its literally trigger the bull season last time. Who knows if its gomna be the same or not after the event. Most of them get losses than profits because they buy at the highest price of the average coin including BTC, I think it is common for some people to be greedy and expect more profits, but it seems that the market turned around badly for all investors and forced to sell with a state of loss and or holding back, that's what makes him very nervous.

With this incident, I think it's important for us to be aware of the cycle in bitcoin, after the formation of a new ATH, a decline will be inevitable, and I will find the benefits that I will get in the current cycle with the bitcoins and altcoins that I still hold today.

From the previous bull run, I gained some potential in my portfolio, whether there were better trading strategies I had followed in between them. Also, I was at a loss this season of bull run, that is not due to the coin, that is due to the selection of some dumped coins.

They were some lucky holdings that made a substantial profit which i was not expecting and all credit goes to Elon Musk for shilling Dogecoin which i was holding for a long time and usually gamble with it as the casino i play accept Doge and once Elon started to troll and pump the coin, i was fortunate enough to dump everything and earn a good profit and luck is a major factor in this market .

There's no pump happening in 2023. So many altcoins were still dumping so hard. I just saw a slight recovery from altcoin but it's not that much like bitcoin who has been doing more than 100% recovery from its bottom price. Altcoin is not yet running again.
We may see that happens for the next years but i doubt for this years. There have been many things happened with the crypto market after 2021. I think that we are still far away from the bullrun.

I have and why not? i got a lot of money from selling at the top and buy again at the bottom. If you were aware if there were also many people make good amounts of money from altcoins too.
There were also some who were missing the opportunity to sell at the top. The last bullrun has been making people dumping their tokens at a very high price. It's unlikely they were suffering the lost.

I'm a long term hodler and already experienced both bearish and bullrun season. That being said, if there's an opportunity to take profit i'm not letting the chance go because not often the market is in favor to us to sell. So If I see a significant growth to my holdings, it's the time to take profit and buy back once the price decline again.

Hence, it's a must that you have plan and aware when to sell your coins. Usually alts are good for short term hodling due to the high risk compared to holding Bitcoin. But if you know that it's not a meme or a shitcoin and has potential then it's up to your decision on when you plan to sell. Just don't greedy by letting the chance passed without taking profit.

The majority of those that earned any money are the investors that put their money on good coins, as they are the most predictable out of all the coins we have, however new investors often choose to chase the potential performance of the many coins we have and this often means investing in shitcoins.

And while there is money to be made with those coins, the risk is incredibly high and almost everyone that chooses that path becomes a long term loser.

I gained DISAPPOINTMENT, and REGRET.

Disappointed on myself that I didn't took the opportunity at that time to sell my Bitcoins, and my altcoins. Regret that I didn't do any action. I was few buttons away from selling all of my assets at that time, and I always look at my portfolio at that time. I really wanted to sell at that time, but I was hesitant, thinking that it will go up even more. TBH, I didn't have any concrete selling plan at that time because I'm thinking of holding all of my assets for a longer period of time. Turns out it was a completely wrong decision for me to wait even more.

I know, I know that there are some here who have plans of holding their Bitcoins, and other altcoins for a long period of time, maybe longer than mine, but I believe in the saying "Don't fall in love with your assets." If there's an opportunity to sell then sell it as long as you have profits on it, and wait for another opportunity to happen again. There are lots of opportunities in the crypto market. If only I sold all of my crypto holdings last bull run in 2021, I will keep half of my money to re-buy again during the bear market. Turned out I didn't bought as much cryptocurrencies as I wanted to.

I will not miss this another opportunity again. When the bull run starts, I will sell all of my holdings.
