I can assure you that in my case this was the case. I had a considerable increase in my incomes in the fall of 2021. At that time the inflation due to the massive printing of COVID-19 was already noticeable, even if some politicians later wanted to blame it only on the war in Ukraine, but the fact is that I saw prices rising, people complaining, the news talking about inflation, and I hardly noticed it. I could pay for the price increase by spending more, saving more and investing more.

Normally financial discipline starts with a control of expenses and income to pay consumer debts, if you have them, and to save. The next step that makes your finances succeed is to increase your incomes and if possible obtain several sources of income.

Without a doubt, finding more sources of income is the ultimate way of improving someone's financial status. Maybe some of those so-called lazy people are not lazy after all and only need something to motivate themselves? 1. Make a realistic budget
           In budgeting it is important that we consider everything. It should be realistic and achievable, It cannot be said that the budget is only 20$ for a week for food if you are 8 people who will eat at home. Plan what to eat every day and budget for it. Write down all the ingredients or how much to buy and how much it will cost in pmashae or gasoline if there is a car. Do everything with consideration and do it consistently.
Stop yourself from buying things you don't need, like buying coffee at starbucks when you can just buy 3 in 1 sachet coffee that just tastes like coffee. Because if we cannot prevent such expenses, include them in the budget.

2. Find out what triggers the cost
            It's important that we know this if it's stress, boredom, pressure from friends, need to follow the trend and so on. It is important that we have discipline in these things if you want to avoid overspending. For example, if you're bored, you hang out online shopping at Lazada, Amazon, and others, this habit should be replaced with something more productive, such as cleaning the house and others where you can avoid it and do something good.

Op you really do well for reminding us on those extra expenses in our lifestyles. We have to let go of many things in our lives to make it in life. Giving a scale of preference before spending is very good. The scale of preference should be draft out every first day of the day, week and the month so that you will know when what to spend your money for. But whereby you just go and out and spend, you will spend more than the expectation of the day. Though everyone has their ways of spending.

Setting out budget to spend is very good but if the person is that type that like flexing by going to bars and clubs, enh!! That budget of the day will be exceeded. Unless the person would take a discipline action against himself. Online shopping will be more expenses and I will not advise anyone to do that. What you can buy $20 in locality, you order it from online with $35 to $40. luxurious lifestyle is the one that consumed people money these days. And what worked for you might not work for you. But there are things in life on which do give out you no choice but rather to deal with it specially if you cant be able to make out some investment and see up the opportunity on earning more via other means of works or job

Having an investment can really make you more financially stable if your business is working well, but for us, or for me, who is just a normal person that is just living from paycheck to paycheck, it is very difficult to take a risk and start an investment because, let's say, if I invest in something that needs capital, I will be sacrificing my budget for it, unless I need to find another source of income just to sustain it. I get both of your points, and partly agree with them. However, we couldn't achieve anything if it weren't for some efforts and even sacrificing. For me this is a choice between dependent and autonomous life. Being a hired employee will not lead me to complete independence and freedom. There are many ways to earn extra income, you don't need investment or business. If you are a risk averse person, you can also increase your income by working overtime or part-time jobs.  while that won't make you rich or live a lavish life, it's certainly better than living on a single source of income.  but like I said, it's not easy because it depends on each person's situation and thoughts.  not everyone works hard or not everyone easily gets a job, especially those with low education.
