Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback

I see thousands of posts about football, a few hundred about other sports, and the rest are just almost non-existent. I'm a gambler myself but I stopped a while ago betting on soccer, all the Nxx in American sports and I'm just betting now and then on horse racing, from one penny at a time to some larger sums in case of a grade 1 event or festival.
But here it seems like there is little interest in this, is that because horse racing is just unpopular or is it because, well,.... the casinos that sponsor most signatures here are not promoting it? So no post quota to make?   My old local gambling forum that covered this is also near death, I'm sitting in the sun 8 hours a day boring myself to death, so here comes feedback next part :

- Do you honestly think running a prediction game (run with my own funds) would attract genuine interest in this and not just shitposting quota?
- Would let's say 1-2 mbtc (per event, about one or two per month) be enough for people here to at least open a few links and take a look at what hoses are running and what their timeform is?
- Is anyone here actually gambling on horse racing?

I never understood horse racing. It always felt very risky to me although by any chance if you hit the winning horse then you win a lot. I like less hassle when I am in entertainment. My first choice is football. I place bets, watch football and sleep LOL

I don't know. I just feel horse racing has fallen from grace when comes to what actually is appealing to the average online gambler nowadays.
When I think of horse racing the images that come to my mind are those of my grand father or my old uncle dressing up, picking up his money towards the closest betting please where they can partake in such activity. To me it would be much of a hassle just to wager money on something I don't personally find to be entertaining.

The current generation of gamblers seek for more immediate and fast paced experiences, I guess; I like dices and plinko, since they are game where I can choose how much risk I wanna take and hot fast I want to go, with horse racing I cannot be in control of many of those characteristics which make online games to be attractive to me.

It would take someone really passionate on horses to make the time to bet on races, it is easier to be passionate on football, baseball or even basketball, imo.

In my humble opinion, Horse racing is not popular to me because this sports is not easy to follow unlike other sports which stats and livestream is available on many website.

I once bet on horse racing but have a hard time finding a live stream to watch the match online especially those horse racing from Japanese. I believe this sports will be popular if the streaming for the live match is accessible including the horse stats.

I prefer football, table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball. Others that I prefer are casinos games like Roulettes and slots. I do not prefer to go for horse, dog or animal racing when there are other available options that I like to go for.

Gambling is risking, that is what gambling is. It comes with higher odds though, but more likely the gambler can lose.

Horse racing is very popular on oldies because my uncle is still into it u til now. I think most of the forum member hanging out on gambling board are Genz or Millennials which is why they preferred the popular sports over this animal sports that is not widely available globally.

Horse racing is very hard to win since it’s betting option consists of multiple choices that more than the typical 2 option. I believe it’s very rare for a young one to have a passion on horse unless their family is involved on it or they are from the community that this sports is popular.

Because many are not into horse racing sports and many people doesn't have access to watch such game so maybe that is the reason why this is not popular. Unlike sports betting like football,basketball and boxing where anywhere in the world have access and majority love this sports that's why many sportsbook commonly offer this since this is most adopted and have huge demand to people around. Availability is for sure the main reason for this question and its not surprising to see that this is not popular.

I don't know what's faster than a 5 or 6 furlong race like the upcoming sprint cup 
You know the time, you place the bet, and in 1 minute it's game over, Your horse blew the start and you can close the website already. Plus talking about a thrilling experience, one 2 miles 4f long jumping race with 16 fences that your horse can blow any time is more thrilling than the 11-meter penalties, It's one jump and all over not like you have the chance to recover. Probably it's just me but horse racing looks like chucking down monster energy cans one after other while roulette is sipping Aperol.

Not going to promote any website but almost every one of the established ones offers live coverage, I watch all UK and Irish festivals directly on the betting platform. For Japan and Australia, different time zone that's a pain in the ass and ruins everything! Same with stuff from US like the Kentucky Derby which I never, neverrrr! managed to see it live in the last 10 years!

Horse racing is very hard to win since its betting option consists of multiple choices that are more than the typical 2 options.

You can just go with a winning horse, or a 2-place insurance, there is no need to focus on things like a trifecta!
But, in my short-lived thread, I did manage to hit a perfect 1,2,3 place on the second day.

If we are to look at global ranking, we could see that football soccer is the most common and acceptable gambling sport game that is more applicable to most gamblers, it's the highest most played game, let's also consider boxing and golf, it could be observed that even though golf is globally recognized, gamblers don't have much interest in betting on it as they do to football or boxing, you would rarely see gamblers playing golf or horse riding because there's no nuch spectators to fan the interest on live games as they appear on virtual games as well, despite we could see golf in gambling is well recognized after soccer, yet people gamble less in golf, there could be other reasons related to how people understand the mode of how these games are being conducted, horse could as well be a seasonal and what people appreciate most is what they see, do and practice themselves and they tender to gamble it most as found with football.

Personally, I've never really been a fan of sports that involve using animals, like horse racing. I get that these days, there are likely regulations in place for the treatment and better standards of care of these animals, but it wasn't always like that. In the past, animals in sports often had a rough time, and some were even pushed to their limits.

The difference between sports involving humans and those involving animals is choice. Human athletes willingly participate and make their own decisions, but animals don't have that luxury. They're compelled to perform. I'm not an animal activist or anything like that, but I do believe it's inhumane to use animals for human entertainment.

I guess horse racing betting is a thing of the past. Now there are many offline and online casinos that allow you to try your luck or use the services of betting casinos with a bet, for example, on football. It seems to me that the focus of public interest has shifted from horse  racing betting to sports betting, that is, the direction is becoming of little interest to gamblers.

In my honest opinion, why it is not popular in the bitcointalk is betting on horse racing is more popular in the middle and old aged generation whereas bitcointalk is filled with younger generation people if I am not wrong.

Another possible reason its kind of considered as rich people game even though it is somewhat true but new era people are not really interested in wasting their time gathering knowledge about all the horses and riders and predicting out of it, they simply lean towards fast forward games Click = Bet = Win or lose.

Running a prediction event will surely attract more people but I bet it's just to meet the quota not really going to be people who are actually into the horse race tradition but there is no harm in trying and seeing how it goes.

You have to try it to see the results to conclude whether it is a waste of quota or if you can continue it in the next round. Whatever gift you prepare, as long as it can make them curious, they will try it. I have never gambled on horse racing because I don't understand how to play. Besides, I'm not interested in trying it because gambling uses animals.

I would rather bet on other sports, such as football, than gamble on animals. Gambling on horses is not popular on this forum, but you can create a thread to see how much response there is from all the members.

I do think that one of the factor that makes horse racing not as popular compared to other prediction games/sports is due to its somehow outdated game. People would rather watch sports or other kinds of relatively new sports than horse racing. Though I may be bias due to the fact that I have no experience in this field, but I think those reasons are what stops me from actually exploring/trying this field.

I remember when I was a kid, I visited this gambling house where a group of people were watching a single small television with horses racing. Whenever a certain color or number wins, some get mad and others rejoice.

Maybe one of these days, I would actually try or consider horse racing but as of now, it is off my radar.

I went for higher studies in England back in 2012. Ahh, what a country. I was in New Castle and used to travel to University of Sunderland. It was the Chester road that caught my eye with William Hill and Coral. Both of them were popular amongst us and we used to spend plenty of time on weekends to bet on cricket, play roulette.

However, I would like to point out my experience that is related to this post. There were many many old peeps that used to sit and bet on the horse racing and greyhound racing. As you would guess I did ask one of them how do you play it. They said you gotta know the horse and the player who rides it. Then only it is possible for you to understand who’s gonna win the game. At least predict that more accurately with that info. They even had news papers with them, I’m sure they must have studied it. I had more fun betting on other games rather than horse racing because simply I did not understood the game.

So I am not really sure if this game is going to be very popular amongst the other game loving peeps or perhaps the youngsters.

Another thing is popularity. In this part of the world where I come from, we barely see a horse so the idea of horse racing games does not really interest us in any ways. We do not see such as big deal and come to talk of it, for the fact that one would need to know the performance of the horses before betting one would constantly stay observant to watching out for the performance of the horses to always bet for which I think is not feasible so therefore this is amongst the numerous reasons I think people do not pay interest on horse racing.

Football is a general sport that is popular in may countries worldwide, that is why there are always many post and discussions about football.

In places where Horse Racing is popular there will be people who are interested in betting on it, but I do not think that there are many people like that here that is why there is not so much discussion about it here in the forum. If you start a discussion on it, other forum members who are interested in horse racing will be happy to see it and be quick to engage on the discussion. Many of them are just waiting for someone to start the discussion.

Myself I have not seen a horse for sometime now probably because I don't go to places I could see them lately at least places like the zoo but dogs are more common to see around and to know what capacity they could be used including sports and gambling. This will likely be the situation of the larger youth gambling population and of course they make up more of the gambling population. My point also is that it looks like horse racing is dying out and most casinos also don't usually include it on their games, they prefer card and table games like roulette, slots, blackjack. Moreover, majority of gamblers like the soccer game, I guess that is where the attention is and that is where casinos chase the gambling population to.

Where I live betting on horse racing is probably the most widely accepted form of gambling. There are places everywhere like bars that have betting on horse racing available right there. There’s no need for a casino or to have to jump online and find a way to gamble. I imagine that is part of the reason that betting on horse racing isn’t as popular online.
