Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback

I see thousands of posts about football, a few hundred about other sports, and the rest are just almost non-existent. I'm a gambler myself but I stopped a while ago betting on soccer, all the Nxx in American sports and I'm just betting now and then on horse racing, from one penny at a time to some larger sums in case of a grade 1 event or festival.
But here it seems like there is little interest in this, is that because horse racing is just unpopular or is it because, well,.... the casinos that sponsor most signatures here are not promoting it? So no post quota to make?   My old local gambling forum that covered this is also near death, I'm sitting in the sun 8 hours a day boring myself to death, so here comes feedback next part :

- Do you honestly think running a prediction game (run with my own funds) would attract genuine interest in this and not just shitposting quota?
- Would let's say 1-2 mbtc (per event, about one or two per month) be enough for people here to at least open a few links and take a look at what hoses are running and what their timeform is?
- Is anyone here actually gambling on horse racing?

I used to bet on horse racing before and it's really fun to watch and it's heart wrenching you actually see this horse run in front of you. Not really sure though, maybe it's the odds or the profit margin? Although in Middle East and Australia it's very popular, or maybe the notion that horse racing can be fix. After all, the jockey is the one controlling this magnificent animals and so if they will slack obviously the horse will not run faster.

I have to take a look at my PM as there was someone who also says that he wants to have this kind of prediction game.

It is really just that among on the list Horse racing is really that quite known or really that popular compared to others.
Also its really that more interesting.It might not be heard that much on this forum but outside it does really have that
huge number of recognition.

I only bet on horse racing whenever I see other gamblers share their predictions on the best horse to pick in certain races. If i'm on my own, I probably wouldn't have the slightest interest in the sport, and i'm thankful they introduced me to horse racing, even if it's only for a short while.

If the prediction contest doesn't have a lot of requirements, then there's a possibility. It might be worth suggesting this sport for the next season of BSFL, but it'll depend on the schedule of the next big event.

I get your point here mate, gambling is a general event we all get entertained with, also, we can consider some games as the trending ones while others as not, just as you can see that in gambling today, we are having the sport betting gamblers as the most populated gamblers in the sector, who knows maybe it's because it is the most recognized sport event and the reason being also a live event that looks more real and trusted, though this doesn't mean everyone fall under this same category but we have the majority in it, how many people are that interested in horse riding, horse racing and horse gambling.

Honestly, Horse racing is fairly niche even in real world. When it comes to spectators with respect to Soccer/football and other sports. Information about the horses aren't readily available unlike major sports. You have to be really into it or have access to facilities to look at the horses and their previous performances to have an idea about potential winners.

If you are looking purely from gambling perspective, there are better and accessible alternatives available like dice, slots, and a lot more of casino games. Horse racing is a rich old man sport (kinda like golf but even more niche when it comes to accessibility). While, most crypto gamblers are fairly young who have access to plathora of gambling options.

I'm sure there might be a few people interested in Horse racing and crypto but that's a fairly small percentage.

Have to agree with the both of you, I could use my country as an example, I remember when I used to live in Lagos state, one of the biggest states here in Nigeria, Horse racing was, and I believe its still is a very popular game amongst the local casinos over there, gamblers could bet on the game both offline and online.

But then, I left Lagos state and relocated to the state where I currently live, and its as if I moved to an entirely new world when it comes to such games as horse racing, most people over here don't even know what horse racing is, aside from those that are hard core gamblers who have been gambling for years and have probably traveled different places.

So yeah, personally, I consider horse racing a classic or rather, a vintage game, some of old, basically, its a game that is mostly enjoyed by old forks, newer generation don't seem to enjoy such games anymore.

The only people I have seen bet horse races are old people and I don't think that there's not a lot of people that's in this forum that has bet on one even if they say so, I really miss betting or at the least watching one because there's 2 spots in my city that I know of that hosts horse race bets, I see them on my commute back when I was still a highschool student and I can remember that almost always, it's the same people there that's watching and holding their tickets with their bets on it, now those 2 spots have been closed. Yes that is right,  the availability of a game depend in the location of the person because there are some games that only exist on ground which as categorised as traditional games this games sometime only exist during festivities a d after then players will go back to the various life until next festivals before another rounds are held.

Yeah you are correct, the popularity of sports totally depends on country or environment because people tend to focus more on the kind of sports they normally see and participate all there environment, for example were I come from horse racing does not attract people because it tend to be participated by the only people who has money and also with the belief that horse racing is risky that someone could easily get injured on the process.

So the dominant sports in my environment is soccer because of it popularity and it doesn't take much to start playing football, so however people tend to love more on the kind of sports they can even do themselves.

It do really just turn out that there are really certain sports which is more than that popular than on the other which makes that other sports or things to be that covered and not really that something could be heard of but still there are people who do really engage on certain sports despite on not being that not populart. There are many activities that are very unpopular and are quite successful outside, this is something that we must Accept , when casinos try to do something like bringing this to the casino, well, it is something that should be applauded, at least that sees that the casino cares about the best things so that they can be done or to Please the players , so one day I saw a casino with a demo mode of horse racing, but it was something like when video games were before , in a way very old-fashioned, and I don't Know what the Criteria was for Winning the horse , I don't remember if there was something provably fair involved or something like that , because they were done on a cadre basis, and what the person did was bet, and of course that's  It was a casino model , because I Think that in the end it did not happen because there was not much receptivity on the part of the Players in bitcontalk, so in this order of ideas we as players sometimes do not know how to see or appreciate well Where and why some Games come from. It is true that betting options such as horse racing are only popular with people in few countries or in the sense that horse racing is only popular sport in certain circles.
If we talk about the gambling industry these types of sports will be less competitive with sports matches that are more popular in each country such as football basketball or even esports matches.

Well, some time ago there seemed to be bit of heated discussion about virtual horse racing but still not many people are following developments in all this.
