Man that was confusing as hell, could've just gone with a bet that could've changed your life but you didn't take (or weren't able to). Disappointed though to answer it, 100%. It might be something along the lines of "if it wasn't yours then nothing was really lost" kind of idea, but still, the "if" moment that it could've been yours. Hey this gambling anyways you have to be prepared for whatever outcome and only stake an amount that wont put a hole in your pocket,  sometime may be lucky to win and most times we record losses also,  but in both ways, we have to maintain one reality which is not to depend on gambling too much that a failed bet could affect our well being.

Greed will defeat gamblers and they will experience a lot of losses even though if they could stop in time, they would not experience many losses and could even enjoy their winnings. Greed and emotion will clearly prevent gamblers from getting their big wins because they won't know when they should stop immediately, even though they can win a lot of money. They should immediately stop right after winning a lot of money, withdraw their winnings, and leave the casino to enjoy the winnings.

Unfortunately, greed comes when they want to stop and tempts them to go back to gambling for one more round and only then can they stop.
