Yea, Germany is a strong contender as well, and am just realising I didn't include that team in my first three selects. This team has excellently won two of their games, the first which was an easy one while that of Ivory coast didn't come on a tray platter. It was almost looking like Ivory coast were going to surprise the world on scoring that early minutes goal but at last Germany overpowered.

That's true almost every World Cup period in the modern era, especially since the quality of their players is so good.
My real doubts for Germany are in their attack as Kai was not the ideal target man to begin with but now they have an option where Deniz Undav could provide a bit of a difference to the German squad.

Being a favorite for them is a given and for now they will definitely qualify for the next phase but in the knock out phase things can get out of hand.
Last time they failed in the group stage as they lost against Japan and drew against Spain but this time they will definitely do much better although in the knock out phase it is a bit difficult to predict as it depends on the draw as well.

The only member of that squad that's still in the current team is the goalkeeper and captain of the team Manuel Neuer. I totally agree with you, when you look at this German team, you can’t pinpoint a player that will actually make a difference in the team when the comes. We saw how they struggled again Ivory Coast, it cote’ivore had taken their chances they might have won that match. So for I think if Germany face a more clinical team or even a top nation they might find it difficult to cope.
For now they have qualified to the next round of the tournament, but so far I’m still yet to be impressed, their style of play is not just superior to me.

I respect your opinion, but it seems Germany is overhyped. They might win with massive score against Curacao, but they were also almost losing against Ivory Coast. So i don't think they will perform far different when they fight a stronger club.

No doubt they're being placed at 7th in the outright. The can deliver better since they're one of football house nation. Their game against Ecuador will give us insight whether they can beat other good nation or not.

Ecudor is slightly higher than Ivory Coast. So i expect a tough game for Germany. If they're losing this, winning title is just a dream.

They struggled a lot to beat Ivory Coast. If Ivory Coast's attacking players hadn't been so clumsy, taking the ball and shooting without thinking, I'd say Germany would have conceded 3 or 4 goals. That game clearly showed that Germany shouldn't be seen as favorites. The moment they face teams of average strength, they'll lose, and I don't even want to imagine if they played against opponents like France; they would lose. In my opinion, at least so far, France, Spain, and Argentina are contenders who have convinced me that they can truly be contenders to reach the final. Now, whether they will win the World Cup, I don't know.

Germany is still among the favorites in this World Cup and we can see that they have already reached the knockout stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as a result they were able to overcome the regret of not reaching the knockout stages in the previous two seasons. Germany opponents in the Group E are weak ones comparing to many other groups. If Germany was kicked from the group stage here then they should retire the whole team and start over.
Germany this time seems to be more serious in the tournament rather than politics and sending controversial messages. They need to prove themselves because scoring 7 goals against a poor team means nothing and winning by 1 goal difference in the second match doesn't make them way good. They aren't facing France or Argentina..

Well every one have expectations from different team and it really not a bad thing. For me I see Germany too amongst the favorites but for real I don’t see them winning the World Cup, not with this squad. After watching that match against Ivory Coast, I just see that they are not there yet. If Ivory Coast had been clinical they would have won or even drawn that match.

It will be no secret to football observers that Germany is extremely team oriented. The fact that there is no pure, lethal striker however, translates to them seldom performing their best. In my opinion Germany is in need of a long term goalscorer. Without a great forward, it's difficult for a team to win any major football tournament.

Friend, what the hell are 6 points? These were the games against Curacao and Ivory Coast! Not against Spain and France  Moreover, their game against Ivory Coast was extremely questionable and they won, if I remember correctly, only in the 6th minute of added time.
Overall, I agree that things aren't that bad for them, but the fact is that they're not in the main group of favorites and that's absolutely justified. For me personally, they are not much different from Brazil, which was also formidable in the past, but is not the same now.
