It is as if Anadolu Efes saw the post I made; they have started strengthening their roster. They have reached a 1+1 year agreement with Mike James.
Monaco has weakened significantly following Mike James's departure.
They will not be competing in the EuroLeague next season.
Anadolu Efes is also set to extend Jordan Loyd's contract.
I was expecting Cedi Osman to join the team, but reports linking him to PAOK have started to emerge.

Damn, didn't see that coming. I thought Mike James would sign with some "bigger" name but I guess the offer, meaning the money, must have convinced him. Definitely a great pickup. Monaco next season with be in the bottom 6, that's for sure. They are bound to lose many more players this offseason and we will see a totally different team in the next campaign!

My friend, which team do you mean by a "bigger" club? There are teams bigger than Anadolu Efes, like Real Madrid or Barcelona, but apart from those two, there isn't a team bigger than Anadolu Efes.
We all know very well that James is a problematic player. Anadolu Efes will fill the void left by Larkin with him, but I hope James isn't still acting up at his age. He will get paid on time at Anadolu Efes.
I hope he proves to be an asset.

Deal is done and announced. Wow I am little emotional right now, after seeing Larkin in Fener colours. Efes fans had, quite frankly, started to hate Larkin in this last season. He was on an incredibly high salary, but not only was he constantly getting injured and missing matches, his performance wasn’t up to star standard either. So Efes were racking their brains trying to work out how to get out of his massive contract. Larkin agreed to leave the team of his own accord – meaning he would take a financial hit – which was actually something of a miracle for Efes. But seeing him in Fenerbahce colours is truly heartbreaking, I can say as an Efes fan.

For those who don’t know, Larkin was selected 18th overall in the first round of the 2013 NBA draft. He recorded a 44-inch vertical jump at the NBA Combine. But just one week after the draft, he suffered a very serious leg fracture. He was never able to fully recover for the NBA. But by coming to the EuroLeague, he was able to prove himself as a star player.

A video in which Larkin talks about his injury: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DAot6uYTQ/

I'm also not sure why Saras wanted to have him so much. Healthy Larkin is still good, but obviously beyond his prime. But as you say, he is strugling with injuries in recent seasons.
James to Efes is also will be something very interesting to follow, knowing his difficult personality.

Fenerbahçe is building a strong team for the EuroLeague. I also expect Beşiktaş to bring in new players.
I am following Anadolu Efes closely as well. Anadolu Efes has lost some strength, too. I wonder if they are planning to downsize the team?
Panathinaikos has become a very powerful team. With "Obra" coming on board as head coach, Panathinaikos is set to be the top contender for the championship next season.

Fenerbahçe has made a strong start to the transfer window, and with a powerful roster and a new team president, they are among the top contenders for the championship next season. Most recently, they added Shane Larkin to the roster. Larkin’s quality is undisputed. He is a highly talented player who thrives when the momentum is on his side. Fenerbahçe has long lacked a good point guard, and Larkin is the perfect fit to fill that void. If he adapts quickly to the team, we can expect another Fenerbahçe run where they sweep all the trophies.

Anadolu Efes was a big club before but in last couple of years they just arent the team they once were. With Larkin leaving it will be a big gap for them and i dont give them much hopes in the future. Mike James is an amazing player but i think he is currently just too old and i doubt he can help them a lot. Still i think they need more good players if they want to reach at least the playoffs next season.

I don't see much of a meaning in Fenerbahçe to have signed Shane Larkin. He is 33 years old now and quite injury prone at the same time.

Apart from that his performance wasn't that impressive last season either. We don't have the same Larkin anymore due to getting old. Sad

I just hope Saras really knows what he is doing. He is one of the great coaches in Euroleague so I guess he would find a way to get the best out of him.

Dusan Alimpijevic's contract has been extended by 2 years. The entire club and the fans have confidence in him. We've played in many finals since he arrived. Now it's time to win trophies. I think we'll win trophies within these next 2 seasons. Hopefully one will be Turkish League championship.

We've made a new signing for the backcourt rotation. Jaylen Nowell has joined us from the NBA. I think he can make a significant contribution to the team. Now we need to make some major signings for the frontcourt rotation. The backcourt rotation is looking pretty good. I think 2 or 3 more players will be joining. It's a must for the squad depth as well.

I agree with you on that. They had a really poor season last year.
Larkin left, but Mike James came in to replace him.
So far, Anadolu Efes hasn't made the kind of impressive signings seen in previous years.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are in the same boat; I haven't heard of any headline-grabbing signings from them either.
The transfers made by Panathinaikos and ASVEL have dominated the conversation during this period.
As for our team, Beşiktaş, they’ve signed a two-year deal with Alimpijevic. If they can follow that up with two or three impactful signings, it would be excellent for the EuroLeague.

I'm happy for Beşiktaş that they didn't lose Alimpijević to a bigger team yet. Because he is among the valuable European coaches despite not managing big teams for now.

He is capable of doing great things with average rosters. I would like to see his capabilities with a much better one if they make good transfers for the Euroleague.

The financial burden will be quite high on them next season. I hope they deal with it and remain in this tournament for more years.

Looking at Anadolu Efes now and their current roster i dont think they will be able to reach the playoffs,i think they are really far from it and without any better players they wont be even close. Teams like Asvel and Panathinaikos got some crazy players and these two teams will surely be in the playoffs in the upcoming season.

My team Partizan currently has only 3 players in the roster,i dont know what is happening but we transfered out 8 players so far and counting,i dont know what we are waiting for but still we didnt get a single transfer in yet and im getting really worried for my team.

Fenerbahçe has also signed a one-year deal with Willy Clyburn. I see a lot of criticism on social media questioning whether a 36-year-old player like Clyburn should be signed. How old was De Colo this year? Both Larkin and Clyburn would make huge contributions to Fenerbahçe. I wish both of them were at my team, Beşiktaş.
Fenerbahçe is building a strong roster. Forest and Key will also do great things.

If the Beşiktaş management gives the basketball department the attention it deserves, I also believe the team could win a trophy within two years. I see winning the Turkish Cup as the most likely scenario.
It would be great if the quality of the squad continues to improve.
I am very pleased that three of our teams will be competing in the EuroLeague.
I am familiar with the four previous signings, but I don't know much about the new arrivals. If they had played in the EuroLeague, I would have known a bit about them, but I had never heard the names of these players coming from the NBA before. We saw what Tucker could do last year, and he turned out to be a good player.
I hope these new signings for Beşiktaş turn out well, too.

Mate, I’m worried our team is going to look like a bunch of EuroLeague veterans. 😂
If Saras blends these players well, we’ll be a serious contender in the EuroLeague again next season. Shane and Willy didn’t come here for nothing; if money were the only goal, they would have gone to Dubai Basket.
Panathinaikos worries me for next season. They’ve built a strong squad, and they have the Obradović factor on their side.
By the way, I’m really happy that Beşiktaş is in the EuroLeague, too. Dušan made Beşiktaş fall in love with basketball—just like Obra and Saras did for us.

I was thinking in a similar way. Sure, these additions have nice and kinda big names, but these names also carry significant age. In a season with like 38 euroleague games, 34 domestic league games and maybe like 4 cup games you need to have youth in your roster as well. Sure, they will have some "local" youth to support the main cast but you also need some 20 something players that already have experience and can shine in critical moments. With a roster of all vets I don't see a team surviving such a long season.

Fenerbahçe is criticized maybe because of their general transfer policy so far. First Larkin and now Clyburn who are both old players. To tell the truth, signing experienced players isn't a bad thing.

I only doubt Larkin because of his long injury period last season. He couldn't perform the same in the Euroleague after that. But still who knows... Roster depth is getting really good for Fenerbahçe at the same time.

It makes me extremely happy that Dusan isn't leaving us, but if our team shines in the EuroLeague next year, he will likely receive offers from other EuroLeague clubs.
Jaylen Nowell is a player with over 200 NBA games under his belt, and he will provide us with valuable scoring contributions.
It would be great if we could sign one or two more impactful players.
Finishing in the top eight next season would be enough, but our current roster might not be sufficient for that.

We have lost many players so far. Tarık Biberovic, Devon Hall, Bonzie Colson and Khem Birch are the departures now. But we haven't been slow with new transfers at the same time thankfully.

8 players have joined the team as far as I know. Nice to hear that Melli and Horton-Tucker have also extended their contracts. They were also architects of the wins we got last season. Smiley

Saras is going serious for next season. Hopefully we will be a top contender for Euroleague championship this time.

It was clear long ago that my friend Hall would leave; he went back to the team (Milan) he had come from. Still, he gave it his all.
Tarık left for the sake of his own career.
I’d say he was the biggest loss for Fenerbahçe.
Losing Birch and Boston isn't a major blow.
The players replacing them—Key and Forest—are excellent.
If they don't have any trouble settling in, they’ll make a huge contribution to Fenerbahçe.
There hasn't been any news from my team, Beşiktaş, lately. We need to build a strong squad, too.
After all, we’ll be in the EuroLeague next season.

Cedi Osman has transferred to PAOK. He signed a 3-year contract and a signing ceremony was held in front of the fans. He most recently played for Panathinaikos and has remained in the Greek league. It seems unlikely he'll return to the NBA. He'll now continue his career in Europe. In fact, it was thought he had much greater potential. However he was never able to make that leap in his career.
Cedi Osman will be the first Turkish basketball player to play for PAOK in 19 years, following in the footsteps of İbrahim Kutluay. PAOK looks set to put together a strong roster for the Eurocup.

In Türkiye, both Fenerbahçe and Anadolu Efes wanted him. Fenerbahçe would have matched the salary PAOK offered, but he didn't come.
I was surprised that he didn't choose Anadolu Efes.
Turkey would have been a good choice for both him and his wife, but the 3 million Euro annual salary offered by PAOK seemed more attractive.
I don't know what the tax system is like in Greece, but Anadolu Efes's offer was a high figure. He would have ended up with more money in hand, yet he chose PAOK and the opportunity to compete in the EuroCup.
I wish him success.
