I watched the Milan-Fenerbahçe game yesterday when I had the chance. I liked the look of Fenerbahçe; they’ve built a strong roster for this season. They finished the Crete Cup in third place.
It seems Fenerbahçe’s "third-quarter slump" is going to continue this season. They were ahead for most of the game, but Milan took the lead in the third quarter. Fenerbahçe managed to secure the win late in the game, during the fourth quarter.
That was when Baldwin stepped up. The guy is a real game-breaker.

I liked Ignas Sargiunas.
I also liked Shavon Shields. He joined Fenerbahçe after spending six years at Milan. I wish we at Beşiktaş could have signed him.

Seeing teams like this, I don't think Beşiktaş stands much of a chance in the EuroLeague. We need to sign quality players.

Im really shocked that the first ever super cup in euroleague is being played outside of europe. Still i think this is a good idea,some top teams will be seen in this small tournament and we will see good basketball for sure i just wonder how serious this tournament will be because its before the season starts. I wonder how much money will the clubs and euroleague earn from these supercup.

I think it's nonsense. In my opinion the winner of the EL should host this event, not some random country that isn't even in Europe. Of course everything is about money but events like this make it even more apparent, which really is sad. Somehow this feels like FIFA 2.0, squeezing every last cent out of the sports and it's players.
Well, just another reason to rout against Dubai this upcoming season, as if we didn't have enough already, hahaha.

Yes, it really doesn't make any sense about Dubai's whole situation. Not only their participation in the euroleague, but also this super cup being played there. It makes me sick, just because of the money, something meaningful(although something new) is being played in UAE. I have been there lol it is really really not Europe. It's been quite some time but it is hard for me to accept them. It just doesn't feel natural. This supercup could be played somewhere like Lithuania, a real basketball place, and it would be much much better.

That's realitythat we have now.

Not that much to wait until new season. A bit more than week remains when most of leagues will beging or it will be Super Cup weekend in some countries. Ans exactly 2 weeks or 14 days until start of new Euroleague season.

Speaking of Dubai, they played a friendly game against Efes today and I had a chance to watched the whole game. They are actually seriously great now. Very solid roster and seems like their new coach is also well fitting. I think the moves they’ve made this summer are top-notch. I hate the guy but Shengelia is a very great player, what a for transfer Dubai. Walkup, Okobo and Blossomgame are also great. They already had a good roster and after these new transfers I think they can be quite deadly.

On Efes side, I think Saric is the best move and great transfer. Saric, Strazel and Mike James seem like they will have a great season. But rest of the team are not promising. I will be surprised if they can make it to playoffs.

Well many good players get hated, that's nothing new. And when these kind of players go to an unpopular team the disaster is complete, like when Lebron went to Miami or whatever.
I have been watching several practice games over the past weeks and many teams look strong already. Several countries such as Germany and France also already start their domestic cup competition, so the waiting time is finally over and we can see some official games being played already.

Shengelia is a good basketball player—he isn't inherently unlikable—but, just like Tavares, he can sometimes come across as unpleasant during a game.
I can't say I'm particularly fond of him either.
He will be playing for Dubai this season. Dubai added new names to the roster during the summer transfer window, so we might see a stronger Dubai team this year compared to last.

I wish Shengelia were on our team. The squad we’ve built isn't strong at all. We assembled a roster of athletic players, but I don't understand why we parted ways with Jonah Mathews.
We signed Mady Sissoko, but health issues came up, so we’ve suspended his contract. We’ll proceed based on the doctors' clearance for him to play.
This year, we’re going to be like Alba Berlin was in previous seasons.
I had expected a stronger roster to be built—one that would at least contend for the top eight—but I suppose the budget doesn't allow for that.

Champions league qualification is underway already and we already saw Manchester beating German side Würzburg yesterday.  The German team was a huge favorite and then blew it big time. Trailing big, finally getting the lead seconds before the end (made only 1 of 2 FT so the lead was 1) but fouled 4 sec before the end, Manchester made the FTs and won. 

Just shows you how unpredictable this game is again. Another German team is now playing against Denizli Basket from Turkey. Despite being a 7 point favorite I would be surprised if they lose as well.

Basketball-wise, he is really great, I'm surprised he couldn't make it in the NBA. But as far as his personal character is concerned, I think he’s a terrible person. It doesn’t really show in regular club matches(he must be holding himself back), but in national team matches he’s a proper scumbag. They had a massive brawl with our national team at EuroBasket 2022. They attacked our lads on their home court in Georgia, and Shengelia was one of the worst of the lot. What’s more, at EuroBasket 2025, he and his national team were also douchbags. They seem to think that starting a fight is a good thing, and I find that absolutely disgusting. But let's focus on basketball and he can have a great year in Dubai this season. I really like their roster. They’ll be one of the teams I’ll be most keen to watch this season.

2 powerhouse teams meeting in a cash grab tournament, kinds nice and sad at the same time, haha. I am hoping for the other game 3 hours later to be exciting, and also that Madrid will destroy the hosts of this exhibition, yet lokning at Dubai's roster this is not gonna be easy.  I mean why does it have to be in Dubai, for real!! And then having the "home team" competing despite being 11th in the EL last season is also kinda ridiculous.

In first semifinal it looked that Fenerbahche had game in their hands, but very poor 4th quarter didn't let them to win game. In other semifinal everything was decided only in overtime. Oh, now I remember this accident. I understand your feelings as you're from Turkey, but I see this thing a bit different. Probably there is no saint side in this conflict and it didn't raised out of nowhere. Especially when you know mentality of Turkish and Georgian people who are usually hot blooded and very emotional. And probably one conflict can't define whole career of player. It would be different if he would had long history of such conflicts.

I agree about Key. I liked him last year too and it seems like he adjusted the new team very good already. He will probably be great this year. What a good transfer for Fener. And seems like Shields is also going to be great. Fenerbahçe were much better than I’d expected. Although they reached the Final Four last year, they had quite a few weaknesses, but this year they’ve made some good signings and we can already say they’ve settled into the system. Last year, Jantunen was a real liability; they gave him plenty of playing time but got very little out of him. I think this year’s signings have shown they’ll be better. Surprisingly, I was impressed by Bingham. A centre who can shoot threes could do great things under Jasikevicius. However, Fenerbahçe had led by 10 points on about four occasions. Losing this match is actually quite a blow, but it’s only the first game of the season. They’ve sent out a message that they could be much better by the end of the season.

Real Madrid becomes first winners of Euroleague Supercup after beating Olympiacos in close game. In general, I quite liked idea of this tournament if not Dubai who don't belongs there. But without them and their money this tournament wouldn't happen. All 4 games were close, but quality of games weren't always highest, as it's first official games for all teams this season.
New Euroleague season begins on Thursday already.

Real Madrid won the first-ever EuroLeague Super Cup by defeating Olympiacos 93–89.
It was a highly entertaining game.
I had expected Olympiacos to take the trophy, but Real Madrid proved to be the better side. If I recall correctly, Olympiacos took the lead for the first time during the third quarter. Real Madrid opened up a 10-point gap again in the final quarter, but Evan Fournier stepped up in the closing minutes, hitting two three-pointers. Fournier took the final shot in the dying seconds, but the ball seemed to pop right back out of the rim.
We can say that Real Madrid, Olympiacos, and Fenerbahçe are ready for the EuroLeague season.
I was surprised to see Jantunen playing for Real Madrid.
He made a solid scoring contribution in this game. Just as the first half was ending, he casually flung the ball toward the basket, and thanks to a stroke of luck, it went in for a three-pointer.

Panathinaikos has built a strong team. I’ve watched Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, and Real Madrid in these matches; all three are excellent teams.
The EuroLeague season promises to be very exciting this year. These four teams ought to make the EuroLeague Final Four.
The signings of Key and Forest were excellent moves. If Shavon and Will are on their game, Fenerbahçe won't suffer any defeats. Right now, other teams are very strong at the center position; I hope Bingham hits top form. I’m really excited about the prospect of a EuroLeague championship this year.

This Real Madrid team is quite lucky. They were priced as underdog in this mini Supercup tournament and in the semi-final, they were down like 15 points against Dubai and somehow they managed to get back into the game and won. Then they went on to beat Olympiacos in the final. I'm sure that win was a delightful one for Real Madrid since its a revenge for their Euroleague final loss to Olympiacos just a few months ago.

This would be the first time I will follow the Euroleague season so I'm looking forward to it. I saw Olympiacos vs Fenerbahce a few days ago and I am pumped for more.

 EuroLeague season begins for us on Friday. Today, we have a Cup match against Fenerbahçe Tarfin. Fenerbahçe looks ready for both the league and the EuroLeague. I have no real hope of a win tonight; it would come as a surprise to me if we did manage to win.
The match that really matters is the one against Valencia on our home court this Friday. Valencia’s squad is significantly weaker compared to last year’s, yet they still have a better roster than we do.
It would be great to start the campaign with a win.
TJ Shorts and Mirotić are the players who have caught my eye; the others are something of an unknown quantity to me right now.
I hope we secure a victory in our first EuroLeague game.
